Bellamente amueblada, esta casa de 3 niveles cuenta con una gran habitación tamaño Queen en el primer nivel, 2 suites principales con frente al golfo con baño privado y entradas privadas a la cubierta cubierta grande, y 2 habitaciones adicionales con un baño Jack & Jill en el segundo nivel . El nivel superior es una espaciosa suite principal con su propio baño, una mini nevera y un balcón privado. El nivel principal ofrece un plano de planta abierto con una cocina maravillosamente equipada (más un bar separado) que se abre hacia la gran sala de estar y comedor. ¡Bar Harbor Duplex es la casa de playa perfecta para su familia! Great for large families!

The house fit our needs. It was laid out perfectly for our family. I have a few complaints- all minor. There are a few general maintenance items that are needed. 1) The light bulbs for the main entry stairs and under the house need to be replaced. 2) There are lightbulbs/fixtures in the house that need some attention. 3) The house was tidy but could be cleaner - primarily the kitchen. 4) The AC on the 2nd floor needs some attention. It got pretty warm during the day.

Great family vacation

Excellent value and location. We had a great time and everyone was comfortable. It’s not the most up to date or remodeled property but it was perfect for the 14 of us and we all loved the house. Would absolutely book again for a large group.

Perfect Location!

House is directly on the beach, close to a few stores, neighbors don't feel too close. The size of the place was fantastic! Way bigger than we imagined. A few things are a bit outdated, furniture, bedding, cabinets. Some maintenance is needed (new screens on windows/screen door replaced (to help with flies), tvs (mainly larger in the living room, the space is so huge, it would just make sense 😁). Having 3 refrigerators (large in kitchen, small at the wetbar and small on the 3rd floor) and 2 dishwashers for a large family was FABULOUS!! Overall it was a wonderful stay and we'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Battered and tired

This was a spacious property with a great location. (Positives) It is OLD and felt so dingy and “unclean”. The old and dirty carpet made it necessary to keep shoes on 24/7. Bathrooms (showers) need attention. The porch had broken screens and no furniture safe to use. Property manager was a Realty group that requires going to their office for check-in/departure. Would NOT recommend this property unless a major overhaul was done!

Overall very happy with our stay.

I read previous reviews and was expecting the worst. We had no maintenance issues. Absolutely loved the location and the privacy of the beach. The house was very clean. There are no locks on any of the sliding doors which didn’t bother us but could to some. The living room furniture could be updated (they’re a little worn down) but it still serves its purpose. Overall we were very happy with our stay and enjoyed every minute!

Family Vacation 2021

As previous reviews stated, this house is in a perfect location directly on the beach & the views can't be beat. It is also a lot of space for large groups/families like ours. However, also as previous reviews stated, it needs maintenance. We originally booked based on location and the fact that we were told it was being completely gutted and redone. I was also told there would be updated pictures once the renovation was complete. I was told multiple times the renovation was complete and the pictures would be updated "soon", but they never were. When we arrived at the house, the furniture was exactly the same as the furniture in the pictures. It is also still very dirty and dingy. We had to put sheets on top of them before we were comfortable sitting. Also when we arrived, all sinks were dripping, the disposal did not work, one of the lights in the kitchen was burned out, the tv in the living room did not work, the ceiling fan in the third floor bedroom did not work, the portable AC unit in the 3rd floor bedroom did not work, the sliding door to the balcony didn't open and the handle on the sliding door coming into the main floor was broken and sharp. We called the office first thing on Monday (arrived Sat). The first person we spoke to at Reed actually hung up on us after we voiced our disappointment in the house. We did finally speak to maintenance who was extremely nice, apologetic and came to the house that afternoon. He did tell us that the house had new flooring (on the 2nd and 3rd floor) and walls but they were not able to replace the furniture in time. He also let us know that the furniture had been steam cleaned. After we showed it to him, he took pictures to show the office. If we had been told this at the beginning or when we had called/emailed about the renovation, it wouldn't have been as big of a deal. I did send an email to Lynn through VRBO after the first girl hung up on us so I would have everything in writing. I asked that she contact me as soon as possible. I didn't hear back from her. As mentioned before, if you are looking for a space for large families/groups and right on the beach, this is great.

Review of Bar Harbor East

Property needs some TLC. Locks missing on sliding glass doors, cooktop cracked, lights burnt out, switch-plates loose. Extra towels and wash clothes would have been nice. There was only one per guest. Paper products such as paper towel, trash bags and extra toilet paper would have been nice. Furniture was very stained and dirty as were the throw rugs. We also had a problem with cockroaches and the mgmt. did call an exterminator who came the next morning. But, the space was the right size for our group and the location was perfect. The beach was beautiful and not crowded.

Family vacation 2020

Beach access was great. The house was nice but definitely needs some attention. There’s mold in nearly every room. The fridge smelled like rotted meat until we cleaned it. The furniture is very dingy. However, we aren’t a high maintenance family so all in all it was a fun trip. The house just needs a little bit of money put back into it. You won’t find a better beach access than this property though

Family Time

Overall the property is nice, but it needs maintenance. The master suite smoke detector was laying on a dresser. Not much help if there had been a fire. A few of the sinks dripped continuously. Mainly it was the cleanliness. Whoever is cleaning the property is NOT doing the job. I picked up a rug and there was sand everywhere. The refrigerator smelled terrible, so NO WAY had it been cleaned out. We literally had to hold our breath each time we opened the door. So the beach was wonderful, people were friendly, the house was nice. but needs some T.L.C. Would we stay there again, not sure, if I knew some upkeep had been done and cleaned thoroughly then YES. Location was great and the house had room for all of us to spread out. So not a bad experience at all but for the money expected at least a cleaner facility.

Excellent beach access but...

This property has great access to the beach with exceptional views from most every room in the house. I love that every bedroom has its own bathroom which makes sharing a rented space with a large family so much easier. However, the house is very outdated with leaky ceilings, dirty/soiled living room furniture and dirty carpet. Many improvements are needed to update this property and for the weekly rental price I expected more. Overall, the beach access is the best my family has ever had, but due to the lack of upkeep with the property we will not be returning.

Plenty of space, perfect location

Proximity to the Gulf was perfect and the rooms were very spacious. Property was not very well maintained however. Shower rods were rusty and curtains a little moldy. Faucet in downstairs bathroom drips constantly, sliding glass door difficult to open, very little silverware for a house that sleeps 16 people. We were given 10 towels upon arrival, contacted the rental agency and they brought 5 more... still not even enough to have 1 per person so we bought our own at dollar general. Lots of little things needed updating but it didn't bother us. The size fits our family so we would book again, I just really wish the home were updated a little, then it would be perfect.

Great location but needs maintenance.

Pros House is in a great location. Very quiet and beach was secluded. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The house was very spacious we were a family of 13 and we all had plenty of room the spread out and do our own thing as well as come together and do dinner and play games when we wanted. Cons House is very dated you can not go in one room of the house and not find something that need to be fixed. The back door handle on the sliding doors were broken upon arrival. The doors to some of the bedrooms and closest were coming apart. Light bulbs needed replacing. Faucets leaked. Screen door did not function properly. Torn or missing screens on windows. What looked to be black mold growing on the vents and ceiling of the 3rd floor bedroom. The list goes on and on. Our vacation was interrupted by 3 days of a non functioning second Ac unit. Texted after hours number and was told someone would be there first thing in the am did not hear anything by late afternoon so I texted again to find out a status. I was told someone would be there soon. A few hours later the ac guy came did what he could but let us know that the rental company was aware that the unit was shot and they would be replacing it a few days after our departure. This was something they had known about and had this same man out for several times but we were never offered any type of compensation for our inconvenience.

Family Vacation

We loved everything about this place. The beach was just a few steps away and the screened porch was perfect. The rooms were very large and the living room fit all 16 of us nicely. My only two complains were the parking due to the thick sand was very limited and the A/C could have been turned down before we arrived because the house was 85 degrees inside and took 2 days to cool off. We enjoyed our stay and would book this house again.

Family Trip

Our on problem was only 2 of 6 TV's worked. There were not enough towels we had to go buy some. Also the lack of bath mats was hazard I bought 2 and left them their as a courtesy to future clients. Other than those few things we loved it and the kids did to. Thank you for a wonderful family trip.

Not well maintained

Not even enough hot water for more than 2 showers at any time. Remote to tv had no batteries; sheets and bed linens threadbare; towels few and very thin. Window shades in some rooms don’t work. I was disappointed with the property ; not up to par with other units I rented through Meyers in the past. Will not use this rental company again.

Needs some paint/repair to ceiling leaks. Attention to mattress’ in first & top level. Washer/Dryer has issues😳 Overall was very pleased👍
