Wonderful Massanutten Vacation

We had another wonderful stay in Massanutten and this property didn't disappoint. We had a great time in the log house and loved the mountain views.

Had a great weekend on the slopes! The house had tons of games for the kids. Main reason we booked was for the pool table. The hosts were fantastic and helped with a slight issue with pool table. Wonderful!!

Great location, very clean, spacious and well-stocked!

We had a fantastic three day stay with our four adult children and older parents. The location was great. The beds were comfortable and the three floors gave us a little room to spread out and not be on top of each other. Everything was very clean and there was a great selection of DVDs and games for all ages. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook several meals with both a regular coffee maker and a Keurig. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice Place

It wasn't quite as nice as the pictures but was very adequate. The Christmas decorations were a plus and even with no snow we had a wonderful time with family.

Kim & Ken's (modern) Log Cabin, near center of activity in Resort.

Very clean and comfortable. Nicely furnished. Three stories, including a walk-out basement Rec-Room with a pool table and a foos-ball table. Great for a large family with small children and/or teenagers. Many games (e.g., Lincoln Logs) and DVDs (e.g., Harry Potter) available. Owners (Kim & Ken) are easy to deal with.

It was fine.

Positives: - It was basically clean and stocked with essentials. - Solid Wi-Fi, which was important for virtual JMU graduation ceremony! - It was a little tight for 11 people, but it was very cozy and "warm." Concerns / Disappointments: - Accidents happen, but when my daughter found a dirty pair of socks in her bed, she (understandably) freaked out. Of course, this meant she was sleeping on dirty sheets....including pillow case! - Staying there over Mother's Day weekend meant tons of pollen.....homeowner can't control that.....but the entire (huge) porch was totally unusable, since it hadn't been cleaned and was caked in pollen. - Lightbulbs burn out.....no big deal.....but two different lights/lamps were broken. That's ridiculous. - Having three bathrooms was OK, but only two showers (for 11 people) wasn't a good plan. Jacuzzi tub instead of third shower is silly. - Worn-out furniture in main living area. I don't want to feel the springs in an "overstuffed" chair! - Thousands of Cable TV channels on the box, but only about 10 were functional. We didn't make our trip to watch TV.....but, still....you would expect much more, given the location/setting/cost. - Especially given how "aggressive" the rental literature / agreement was ("don't do this, don't do that!!"), it was irritating that the directions to the dumpster were confusing and incorrect. - Had to bring our own propane for the grill......really?!? Overall, for the huge amount of money we spent for two nights, we weren't thrilled. It was FINE. We will definitely look for another property for our next visit.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -We take the cleanliness of the cabin very seriously and have passed your concerns along to the cleaning crew. -The set-up of the bathrooms as well as the square footage of the cabin is as described in the listing, and we're sorry if it caught you off guard or didn't suit your needs. -Unfortunately, the cabin is located in a heavily wooded area where pollen is heavy in early May - this is out of our control. -We were careful not to include propane in the listing as an amenity so as not to mislead guests, as it is not accessible to them. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We look forward to hosting many more satisfied guests!

Wonderful getaway

Our family visits Skyline Drive annually. We have stayed in Massenutten Cabins for many years. we have enjoyed all the cabins and the area. Can’t wait until next year.

Cozy and Perfect place for weekend stay

Family Vacay

This visit was the second time we stayed in this house, and it was memorable in spite of Covid and a hurricane that blew through. We love the house, and it is big enough for all family members to spread out. It is clean and well stocked. We love the porch swing, the neighborhood, and the peace and quiet. We visited Luray Caverns, ate ice cream, hiked, swam in the outdoor part of the Indoor/Outdoor Water Park, BBQed and just had an overall great time. The owners were very responsive and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay.

Lovely cabin with lots to do inside. Great amount of space for everyone.

We had a fantastic time relaxing and resting at this cabin. It was well equipped with everything you can need. We would love to come back.

Perfect Cozy Cabin

It was just the right fit for our weekend get away. The location was beautiful and close enough to many things while still managing to feel somewhat secluded. We spent time at Shenandoah National Park which was super close. Our kids loved having daily wildlife visitors right out front.

Great house! Great location!

Bear's Landing is very comfortable! It was a great location for a Girl Scout troop getaway. It is convenient to the ski lodge and the go karts. The girls were able to do their GS activity and the dads played pool in the basement. There was plenty of room for sleeping, eating and hanging out.

Great house for a large group. The basement is great for kids!

We enjoyed our stay! The close proximity to the ski slopes and water park made it a really fun stay. The furnishings are very nice and comfortable.

Great place for a large group. So much to do!!

What a great house and location. Large groups will have fun, sleep well, and have an incredible time here. Location is key and there is so much to do even outside of the resort. So h Glad we booked here!
