River House

River House has a private river front beach 15 minutes from Ukiah, in wine country. We have a hot tub, badminton court, and barbecue. The garden gets many compliments from guests. The river is gentle. We have 6 kayaks, and 1/4 mile to kayak in. You are surrounded by wildlife. Within a few miles of the house you can take a long swim in beautiful Blue Lake, or hike trails around Lake Mendocino.

We can host more than 8 guests if some are happy on the couch or on a foam mattress on the floor. This is a place for family vacations, not a wild party house.

The space
The main home has three bedrooms with queen beds. One bedroom has an additional fold out queen size couch ideal for children. There's a queen foam mattress you can place where you like and a comfortable couch in the living room.

Open floor plan, a piano, 2 Smart/Apple TVs, gorgeous gardens, a hot tub, piano, and a wood burning stove. We provided firewood. You'll find games, badminton equipment, a corn hole game and kayaks. We have plenty of books, toys, and art supplies. The property extends across the river, offering you real privacy.

You can opt to rent the detached building (once your host's architecture studio) which has one queen bed, a double foldout couch in an adjoining (not private) space, a shower, sink, toilet, mini fridge and microwave. This option is listed with Vrbo as River House with Studio. The studio will never be rented to another party during your stay.

Guest access
The River House is accessible by car. There is a large private gravel driveway with a locking gate. The nearest supermarket is 15 minutes away in Ukiah. There's a small store for necessities 5 minutes away in Potter Valley.

Other things to note
We have high speed internet access through our WIFI. We'll provide the password when you arrive. Phone reception is through this system.
