The Space:

Spaciously laid out, this cabin-style home is designed for elbow room. Everyone can help make morning waffles in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen. The centrally-located living room is perfect for game nights, especially if there's a fire going in the wood-burning fireplace. Outside, explore the deck and picnic area set up around by the private gas grill. The hot tub is private and towels are provided! Younger guests will love the fairy ring and fun places to play within the woods. When it's time to turn in, guests can pick out a bedroom with a skylight or a bonus futon.



The surrounding trees may make guests feel like they're staying in their own forest - and they're not far off! Van Damme State Park is within two miles of the home - enter at the official Van Damme State Park Campground just over one-and-a-half miles away. Try a game of Redwoods Bingo! For guests seeking a different kind of green, Little River Golf Course offers nine holes of fun just one-and-a-half miles away.

Very comfortable house. Perfect for grown kids and our 2 grandchildren. It was nice to warm up in the hot tub after a day of the shops and enjoying the cool coastal weather!

Deep in the woods was a beautiful cabin…

We loved our time at this magical cabin in the Mendocino Redwoods… SO beautiful! We had everything we needed and our bed was comfy! The woods were spectacular! We enjoyed using the high quality kitchen and sitting in the lovely living area with the fireplace and tv. The furnishings were so beautiful! Mendocino was close by too. Would definitely return to this lovely place.

Comfy, atmospheric getaway

My family of 7 cannot speak more highly of our experience at this Little River home. We arrived to find it clean, tidy, and just as advertised. Being nestled in the Redwoods gave us all a sense of comfort, belonging, and a fair amount of wonder. Oh and we all loved looking for banana slugs! Our stay was truly memorable.

My adult daughters and I did a mother-daughter weekend (along with my toddler grandson!) at this absolutely lovely and very, very comfortable home. Everything about this place is special - the furnishings are charming, the architecture is spacious, and the little fairy garden is magical.

Great for couples traveling together

It’s hard to find houses that have three bedrooms with large beds for couples. This one is great for 3 couples traveling together. It also set among beautiful redwood trees.

Big, beautiful, restful house

The house is quite large, very well equipped and in a quiet and lovely redwood forest a short drive from the ocean, state parks and the charms of Mendocino village. We (especially the kids) enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after a day of hiking or playing on the beach. The house was well maintained and spotless, and the listing agent (Vacasa) was easy to reach by phone when we had a question. We're hoping we can return here again next year.

Beautiful, spacious and comfortable property in the woods

We stayed with two kids (11 and 17) and five adults. We found the cabin very spacious, and accommodating. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable, and there was a "place" for everyone. The inside is furnished gorgeous classic Mission-style furniture. While the location seems isolated it's really not, with just a short drive to the main road Shoreline Hwy . There's a convenience store located a quarter mile drive away, but for major shopping you'd probably have to go to Fort Bragg 20-25 minutes up the road. We really enjoyed our stay, and wished we could have spent more time there.

Mendocino cabin

Property just as described. Our family had a wonderful, relaxing vacation in Mendocino. Located close to town and surrounded by state parks and hiking trails. Would love to return in the future.

Great place to stay!

We had a very relaxing time here. Our family stayed here - 2 adults, 2 kids. Plenty of space, the house and property are both beautiful. We loved the redwoods out the front door! Good location, lots of hiking nearby. About 8-10 min drive to downtown Mendocino.

Fabulous Home In Little River Home

The four of us really, really enjoyed our stay at the Little River Redwoods home. We loved being surrounded by forest in a very, very quiet location that was only about a mile from the main highway into Mendocino. The home was so comfortable and very nicely appointed. The windows, the wood walls and ceilings and the skylights were just incredible to enjoy at all times. And the hot tub was fantastic. We also enjoyed sitting around the dining room table enjoying a great dinner and playing games. This is definitely a home that we will return to on our next visit to the Mendocino area providing that it is available.

Beautiful house in the redwoods

Gorgeous, spacious cabin. It was really clean and well stocked. Games and movies were available, and the kitchen had everything you could need. Hot tub was so relaxing at the end of the day. The location was close to Mendocino, beaches and Fort Bragg. WiFi was decent, very spotty cell reception unless we were actually in town so be prepared for that. All in all a fantastic stay!

Great Little Spot but issues with Hot Water

We loved staying in this cabin in the woods however the hot water only lasted for one day. Day 2 was a day filled with cold showers (4 people who were in and out in 3 min) and we didn't even attempt showers on day 3 because we couldn't get hot water out of the sinks. Checkin and Checkout was smooth and the wrap around deck was perfect for early mornings.

Beautiful trees and nice hot tub

This is a nice luxurious cabin to base out of to explore the Mendocino coast. We had a great time using the hot tub. The trees in the property are very big and old. Property manager was great and gave us an early check in as well.

Wonderful wooded retreat

It was really lovely, tucked into the redwoods and wood used throughout the interior as well. Very clean. Everything worked. Well-furnished. Would definitely stay there again if I am in the area.

Beautiful Craftsman Style Home in the Redwoods

This house was great for 6 adults and one toddler. It is surrounded by giant redwoods, yet Isn't as dark inside as it could be because of windows and skylights everywhere. The listing and pictures are accurate, But take note that there is only one (Large) shower in the central bathroom. The master bedroom upstairs has a toilet and sink, and the downstairs bedroom off the living room has a bathtub but no shower. The lower bedroom with extra futon uses the central bathroom with the shower. The electricity went out when we got there, a general power outage in the neighborhood, so we would have needed lamps and flashlights if we'd gotten there at night. There were battery powered candles but batteries had been used up in last power outage. There is an extra land line phone to use in an emergency but you can't call out anywhere not local. Our cell service went away as we turned onto Little Airport Rd so it would have been good to have the address written on a piece of paper. The fireplace was wonderful, but we wished we had a little newspaper to start the fire. House was cozy with central heating. Overall great rental! Things we had to go buy at the nearby gas station: Large basket coffee filters for coffee maker, flashlight, newspaper, paper towels.
