The Oaks Seaside Retreat
This beautiful oceanside 5 bedroom plus den is located in a private cove. You can lounge on gracious decks, enjoying a starry night or your morning coffee. We have the most amazing sunrises.
Its a short drive to one of the several beaches. and minutes to multi-use trails, watersports, SENSEA Nordic Spa, and Chester Village. The Seaside Shanty restaurant is just seconds away. We allow 10 guests and charge $100 each for up to 2 more.
Nova Scotia Tourist Accommodation - STR2425D6908
The 3 bedroom Main House built in 1898 has been beautifully upgraded. The 2 bedroom/den Carriage House, built recently, compliments the history of the property.
Each of the 5 Bedrooms plus den have luxurious bedding and individual style. Prive includes 10 guests with an extra charge for up to 2 more.
Preparing meals is easy with 3 kitchens and you can choose a different spot to dine for every meal. With our onsite garden you are welcome to pick your own fresh salad (in season). Rainy day, no problem The Oaks boasts many spots to curl up a great book, play cards in the lounge, watch a movie, play pool or soak in our new hot tub overlooking the ocean.
The Oaks is the perfect place for couples to get together, book club getaways, multi-generational family gatherings, or corporate retreats.
In the summer you can swim, sail or kayak in our privately owned cove. Hike or bike the TCT which cuts through our property for private access.
Come in off season for snowshoeing, sledding, roasting marshmallows in our outdoor fireplace.
All areas of the Main & Carriage House other than the basement and attic and garage. Access to the outdoor fireplace, hot tub and our gracious yard is all included.
While we don`t allow parties, we are open to discuss extra guests for retreats, dinners and set hour events. This must be approved by your host so please reach out first! We reserve the right to charge extra based on numbers, cleaning charges and other items.
We are available to greet guests on site or availble via phone, text, or email.
Chester is a village on the Chester Peninsula, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. The nearby waters of Mahone Bay and its numerous islands are well known for yachting and have made the Chester Yacht Club into a cruising destination. A provincial ferry from the village provides a schedule of daily trips to Big Tancook Island and Little Tancook Island.
The best way to get around the area is a vehicle. There is a Provincial Trail that runs behind the house and is great for biking or hiking.
No parties are allowed on our property. We reserve the right to rent to only those who have previously stayed at air bnb and have positive reviews. We prefer a minimum age of 25. If you are considering our place for corporate retreat, yoga retreat etc. please reach out to us and we will help guide you as how best we can facilitate your request.
We offer curated experiences and event planning but it must be authorized by us. Quiet hours after 10:00 pm through the week and midnight on weekends. No additional guests or visitors unless previously approved. No appliances of any kind can be brought into the house.
While we do allow pets, we do charge an additional cleaning fee of $100 and all pets need to be approved by the host. If your pet is approved, please pick up after them during your stay, leashed at all times outside and do not wash them inside (including the bathrooms). No cats are allowed the owner has a severe allergy to them.
