Makani Sands # 305 es una casa adosada recientemente renovada y bellamente decorada de 3 dormitorios y 2 1/2 baños en el tercer y cuarto piso. Con dos lanais con increíbles vistas del océano y las islas vecinas de Molokai y Lanai, tendrá un asiento en primera fila para puestas de sol y observación de ballenas, así como un acceso rápido a nuestra playa.

Este condominio de alquiler en el oeste de Maui tiene una cama king en el dormitorio principal y una cama queen en el dormitorio de invitados, ambas en la planta superior, cada una con baño privado y lanai. El cuarto de abajo tiene dos camas individuales. Esta espaciosa unidad viene equipada con una cocina totalmente equipada, lavadora, secadora, 4 televisores por cable, 2 reproductores de DVD y equipo de música.

Exceptional Property

This property is one of the nicest clean and inviting place I have stayed. Check in was easy, location was great and the management was easy to work with. I would highly recommend this property to any travelers.

Graduation Getaway

This property is amazing! The unit had the most amazing view, was spacious, clean, and within walking distance to restaurants and the ocean. Being able to enjoy my morning coffee or an evening glass of wine overlooking the ocean was perfection! This unit was perfect for our group of 5 and could easily accommodate a few more guests. Parking was very convenient and having a washer and dryer were also very useful. One of my favorite things about this place was swimming with sea turtles in the evenings. We saw so many of them! We would definitely return here again!

Amazing Views

The best condo in the building! Walked into see the most amazing views. The condo was beautiful, clean and had everything we need to have a wonderful vacation.

Roaches in the kitchen, needs fumigation

We were so looking forward to this stay, especially after an 8 hour flight delay, but we arrived late at night to roaches in the kitchen. They ranged from large, to small, to tiny baby ones. We instantly knew there was a roach problem. I sent a video to the owner and didn’t receive a response until the next day after I re-initiated a conversation. Her first response was- “you can’t get a refund for bugs, it’s in the rental agreement”. I took her word and felt defeated that we’d have to risk bringing roaches home. She did offer to bring pest control in, which they said they did, but that didn’t make it better, they also offered another unit, but that one also had roaches. After pest control we continued seeing roaches on the counters, black splash, coming out from under the oven. It was disgusting and we chose not to really cook there and avoided the kitchen as much as we could. Mind you we did have Littles so there were times we washed everything with hot water and soap to use what we needed. It was an extreme dent to our trip. I wish I advocated more and fought for a refund and honestly just left after the first night because we weren’t comfortable. Coming home from our trip, we left all our baggage wrapped in bags and ended up washing all our clothes at a laundromat to prevent any roaches coming into our house. I wish they took necessary steps to fumigate the building before allowing guests to stay. We saved up for this vacay 5 years and find it unfair to host families.

Ideal location for our group

We had a total of 5 families of different sizes and age ranges vacationing together. We rented two units in this same building and it was the perfect spot for us! There was plenty of space inside the units to accommodate everyone. Plenty of seating inside and outside and you just can’t beat the views and how close the beach is. I also loved the neighborhood feel of this location versus being in a more resort-like setting. We had all of the same accommodations with a much more private feel.

Our stay at Makani Sands was wonderful! The unit was very nicely remodeled and decorated. Everything we needed was available. The view was AMAZING!!! Would absolutely stay here again!!!

Perfect for a family of 5

Overall, the location and condo worked perfectly for our family of five (all adults). Check-in was easy, plenty of parking, quiet area, rooms and bathrooms were clean, bbq grill was easy to use, checkout was easy and the condo was right off the beach. This rental is in a great location which isn’t too far from a grocery store, gas station and other restaurants. We would definitely book this same condo in the future.

We enjoyed visiting with those that live in the complex and those also enjoying their vacation. The evening blowing of the Chonch was an experience we enjoyed. The proximity to all of our adventures we took was a bonus. I would recommend staying here to anyone and would come back.

We enjoy the location, the friendly staff, and the nice comfortable rooms. This was our first time visiting in December/January. Saw lots of whales, turtles, and other marine life. The weather was awesome, no rain! Just sunshine and beautiful skies. We were truly sadden by the damage due to the fires in Lahaina and supported businesses as much as we could. Prayers go out to ALL people of Maui as they rebuild their lives and homes. Looking forward to our next vacation!

There is no management for this property.

There were stains on blankets and the shower in one of bathrooms did not work from the first day. We contacted to the host and management team of this property through emails, calls, and knocking their office but nothing was reachable. It was horrible experience since our group share only one shower room during the stays. We tried to contact VRBO and this property office to talk about it. There is no action except creating an issue ticket from VRBO.

Beautiful view, spacious and perfect for a family

This place has the best view of any of the places we stayed during our 2 week trip across the Hawaiian islands. The condo was spacious and fit our families needs perfectly. No air conditioning but plenty of fans and are fires like towels and beach equipment was a plus.

Perfect!

Perfect setup for our family and literally ON THE WATER! Pictures and listing details are true and accurate representation of property. My family of 6--my 15yo twins, my 25yo daughter and her husband, and my husband and me - had a perfect amount of space. Very clean and great layout. Loved the two lanais overlooking the water! Temps stayed about 80 degrees throughout our stay. Despite no AC, every room had a ceiling fan and with all the windows open there was an AMAZING cross-breeze throughout the whole unit both upstairs and down. I was never once uncomfortable temperature-wise. The motorized lanai shades were truly appreciated during the bright afternoon sun times, as well. Great location on the water with snorkeling just steps away. Pay close attention around sunset and you are sure to see turtles swimming close by! (They had just finished redoing the steps down to the water the day before we arrived, so access to the ocean was super easy. If you look up the daily tide report for low tide times...that's the best and easiest time to go in.) The community chairs, lounge, and BBQ area just above the ocean was a great place to relax, too. I noticed how everything was cleaned and hosed down each morning by grounds workers. Despite the seemingly small parking lot, we never had a problem finding a spot each evening when we returned from our days out. We are hoping to return to Hawaii/Maui in a year or so, and would definitely consider returning to Makani Sands.

Long awaited trip to Hawaii

Excellent property and location. The ability to get right in the ocean and swim with the turtles was absolutely awesome. The facility met all our needs and was nicely decorated. Our location allowed us easy access to tours, Lahaina, restaurants or just plain grilling out on the property was excellent.

Gorgeous view

A group of us (3 couples) stayed at the condo after a weeklong cruise around the Hawaiian islands, planning to unwind and just chill after a busy week. Great coffee shops to walk to, and a some great beaches close by. Being able to sit out on the lanai right on the ocean, was so soothing and relaxing! Not much of a breach right there, but we certainly went in the water daily! Condo had everything we needed in it! Comfy beds and couches too! Tammy was very pleasant to deal with :)

Amazing view with extreme comfort

This was our first time staying on the third floor in the 3 bedroom and we absolutely loved it. I love the view from there. The master is facing the ocean while the first and second floor rooms the master is in back towards pool. There is a patio on first floor outside of living room and second room has a small one facing the back. It makes a difference having your master face the ocean. The room we stayed at (305), is remodeled. Very nicely done. The newly remodeled hard scape is terrific, bbqs are new. Love all the torches at night in front of hotel. We will be back! Fabulous ocean-front condo in Maui (#305)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you’re looking for a beautiful condo on the shores of West Maui, this is the place. This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo has spectacular views of Molokai and Lanai off the two ocean-front lanais (one off the living room and one off the 4th floor master bedroom), not to mention daily sightings of whales & sea turtles. The condo itself is spacious, very clean, tastefully decorated and extremely well-appointed. You can swim & snorkel right out front, enjoy the heated pool out back or hit the nearby beaches of Ka’anapali. Great location away from the crowded resorts yet close to numerous restaurants and shops in Ka’anapali and Lahaina or further north in Kapalua. The owners clearly care about their guests; there was nothing more we could have asked for during our stay on this beautiful island. Aloha!

Great sunset view Ocean Front 3BR condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely stay at 305 Makani Sands. We had plenty of room for our four adults and one teenager. It is beautifully decorated and well equipped. The two balconies facing the ocean are outstanding for watching the waves, the sunset and listening to the ocean lull you to sleep at night. There is no A/C, but multiple fans are provided and the ocean breeze is constant. The condo has thoughtful details for travelers, such as an extension cord with multiple plugs and USB ports for charging on the nightstands and multiple hooks everywhere for towels and swimsuits. There's also beach equipment (cooler, boogie board, snorkel masks)in the front closet. The location is great, walkable to coffee, a public beach and a few shops. Easy driving distance to Front St in Lahaina or north to Kapalua. There is not much of a beach, at least in the winter with high tides,just a small strip of sand, but there are access stairs and beach restoration was underway while we were there. There was a big storm moving through during our stay, so we did not access the beach due to the high surf. Tammy is an extraordinary manager, clear instructions, easy check-in, super accommodating by letting us check-in early due to luggage logistical challenges! We appreciate you Tammy! We would love to return in the future!

Wonderful vacation condo

Condo #305 was exactly as described and was perfect for our family of 6. Very clean, lots of space, and a view that can’t be beat. Location is perfect as well. Walk to a few local stores and restaurants and quick drive to so many spots. We found it to be about as close to perfect as you can get.

Nice, clean, gorgeous sunset views

My husband, 3 teen daughters and I stayed here over July 4th. We had an amazing time and loved the condo. Very clean. The views of the beach and the sunset were unbeatable. We all really enjoyed snorkeling off the private beach, seeing lots of cool fish and the occasional turtle. Loved having a private beach and never having to worry about crowds. Short walk to the food truck park (tip: go early for dinner). Will definitely stay again.
