We're a family that splits our time between the sunny hills of Texas and the California coast—but when we want a real change of pace, we head straight to Big Bear. We fell in love with Moonridge for its peaceful vibe, fresh air, and the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.

We chose Upper Moonridge because it truly feels like a hidden gem—peaceful, scenic, and tucked just far enough away to feel like a true escape, yet close enough to everything Big Bear has to offer.

Up here, the air is crisp, the stars shine brighter, and the pace of life slows down in the best possible way. We loved the idea of being surrounded by nature—with stunning trees, wildlife sightings, and those breathtaking views—while still having quick access to the lake, hiking trails, golf, and the village.

It’s the kind of place where mornings are spent sipping coffee on the deck, afternoons are for exploring or relaxing in the jacuzzi, and evenings end with games by the fire or gazing at the moon (appropriately enough, in Moonridge!).

Our spacious layout offers room for everyone, from the king bedrooms with smart TVs and mattress warmers, to the kid-favorite loft with bunks, Foosball, games, and its own hangout vibe. We’ve stocked the kitchen like we live there (because sometimes we do), and we’ve added extra touches—like a jacuzzi under the stars, plush bedding, fast Wi-Fi - for those creature comforts that elevate your stay.
