We are high school sweethearts who grew up on Kentucky Lake and built our lives around family, community, and the outdoors. Some of our favorite memories are water skiing at sunset, fishing with family, and teaching our children to ski when they were still preschoolers.

For many years, owning a lake home was just a dream. Later in life, we found Lakesong Getaway and began renovating it ourselves—a true labor of love filled with hard work, patience, and care. When the home three doors down (with a garden and greenhouse we had always admired) became available, we felt it was meant to be. We made the move to the lake full-time and decided to share our home with guests who value meaningful time together as much as we do.

I am a retired speech-language pathologist, and my husband is a retired industrial electrical project manager. We are hands-on hosts who care deeply about our guests’ experience. You’ll often see us enjoying the lake with our friendly boxer, Charlie. We love pickleball, hiking, traveling, gardening, and of course, lake life.

This neighborhood has always felt special to us. It’s peaceful, scenic, and surrounded by nature, yet conveniently close to Murray, marinas, and Land Between the Lakes. We love the quiet mornings, frequent wildlife sightings, and breathtaking sunsets that never get old.

What truly makes this area unique is the sense of community along the lake. Neighbors look out for one another, and there’s a shared appreciation for the slower pace and natural beauty. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and connected to the outdoors.

Lakesong Getaway offers a rare combination of privacy, space, and amenities on Kentucky Lake. Situated on two peaceful acres, the property features a private pool, full pickleball court, kayaks, bicycles, outdoor games, fire pit, and a private dock for up to four watercraft.
