Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the view, kitchen, and amenities during your stay. That said, we take concerns about safety very seriously, and we feel it’s important to clarify a few points for future guests. This cabin is located within an established mountain community where we have owned and operated rentals for over 25 years. There are 13 cabins in the immediate area on large, wooded lots, and it is very common to see deer and other wildlife. For many of our guests, this natural, secluded setting is exactly what they are seeking. We also want to note that this was a solo stay, and we understand that traveling alone can sometimes heighten sensitivity to surroundings—especially in a quiet, wooded mountain setting like ours. During your stay, when you expressed that you were uncomfortable, we promptly offered to relocate you to another home, which is something we always try to do when a guest is not satisfied. That option was declined. Regarding the lighting and door locks, all exterior doors are equipped with functioning locks, and the property meets safety standards. We will, however, review the exterior lighting to ensure everything is operating as intended. While this peaceful, private environment may not be the right fit for every guest—particularly solo travelers who may prefer a more populated setting—most of our guests appreciate the seclusion and return year after year. We wish you the best in finding accommodations that better match your personal comfort preferences.
