❤ Cozy Log Cabin w/Stunning View! Waterfall, 3 Fireplaces, Arcade, Stocked! 🏞
A Mountain Retreat You’ll Think About Long After You Leave.
Some places are easy to enjoy. Others quietly stay with you. This lovingly maintained log cabin falls into the second category—where mornings are slower, evenings feel earned, and time in the mountains starts to feel the way it’s supposed to.
Picture waking to filtered sunlight and birdsong, stepping onto the private balcony off the primary suite with a hot cup of coffee, and realizing there’s nowhere you need to be. Later, after a full day outside, a crackling fire and a nightcap by one of three wood-burning fireplaces becomes the kind of moment that’s hard to replicate anywhere else.
Follow the property’s winding paths—down the Troll Trail or along Fairy Lane—to a dedicated outdoor gathering space with a large fire pit. Venture farther and you’ll find a nature trail leading to a hidden, 18-foot waterfall and a natural swimming area that feels like a discovery, not an attraction. It’s the kind of place guests often talk about quietly, knowing how rare it is.
Privacy That’s Hard to Find—and Easy to Appreciate.
Set on 4.5 acres and bordering National Forest Service land, the cabin offers a level of privacy that’s becoming harder to come by in the mountains. Trees, wildlife, hummingbirds, and clean mountain air surround the home, creating a sense of separation that guests tend to notice immediately—and miss once they leave.
Inside, the space has been thoughtfully updated and comfortably furnished, with three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Each sleeping area is designed for real rest, featuring luxury mattresses, high-thread-count linens, and Dohm sound conditioners. Many guests comment on how well they sleep here—and how quickly they settle in.
Meals tend to linger on the spacious verandah, where the teak dining table invites you to stay a little longer and listen to the sounds of nature. In winter, the fully enclosed porch becomes a favorite spot—cozy, quiet, and surrounded by forest views. The main living area is ideal for reading, puzzles, or unwinding with a movie after the day winds down.
Shared Moments—and Space to Do Your Own Thing.
The cabin balances togetherness and breathing room. Guests of all ages enjoy the brand-new, full-size four-player arcade with over 4,500 classic games, often turning “just one game” into an hour of laughter. There’s also a professional folding ping-pong table and a wide selection of board games that naturally bring people together in the evenings.
For those who like to keep moving, the garage gym includes a REP Fitness rack, dumbbells, resistance bands, and jump ropes—perfect for staying consistent without leaving the property.
Children especially love putting on plays using the mountain-carved theater seating or making s’mores by the fire. With 2,100 square feet of living space, everyone can find their own quiet nook while still feeling connected.
Perfectly Positioned for Exploring—or Not Leaving at All.
When you’re ready to venture out, you’re close to gem mining, waterfalls, and some of the region’s most highly rated hiking trails. Downtown Highlands, known for its excellent dining and charming shops, is just 11 miles away (about 20 minutes, or longer for those new to winding mountain roads), located along North Carolina’s Scenic Waterfall Byway—famous for the hundreds of waterfalls throughout the area. Downtown Franklin is only 13 minutes away.
And yet, many guests find themselves choosing to stay in, realizing the cabin itself has become the highlight.
