Cottage en Granja Familiar - Oeste de U. F./ Gainesville / Newberry

Encantadora casa de estilo granero en una granja familiar de 20 acres en el centro norte de Florida, justo al oeste de Gainesville.

La casa está en la finca de la familia y tiene una bonita vista de ondulantes praderas. Es una casa de campo / 1 baño 1 dormitorio que duerme 6-8. Cuenta con una cama matrimonial y una cama matrimonial en el dormitorio y un sofá cama de tamaño completo en la alcoba. Cuenta con una cocina totalmente equipada, una sala de estar / comedor y 1 cuarto de baño con un lavabo doble independiente. Hay un pequeño loft de almacenamiento en el dormitorio. La casa también cuenta con internet inalámbrico, t local. v., un reproductor de DVD y DVD, y una lavadora y secadora. Cuenta con un patio cercado con su propia entrada. Ropa de cama y utensilios de cocina.

Estamos situados entre Newberry, Fl y Trenton, Fl, 22 millas al oeste de Gainesville, Florida. Es un lugar tranquilo y cómodo para alojarse cuando visite la Universidad de Florida. Estamos a sólo 5 millas al oeste del Easton Newberry Archery Center y Canterbury Equestrian Showplace. Estamos cerca de la Ruta Estatal Costa de la Naturaleza (ciclismo, senderismo, paseos a caballo) y hay muchos manantiales de la zona. Estamos 48 millas de Cedar Key, 53 millas de Ocala, 99 millas de St. Agustín / Media Luna Beach, 128 millas de Disney World ya 20 millas directamente al oeste de la I-75.

Great Stay for Quick Weekend

I was in town with family. This rental was located in a nice, quiet area with a great view of the farm. There was plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. We would highly recommend staying here when in Gainesville or nearby!

Hidden Treasure!

My family and I stayed here for a baseball tournament located in Newberry, FL. The cottage met all the needs of our family of 6. Great place to stay and close to the ballpark and the state parks.

Beautiful Property and Cottage

Was absolutely enamored by the cottage inside and out! Very clean and organized, and very much appreciate the binder with info. We wish we could have stayed longer, and will likely be back to further explore the area!

One night stay

We enjoyed our stay with our dog. She had a great time running around in the large fenced in property , we lit the fireplace when I got dark and enjoyed the peaceful night sky .Cows, chickens, and roosters running around plenty of amenities nearby, it was a relaxing enjoyable one night stay

Relaxing, family farm, cattle fun to watch.

Nice stay, nicely stocked kitchen, close to my sister in Gainesville. Only wish we we would have had more water pressure in the shower. Enjoyed visit from the 2 cats.

Beautiful farm with nice cottage!

Great location! All necessary paper products and towels & linens were provided for a comfortable stay. Our Labrador pup was right at home sleeping over night on the pet covered sofa in the alcove & running in the fenced in yard. The cattle and chickens were fun to watch as well as the awesome sunrises!

Peace & Quiet To The Max!!

If you want peace & quiet & time to get away from the mad rush of life, this is the place. You can sit around all day & watch the cows & chickens & never hear a peep. Owners are right next door, but they don't say boo and you barely see them. Place had everything you need - well equipped kitchen & bathroom. It is a bit old, but has lots of character. Out in the farm lands of Florida - was a wonderful change from the busy shore areas. Would have liked more than just local channels on TV (limited), but bring your laptop & phone. Would love to return! Just what we needed.

Perfectly Relaxing

From the moment I was greeted by the farm's cat I knew I'd made the right selection. My week was made extra comfortable by a sweetly decorated space, comfortable beds and an explosion of stars in the night sky by a warm fire pit. I will definitely look to stay here again.

Lovely little cottage!

Stayed at this lovely cottage for two nights while visiting my son at UF. The location is secure and quiet, and an easy, pleasant drive from Gainesville. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We didn't cook, however, the kitchen was stocked with ample supplies. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Relaxing Stay

After a week of touring round Georgia and Alabama it was good to have a rest at the barn. Although the property is 'rustic' it does have some lovely views and we did see a lot of different birds including woodpecker, cardinals, blue jay etc. We enjoyed visits to many of the state parks in the area and also visits to High Springs and Williston for some antique shopping. Newberry is a very pretty town too, just down the road. One tip, take a hairdryer if you need one as I couldn't find one at the property, glad I had my own with me.

Second visit

We stayed here in 2014 when taking our mother to visit the area where she was born (1926) and grew up. We returned this week, with extended family. The cottage and grounds were exactly as we remembered them, with the addition of a drawing hanging on the wall, that my daughter had left for the owners, in 2014. What a surprise and joy to see! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cottage with us.

Love this place!

This is my second year staying at the cottage for 2 weeks at a stretch. We love it! My grandson (4 year old) loves the farm and the experience of being out in the country. It is the perfect place if you are traveling with pets too. My elderly Beagle had no trouble going in and out as there are no steps. The host is super easy to contact and replies ASAP. The beds are very comfortable. I asked my grandson what was his favorite thing about the cottage and he said everything! My thoughts exactly.

Cute, Comfortable, Convenient!

I slept well every night and was comfortable every day. The cottage was ideally situated for my travel plans in the area, but also a pleasant place to wile away a day of relaxation. As a kind-of city girl, seeing the cows in the nearby pasture and hearing the roosters greet the dawn were bonuses. Thank you!

Prancing Pony is Perfect

The cottage at Prancing Pony Farm was great! Its décor was cute,& the cottage was very clean. Everything we needed was supplied for us. The setting was very homey & peaceful with horses, cows, roosters, chickens, dogs, & cats. We only stayed one night, but it was our best nights sleep on our 4 day journey. If our daughter decides to attend the University of Florida, we will definitely stay at the cottage on the farm again.

Reclusive and Pleasant Environment

Quiet, peaceful location. Perfect as a retreat to work on projects. It is a bit away from most attractions so travel was frequent. Golf available in Chiefland, about 20-25 miles away or Dunnelon, around 40 miles. Otherwise the options were in Gainseville. Two small towns about 6 or 7 miles away each with some restaurant options, grocery and gas. Accomodation was roomy and had more than adequate kitchen and laundry facilities. Very affordable.

I hope to stay here again.

Extremely pleased. The host even took my grandson (age 3) in to feed the chickens with her! She also brought us a new remote so he could watch the Disney movies provided. More pillows and linens than you will ever need. Cottage is very roomy and even has a bedroom in the loft. My old pup had a great place to hobble around off leash as the whole property was fenced in. One reason I picked the cottage was due to it being on a farm- quiet, beautiful views - early one morning there were deer in the pasture- and easy to find. I think I have found my home away from home for the future. And I have to also mention the T.A.R.D.I.S that greets you as you turn in to the property.

Cute, clean farmhouse with loft

The home was easy to find. The drive was lovely. The inside was clean and neat and pretty roomy for just 2 of us. The upstairs loft was a nice touch for kids or shorter people. Double sinks in the bathroom, tub and toilet were clean and worked great. Kitchen was small but quaint and well-stocked. The bedroom had 2 double beds. I would have preferred a queen bed but our bed was comfortable. ACs took a while to cool but worked well. The farm was cute but the main house is close and visible. Some more vegetation would give more of a private feel We fed a horse and met a couple adorable mini cows and saw some ducks. That was a nice change of pace. The price was reasonable and the home was pet friendly. The wifi was free but slow. It was adequate for a night. A hot tub would make it 5 stars.

Perfect Place To Get Away

My family was in the area for my son's graduation from UF. It's about 30 minutes away from campus and we were happy to get away from the traffic! The best part was waking up early on the morning of graduation and sitting on the front porch to drink in the calm and serenity before the busy day.

Our family loves living out in the country and the area has some rolling hills and a nice view. It is quiet and peaceful and at the same time, close to many attractions and a convenient distance to Gainesville.

We built the cottage for visiting family, but it isn't used much, so we decided to make it available as a vacation rental. It is a great place to stay whether you're traveling to the area for sports events, to visit the University of Florida, or just to spend some time in the country!
