Cabin in Black Hawk w/ Hot Tub and Fire Pit!

We’re sorry that some aspects of the stay did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your feedback regarding the mattresses and pillows, paper products, and hot tub, and we’ll be sharing those comments with our property team as we continually look for ways to improve the guest experience. We also take your comments regarding communication very seriously. We agree that any planned entry or inspection should be clearly communicated to guests in advance, and we apologize if that did not happen during your stay. We are reviewing what occurred so we can better understand the situation and ensure our communication is handled appropriately going forward. Regarding an "exterior camera"... we do not have cameras on this property. We do have motion lights around the property to help keep everyone safe from dangerous wildlife encounters. We understand that privacy is especially important while on vacation, and we appreciate you sharing your concern. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the spacious decks, hot tub, and peaceful setting along the stream. We also appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. This is an older home with original construction dating back to the early 1900s, and at the time of your stay, some areas were undergoing work to bring portions of that original construction up to current requirements. While the work did not present a safety concern, we recognize that seeing unfinished areas inside the home could understandably be unsettling. More importantly, we agree that we should have communicated this to you prior to your arrival, and we apologize for that oversight. Since your stay, we’ve continued making improvements to the home, including new living room furniture, a new area rug, and repairs and finishing to the areas you mentioned. We appreciate your feedback as it has helped us identify opportunities to improve both the home and how we communicate with guests. Regarding the exterior motion lighting, those lights are intentionally in place as a safety measure due to the wildlife in the area. We understand that insects can occasionally trigger them, particularly at night, but we feel the added security and visibility they provide are important for our guests.
