A quiet 2-bedroom in The Villages with a golf cart, a gas grill, and Lake Sumter Landing seven minutes down the road.

This open-plan two-bedroom is built for people who want room to spread out. The master has a queen bed, a walk-in closet and its own ensuite with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom is the one guests remember: a queen Murphy bed that folds away into a built-in wall unit, leaving a corner desk, a window seat and open shelving. Put the bed down and you sleep four. Fold it up and you have a real home office with natural light, which is why this house works as well for a month as it does for a weekend.

Each bedroom has its own bathroom, so nobody is sharing. Walk-in shower in the master, shower and bathtub in the second.

THE FLORIDA ROOM
This is the best room in the house. Glass on three sides, a tiled floor and a ceiling fan, and it is properly enclosed rather than screened, so it stays comfortable when the porches on other homes have gone too warm to sit in. Morning coffee, an afternoon book, cards at night.

OUTSIDE
A four-seater golf cart is included, and the cart paths run from the door. On the paver patio you will find a Char-Broil four-burner gas grill with utensils and a brush, ready to go.

GETTING AROUND
Lake Sumter Landing is 2.8 miles, about 7 minutes. Brownwood Paddock Square is 4.6 miles, about 11 minutes. Spanish Springs is 5.7 miles, about 15 minutes. Shops, restaurants, a cinema, live music most nights, and several executive and championship courses all sit inside that ring.

THE KITCHEN
Properly equipped, not token: full-size refrigerator, oven, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and the cooking basics actually stocked. Eat at the four-seater table or the high-top bar. There is a washer and dryer in the garage, so a long stay does not mean finding a laundromat.

YOUR VILLAGES LIFESTYLE ID
The pools, recreation centres, pickleball and executive golf all need a Villages ID. The Villages charges 50 dollars per request form, not per person, and one form covers up to two people. It is cash or check made out to The Villages, paid when you collect the cards. They do not take credit cards. We file the paperwork for you before you arrive, so you only have to pick the cards up.

Everyone else in your group uses free guest passes from any Regional Recreation Center. Guest passes cover the family and adult pools, pickleball, tennis and golf, but not the sports pools, and there is usually a small greens fee on the executive courses.
