Located just a 5-minute walk from historic downtown Elizabethton and the beautiful Tweetsie Trail, you get unbeatable convenience paired with a cozy, throwback vibe. This is a completely self-contained, private 1300 sq ft guest suite w/ WiFi, Smart TVs, and laundry. 2 bedrooms featuring a king and queen bed, fully stocked kitchen with all new appliances, and amenities. Full bathroom w/ double vanity and hair dryer. The guest suite occupies the entire 1st floor of my home (Just above the basement floor and small-sized garages) and features a 100% private entrance, private parking, and zero shared indoor ammenities.
No Smoking, Vaping, Smokeless Tobacco, or Pets are allowed, in order to guarantee that the property is kept as neat and clean as possible. Blazing Fast Connectivity: Work or stream effortlessly with 200 Mbps symmetrical fiber internet with excellent WiFi coverage. Climate Control: Stay perfectly comfortable with brand-new, mini-split HVAC handlers in every room. Chef's Corner: Cook with ease in a fully updated kitchen featuring cookware, dishes, utensils, amenities + a dedicated coffee bar area that can also function nicely as a workspace. 2 similarly sized bedrooms include closets and drawers + Smart TV with Google Chromecast in the Bedroom w/ the King sized bed. The living room has plenty of comfortable seating including a reclining couch and Google TV + antenna for easily accessible local channels and a laptop desk with charging station. The laundry room includes a washing machine/dryer, clothesline, and laundry shelf. The property is located about 2 blocks from either the Tweetsie (Walking and Bicycling) Trail and Downtown Elizabethton and is stocked with amenities to provide guests with a relaxed and comfortable vacation or business stay. The house is heated with a natural gas / hot water radiator system that is very efficient at heating. It has mini-split style HVAC air handlers in each room to quickly and efficiently provide chilly air conditioning on hot days.

Guests may park in either driveway on the back side of the house near the apartment steps. There is 1 small closet that adjoins the apartment kitchen where we keep cleaning chemicals and supplies locked away. The Apartment Entry Door has a Smart WiFi Lock with a unique code that will be issued to guests shortly before check-in. There is also an outside entrance from the laundry that leads to the front side of the house. It is necessary to climb about 1 flight of steps to the apartment door and the steps have handrails and adequate lighting at nighttime; though the walkway is a little dim, but we can brighten the smart porch lights or adjust their lighting schedule if you ask, or just turn up the dimmer switch if you prefer. If you bring bicycles or kayaks etc for your stay, I'll open my garage for you to store them there if you like.

I am an Elizabethton native who enjoys going fishing in the nearby rivers and lakes. I'm also very glad to have the Tweetsie Trail so close to my home and enjoy bicycling there when I can manage to make the time. I played one form of guitar or another in bands with my friends for many years and still dabble in music as a pass-time hobby. I'm new to hosting on Airbnb and look forward to meeting new people and learning all the the ins and outs.

Elizabethton has a great balance of plenty of local things to do outdoors and downtown, but is quieter than many of the historic downtowns in the Tri-Cities area. We still have a small town feel here, but are only a short drive away from Johnson City or Bristol. We are minutes from some of the best trout fishing in the country and fantastic Watauga Lake. The neighborhood is peaceful, located in one of the best public school systems in Northeast Tennessee and located centrally near downtown. This is my grandparents house and my father and aunt were raised in it.

The house (constructed sturdily in 1921) is recently remodeled with comforting mini-split HVAC systems and natural gas radiator heat. We have a patio here and a large yard that is nice to sit in and relax. There is 1260 sq. ft. of living space in the apartment with direct access to Lynn Avenue and Downtown we are just off the beaten path and are rarely ever snowed in or without utilities. I respect everyone's privacy, but am a host who will be nearby and happy to help out if you need.
