Built in the 19th century, this thatched cottage is situated on a 2,000-square-meter fenced-in lot on the outskirts of Gelting. From the approximately 40-square-meter covered terrace, you’ll enjoy an unobstructed view of nature across the large garden. In 2020, the house was completely renovated and lovingly furnished.

The property also includes a small thatched barn where you can safely store your bicycles. The center of Gelting, with its restaurants, shops, banks, pharmacy, and an electric car charging station, is within walking distance.



Gaarwang Thatched House:

The Gaarwang Thatched House offers approximately 120 square meters of living space.

From the open entryway of the house, with its historic terrazzo floor, you enter the living room, which features a cozy sitting area, a smart TV, and a spacious dining area. From here, you also have access to both of the house’s terraces and the open kitchen. Additionally, the first floor features a bedroom with a double bed (2x90x200) and an adjoining bathroom with a bathtub, walk-in shower, and toilet.

On the upper floor of the house, there is a cozy hallway with a reading nook and a children’s table, another spacious bedroom with a double bed (2x90x200) and a smart TV, a third bedroom with a pull-out bed (2x80x200), and a modern bathroom with a shower and toilet.

All bedrooms are equipped with wardrobes and plenty of hangers.

Upon request, we’ll be happy to provide a high chair and a crib.

From the covered terrace, which is approximately 40 square meters in size, you can enjoy a wonderful view across the spacious garden into the surrounding countryside. Here you’ll find a large table with 6 garden chairs, 5 lounge chairs with cushions, a beach umbrella, a grill, and some garden games.

The small, lockable thatched barn on the property houses the boiler room. Here you’ll find a washing machine, a clothes dryer, a vacuum cleaner, an ironing board and iron, as well as some cleaning supplies for your use. The barn also has plenty of space to store your bicycles safely and dry. Additionally, there is parking for two cars on the property.

We are happy to provide bed linens and towels for an additional fee.



Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to midnight, and check-out is from midnight to 11:00 AM.
