This cottage was everything we could have asked for and more! Beautifully decorate with perfect details to each room. We took a family of 8 and had plenty room for more. This was a wonderful property that exceeded our expectations in every way! It was uniquely and beautifully decorated which made it feel much more like home. It is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. The location is perfect and close to so many fun places to visit - Mentone, Ft. Payne, DeSoto state park, hiking trails, falls… communication with hosts was exemplary! The back porch and fire pit areas were well used and there was plenty of space for everyone (4 adults and 3 kids!) We will definitely be back!

It sounds like your group enjoyed some of the main attractions on Lookout Mountain….and then were able to wind down at the cottage afterwards around the fire pit. Beautiful home. Great quality mattressesAnd sheets! It was cold and there were plenty of pillows and blankets. Living room with fireplace spacious yet cozy. We LOVED the decor an feeling of this home. 10/10 on the home and kindness of the owners. Recommend!!!

Huckleberry Haven was very cozy, all necessities were provided, it felt like being at home. David, the manager, kept in contact to be sure we had everything we needed. I would strongly recommend a stay here. There are lots of places to visit in the area and some very good resturants.

Family weekend

Stayed here with my grown children, plenty of room, clean, the host was just marvelous. The weather was cold and rainy but we made the best of it. We would definitely stay again

I had booked another cabin inadvertently for 2027, which was not available for this year when I realized my mistake. I had to broaden my search area because many cabins in the area we originally planned for were also not available. What started out as a mistake and disappointment turned into a wonderful blessing for our family. Huckleberry Haven was definitely a “meant to be.” I cannot say enough great things about the owner, the property, and location. The house is beyond charming and so comfortable that it feels like the best hug. We have stayed in many VRBOs through the years and this is by far one of our favorites. Sarah and Jasper have gone to great lengths to make you feel welcomed. The home is well stocked with a variety of kitchen items, seating and beds, and plenty of towels! Sarah has a true gift for decorating…just precious. We appreciated all the extra touches that made everyone feel right at home. One of my grandsons (7) said he wanted to come here again and again. Mentone has always been such a great place to visit, but now we look forward to returning just so we can stay in Huckleberry Haven!
