Get away to the coast for a pleasant vacation at this charming, modern home in Rockaway Beach. This house is perfect for a small family or a couple's retreat - take a quick walk to the beach to build sand castles, splash your feet in the surf, and enjoy a picnic on a nice day. For the adventurous, sea kayaking is always a thrilling experience. Fishing, clamming, and crabbing are all popular in this area if you want to catch your own seafood and have fun doing it, and all the equipment can be rented from the Jetty Fishery.



In downtown Rockaway, you'll find a number of dining options to choose from. The town boasts some quaint boutiques, including locally famous Flamingo Jim's. For more fun, the Tillamook Cheese Factory lies 12 miles south, where you can find tasty food, take a tour of the factory, and enjoy a grand selection of ice cream. For some sightseeing, you can drive the 34 miles north to Seaside, which also takes you to Cannon Beach, with beautiful vistas to see along the way.



The house has a tranquil atmosphere with polished wood floors and plenty of natural light. On the second floor, the main open room features a living, kitchen, and dining area. Comfortable furniture allows you to relax with a book or a board game from off the shelf. Or, you might turn on the television for some evening leisure after a long day. On the other side of the room, you'll find a spacious kitchen, featuring stainless steel appliances, ample counter space, and plenty of cabinet storage to help you prepare the perfect meal, plus a dishwasher for easy clean-up. The dining table is great for family meals and game nights with friends. Step outside to a large deck and relax at the patio table with some coffee and a book to enjoy a sunny morning as the kids frolic in the fully-enclosed yard. Speaking of kids, a wagon, stroller, and booster seat are available for this home's younger guests, so they'll never be left out.



Downstairs is a bonus room with comfy furniture and a large TV with streaming services and a DVD player, as well as a laundry room with a private washer/dryer and a shared full bath with a shower. WiFi is available for your convenience. Two bedrooms make for plenty of space and privacy for your group, and extra guests can sleep soundly on the sofa bed. This is a wonderful house in Rockaway and we had a fantastic stay. The house is lovely and so well stocked. The space is comfortable and the view from the large deck is nice. It is a short walk to the beach. We really appreciated the fenced in deck and yard as well.

The house was very clean, well stocked, and super cozy. The beds and rooms were comfortable with lots of bedding. The couches were comfortable, and the outside deck was very nice. The kitchen had just about everything one would need and then some. The only thing we could have used were some kitchen wash cloths. I appreciated that there were 2 bathrooms and 3 separate sleeping areas.

Loved the house, the yard not so much.

The house was very nice and comfortable. Great location as our friends live nearby. The yard was not kept up and the “fire pit” was small and rusty, we we’re disappointed because we brought firewood and planned to have a nice evening sitting around it. Not happy that the full price was not upfront with added “host fee” mentioned after I booked. It would have been comparable to other places in town so don’t know why they chose to do that. Always love visiting Rockaway !

Great location

I loved everything about this property aside from the showers. The lower level didn't warm up quickly and the upstairs bathtub would not plug. It is just as shown in pictures, friendly neighbors and so close to the beach.

Great location in a well remodeled home! Cute and comfy decor. Loved all the indirect lamp lighting. Overall super happy with our stay.

Our stay

My family had a great time. Loved the beach and the area. The master bedroom bed was horribly hard and miserable to sleep on our whole stay. Pillows could also be replaced to some that had life left in them. A sink stopper is also useful to do a few dishes by hand. Although we will likely return to the area we will not stay at this home again. Mom needs to be able to sleep on vacation.

What you see is what you get!

We had a great time in this cozy “Home away from home” Thankyou for letting us stay we would definitely stay again. Only thing that was slightly inconvenient is that the trash never did get picked up so I had to haul most of it away to other locations Again Thankyou for opening this home up in beautiful Rockaway Beach

Very nice, clean and spacious house with enough room for everyone. Good location. One minor issue were the pillows in the main bedroom - very flat and small, not much support.

Perfect Getaway at Rockaway!

My family arrived for a 3 night stay to celebrate my birthday! We were super excited to see the house was in walking distance to the beach. The interior to the home had been updated and furnished in a beachy theme. It was comfortable and cute, albeit possibly haunted. The downstairs had a vibe nobody could shake and our teenage son chose to sleep upstairs with the rest of us, instead of down there...where the Xbox is! We all heard sounds as well. Cupboards opening/closing and other unidentifiable sounds - at 3am and during the day. This even prompted a walk-around the home to “investigate” what it could be, with no explanation. We drove into Tillamook to shop at Safeway for our visit, and packed the fridge and cupboards with groceries. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare and enjoy our meals. Having two bathrooms is a must, especiallly with three boys, but I do wish the bathtub would have held water. We tried running a bath, but could not get the drain to stay closed. This home is located a short drive from Tillamook (cheese factory!) and one of the days we drove north (40ish miles) to hang out in Astoria and Cannon Beach. As for Rockaway Beach, the Twin Rocks are spectacular. Bonfires are allowed (follow some simple rules/common sense) and the seashells and pretty stones are abundant. We will be returning, as the location of this home is perfect for all the activities my family enjoys.

It was Okay but needs work.

The house was okay, just needs some changes if we would stay there again. Tv downstairs won’t hook up to cable. No lids for large/medium frying pans . Remote upstairs isn’t programmed to TV. Nightlight in upstairs has burned out light. Master bedroom bed is not comfortable. No screen on upstairs slider. Lights on outside all day. No casserole dish with lid. Mirrors in bathrooms are not high enough for a 6’ human. No bath fans. Stinky. Washing machine broken. One key for house. (I was partially reimbursed for this). Shower head downstairs to low for a 6’ human.

Good

Checkin was quick and easy. The place was nice and clean, kitchen was well stocked and it was very close to the beach. We stayed there for 4 nights. My kids decided to sleep downstairs. First night was great. The 2nd night around 130am my son ran upstairs all freaked out and stated there were bugs by the back door, bathroom and the first couple of steps of the stairs. I immediately went down and look and sure enough bugs were all over the place. They looked more like Rollie Pollie. Immediately i called homeaway and rep stated will gave owner call the next day. The next day around 11am, received a call from the owner stating she is in route to get some bug spray. I stated that she can come and spray while we will be out and wouldn’t be home until later in the evening. Once she was done she texted stating that it’s done and she left some extra spray just in case. Since the incident my kids didnt want to sleep down stairs and just slept upstairs. The 3rd night was fine. The final night we were woken by my kids screaming around 4am, they had bugs crawling across their faces. I uncovered the covers and did see a couple more, Instead of calling homeaway, we just packed up and left. When we got home I texted the owner to let her know what had happen and suggested that she should have it professionally sprayed cause it was not just the downstairs. She was nice enough to refund the cleaning deposit. That was nice of her but I wouldn’t trade the cleaning deposit for the experience we had.

Wonderful

The home is so comfortable. I made our thanksgiving dinner here and it went smoothly. I would occasionally look out the window and see a neighboring Fishing boat adorned in “tasteful cammo” and it felt like home. It has everything you need to enjoy comfortably and really makes a person be so grateful for the little things in life . It isn’t a Award winning Hotel right on the Beach , but it is a award winning home with warmth , inviting decoration , everything you need , quiet neighbor hood and if your a lover of the Simple yet wonderful things in life , then this is the place for you . We will be back and more importantly has made me really want such a home for my self at the beach . Happy Holidays to all

Great house - super clean

I was really impressed with this house. You can tell that the owner really took some time to update everything. The kitchen and bathrooms all have new appliances and features. The house was SUPER clean too, which was really nice. The location is only a couple blocks from the beach. The house is on a super quite street too. I would definitely rent this house again!
