POOL /SPA INFORMATION

The Pool/Spa has a child safety pool cover that should always be closed when not in use. The pool cover key that unlocks the (cover open/close) push button box is located next to the backyard entrance door. Once an adult opens the pool cover, it is the adults responsibility to supervise children playing in the pool. When the pool cover is closed, it keeps the pool warmer and cleaner.

Pool/Spa Operation Time: 9 AM to 9 PM to ensure the neighbors are not disturbed with loud noise after 9 PM.
If the guests would like to extend the usage time to 11 PM, please let the host know as there should be no noise.

PAID OPTION: HEATING FOR POOL OR SPA

The heating of the pool and spa is controlled by the host remotely due to risk of guests accidently causing a malfunction of the pool software system. The pool lights, spa lights, and spa jets can be controlled by the guest with the remote located in the spa.

To heat the pool or spa, the guest will need to notify the host in advance to give the pool or spa ample time to reach a desired temperature. Please note that residential pools DO NOT heat simultaneously due to the cost and time of heating the entire pool. Depending on the starting temperature of the pool/spa water, it will normally take about 1 hour for 1~2 degrees increase in water temperature. With the pool cover closed, it would help speed up the heating process. Typically, the pool/spa temperature will be around the mid-60 degree Fahrenheit levels depending the air temperature outside.

The desired temperature of the POOL will be between 80 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. To heat the entire size of our pool, it should take roughly 5 to 6 hours to reach the desired temperature as the overall water heats up faster as time passes.

The desired temperature of the SPA will between 95 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. To heat the spa, it only take roughly 30-40 minutes as the spa is much smaller in size than the pool.

PRICE OF HEATING POOL OR SPA:

As the price of heating the pool /spa using gas is quite expensive, we charge the following fees:

1. Spa Heated to desired temperature: The initial heating fee to desired temperature will be $20 USD for the 1st hour of use. Thereafter, we will charge an incremental $5 USD per hour of use. Depending on the duration of use, we will have the option to waive the fees for the guests.

2. Pool Heated to desired temperature: The initial heating for the entire pool to desired temperature will be $100 USD for the first hour of use. Thereafter, we will charge an incremental $5 USD per hour of use.

Why Your Pool and Spa Share One Heater …and Why You Can’t Heat Both at the Same Time?
Most residential swimming pools with an attached spa are built as a shared system: the pool and spa use the same pump, filter, and heater, and the water is directed by valves into either the pool or the spa.
Because of how this equipment is designed and plumbed, it is not possible on this type of system to fully heat both the pool and the spa at the same time.
Imagine the cost and time to heat the entire pool when you actually only want to heat the spa that requires only a smaller amount of hot water.
