To accommodate everyone, we have to get medium firm mattresses so they are not too soft, but not too firm. If we bought firm mattresses, then that would be horrible for people that like soft mattresses. This is why we went out and bought you a firm mattress topper to try and accommodate your preference.

As Premier Hosts for 5 listings for 20yrs, we work very hard to make sure guests enjoy their stay with us every time! But to be clear, we know we are not perfect. In this case, we can only guess people were trying to get a free stay or something. But, our many other 4 and 5-star reviews speak for themselves. We have 5 of the same cottages on the same property listed with VRBO for 20yrs and consistently get 4 and 5-star reviews, especially for cleanliness. We have used the same cleaning ladies for 20yrs and they are the best in the business. At $120-130/night, we are also one of the cheapest places to stay for what we offer and our location to the water and restaurants. The listings and reviews are very clear about the size of the cottage and the bathroom. That has never been something we tried to hide. Trying to misrepresent something like that would put us out of business. For 20yrs, we have never been accused of misrepresenting the size. In fact, most people put "exactly as advertised", or "very clean", or very comfortable" in their reviews. Plus, we actually received 4 and 5-star reviews on both sides of this reservation. We checked out each of these claims and none of them were valid. Unfortunately, in this digital age, reviews are just part of any business. All we ask is to look at all the reviews and hopefully you are able to see through the ones that are an unfair perception of what we offer. Please call us with any questions. Sarah, Thank you for your review! We looked at the bed and agree that it was very noisy. For that reason, we have replaced the mattress. In fact, we went ahead and replaced all the mattresses with new hybrid memory foam since they were all about due to be replaced per recommendations. Also, the deck lights run on a GFCI plug there on the deck to protect against any electrical issues. The GFCI was tripped and the lights are now working as expected. Trailer parking in the parking lot will all depend on how full we are on a given weekend, what vehicles guests bring, and how the guests park. But, there is usually always plenty of room along Broadway or 3rd street to park a trailer or boat. Thanks, Living On Island Time

Everything in the cottage is standard size. If you want more room, we suggest you rent the Fins & Feathers cottage. It is our larger cottage with more room. The smaller cottages are best for only 2 adults. We have 2 adults stay in them for months at a time in the winter without any complaints. Just personal preference I guess. Since this review we have purchased thick mattress toppers for all the beds.

Thank you very much for your review! Unfortunately, mattresses are something we will never be able to please everyone since everyone is different. The best we can do is us medium firm mattresses so they are in the middle of soft and firm. The mattresses we have are hybrid medium firm are has 4.5/5 stars out of 7000+ reviews on Amazon. If you are very particular about your mattress, we suggest you bring your own mattress topper that suits your personal preferences. In all the cottages, the main mattresses are only about a year old. As for the fishing pier, obviously everyone walks at different speeds. It is 1/10 mile from the cottages and can easily be walked to in a few minutes. No where on our listing does it state you can see the pier from the cottages. It clearly states it is the Fulton Town Fishing Pier a couple minutes from the cottages. We are sorry you felt it was closer. But, we are glad you were still able to enjoy your stay despite this and hope you will visit us again!

Thank you for your review! We have already replaced the door blind with a new one and fixed the sink that was draining slowly. Also, we already get monthly pest control and with all the rain lately, we have been having to get them retreated as bugs are trying to find shelter. The down side to being so close to the ocean are the bugs! But, we do our best to control them any way we can. Thanks again for staying with us!
