Acerca de este alojamiento
Mountain top private lake cottage includes canoe & rowboat, fireplace & firepit
Atop a mountain sits Perch Lake—a pristine, spring-fed lake that’s private, motorboat-free, and a mile long. Paddle through morning mist in the included rowboat or canoe, stargaze from your dock unobstructed by city lights, and savor the rare privilege of staying where properties have been held for generations. Sunsets dip behind mountain peaks, casting golden reflections across the still water. This peaceful haven now welcomes guests for the first time.
The space
Perch Lake is a rare gem: spring-fed, crystal clear, motorboat-free, and surrounded by protected forests. This legacy home sits directly on the lakefront, offering guests a front-row seat to nature’s quiet drama—mist lifting off the water, bald eagles fishing in the shallows, and stars so vivid they seem to echo across the hills. With no city lights for miles, stargazing from the dock is nothing short of spectacular.
Guests enjoy private lake access with a canoe and rowboat, a dock for swimming or stargazing, and trails that wind through fiery fall foliage or snow-laced woods. Inside, the house blends rustic charm with thoughtful updates: a cozy hearth, lake-facing windows, and spaces designed for connection and calm.
The master bedroom features a brand-new bed with a headboard equipped with two USB ports and two built-in power outlets—ideal for charging devices overnight. The COMFBOX hybrid mattress combines cooling gel memory foam and zoned support coils to cradle your body, relieve pressure, and minimize motion transfer for a restful night’s sleep.
Whether you're retreating with family, reconnecting as a couple, or seeking creative solitude, this home invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and feel the rhythm of the seasons.
For long-term guests, we offer access to gardening, cleaning, and baking supplies. You're welcome to plant in our natural vegetable and herb garden, use the large pots scattered around the property, and truly make the place your own. Get your baking on, roast vegetables fresh from the soil, or gather around the firepit for classic s’mores under the stars. This is a home that welcomes your rhythm, your rituals, and your creativity.
Guest access
Guests have full, private access to the entire cottage and lakefront. That includes the dock, canoe, rowboat, swimming area, trails, and all indoor and outdoor spaces. Lifejackets are provided for your safety and peace of mind, whether you're paddling at sunrise or floating under the stars.
In autumn, the surrounding hills erupt in brilliant color—reds, golds, and deep amber reflected in the still water. Whether you're sipping coffee on the porch, hiking through the woods, or curling up by the fire, the property is entirely yours to enjoy.
Please note: all lakefront homes here share a deeded responsibility to maintain a walking path along the shoreline, allowing neighbors and guests to respectfully enjoy access around approximately 80% of the lake. While your lakefront is private for swimming and boating, you may occasionally see others quietly passing through on foot. It’s part of the legacy of this place—and a lovely way to feel connected to the land and community.
