Nuestro pequeño pedazo de paraíso ha sido remodelado, ofreciéndole la comodidad de una cocina y un baño actualizados con una hermosa apariencia abierta. ¡También tenemos muebles nuevos, incluido un sofá cama que tiene un colchón de espuma viscoelástica de 6 pulgadas que es realmente cómodo para dormir!

Nuestro condominio se encuentra en una hermosa ubicación frente al mar / frente al mar, a poca distancia de tiendas, un mercado de agricultores, un mercado natural, la MEJOR cafetería y restaurantes. En el invierno y principios de la primavera se pueden ver las ballenas desde la comodidad del lanai, y las focas monje y las tortugas son siempre una delicia cuando hacen una visita durante todo el año. A solo 12 pasos del borde de la playa semiprivada, puedes flotar en el agua del océano, ver las delicias del esnórquel, el bodyboard o simplemente tomar el sol. Cuando nos encontramos por primera vez con este condominio, nos sorprendió la vista ... ¡y sabemos que tú también lo estarás!

Este condominio tiene un dormitorio separado con una cama king junto con un sofá cama en la sala de estar con capacidad para 2 personas adicionales. Hay ventiladores de techo, pero con las persianas abiertas en ambos extremos, la maravillosa brisa hawaiana fluye para mantenerlo muy cómodo por dentro.

Estamos a solo unos minutos de golf de clase mundial en Kapalua y Kaanapali, y Lahaina Town está a solo 8 km. Este es el condominio perfecto para familias y recién casados. ¡Sabemos que estará en el cielo en nuestro condominio en el paraíso!

The property was great and the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. The host was gracious enough to allow us a late checkout since our flight was in the evening. They had a nice Playmate cooler, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, umbrella, and many other items that were very useful.

This was a great condo. It had great access to the beach and the condo itself was well maintained. We stayed on three different islands during our trip and this was our best accommodation. There was always enough parking. It wasn't too loud but the bedroom window is right next to the elevator so you could hear other guests. It wasn't that disruptive and didn't change our minds about how nice the condo was. The shower was nice.

Perfect location!

What an amazing place to stay! With the ocean steps away from our patio, we saw turtles and whales spouting from far away. The sunsets were absolutely fantastic - so many pictures. The condo was perfect with all it's amenities making it feel like home. Waking up each morning and making coffee and sitting outside with the view was the highlight of the trip :)

Great getaway

We wanted a place right on the ocean so we could hear it and see it. This oceanfront did NOT disappoint. Nope, no beach, but it's winter in Maui and this time of year the ocean is strong and takes the sand with it. It didn't matter that there wasn't a beach here, we were still able to travel just down the road and there was beach for us to layout on and play in the water at. The condo gives way to an amazing view of two other islands and we saw many humpback whales (bring binoculars) and sea turtles from the lanai. Everyone was compliant with the quiet hours, so no noise complaints. The condo is located close to shopping, dining and the beach. Great sunsets. Matt was prompt in responding to any questions I had. Would highly recommend and stay here again.

The property was nice, and affordable for the location and time of year we stayed. The kitchen is very well outfitted and having laundry in the unit is great. There is no air conditioning but that's not a big deal, just opening the windows and patio door lets the ocean breeze in and everythings good. This is a first floor unit and the ocean waves are thirty feet from the patio, the constant sound of the ocean might not be for everyone but I loved it

Amazing oceanfront condo

We loved staying at Matt's place. It has amazing views. We saw whales and turtles swimming by. The neighbors are amazing. Matt is a great host and was always in touch throughout our stay. Would def. recommend his place. As other reviews mention, it might be little noisy if you are a light sleeper, but closing down all the windows reduces the outside noise a lot and would not bother you!

Condo very well equipped!

We loved this vacation spot. From coffee on the lanai each morning, margaritas in the afternoon, turtles by the sea wall, and a short walk to “the best cinnamon buns on Maui”, we had a great time. The condo was in a perfect location as we didn’t drive. A 20 minute walk got us to restaurants, grocery stores, and souvenir shopping. The condo had everything we needed.

Home Away From Home

The checking in process went smoothly. We arrived to Hawaiian music and an amazing view of the ocean from this ground level unit. We immediately felt relaxation. The location makes you feel like you are out of the hustle and bustle of the city, but also have access to grocery stores and food not too far away. Just down the street, we enjoyed Papa O'Hana's Cinnamon Rolls (get in line early!) and Dole Pineapple Whip at a local Mediterranean restaurant. There is also a large food truck park set up for local feast and fun. With that said, we enjoyed many a meals in and used the gas grills to grill steak at "home" and enjoyed eating dinner in the cool of the evening. The condominium units are mixed use between short term rentals to seasonal owners. This was a plus as we felt welcomed by the "locals" and they taught us customs like the conch shell sunset ceremony. We felt like we belonged there, hence "home away from home." In fact, we ended up adding 2 more days to our stay because we just weren't ready to go home! Matt contacted us a couple days in to check to see how we were doing. They were easy to get a hold of if needed. He was very accommodating and kind. Activities we enjoyed were the Road to Hana and Volcanic National Park (both about an hour drive to the start of the drives, we just planned for an all day event), to swimming in the ocean in front of the unit at low tide, even swimming with the sea turtles. A must stay! We are hoping to go back again soon!

Perfect spot!

The condo at Makani Sands was perfect - and you cannot beat the location! Having an unobstructed ocean view was amazing. We loved eating our meals outside on the patio every day. Highly recommend!

Awesome - we will be back!

Everything was as described or better! We used the beach chairs and umbrella every day. It is perfectly located and right on the water. We prefer to stay in a smaller complex rather than one of the bigger resorts and this was the best yet. 3 minutes to Nipili Market, 20 minutes to Honolua bay, 10 minutes or less to Nipili and Kapalua Beaches, the Gazebo, etc. Perfect!

Great stay

Location great and better than our first visit to Maui (on our first visit there we stayed at a condo in Maalea Bay which was wonderful but the Lahaina location here with this condo we enjoyed much more!) Close to harbor, food, coffee, market, excursions, awesome beaches! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful, relaxing stay!

Really enjoyed the location -- so fun to watch the whales from the lanai while eating my meals. While there's no traditional beach at the condo, the lounge chairs along the seawall were great for catching some sun. When I got too hot, I'd go down the stairs to get in the water (and snorkeled with a couple sea turtles right there). Trips to nearby beaches were easy, too, and I took advantage of the beach chairs, mats, and cooler that were in the condo. Condo itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. Had a few small issues (dishwasher and icemaker were both out of service during my trip; struggled a bit to line up the back slider to get it locked/unlocked), but the pros far outweighed the cons.

Awesome view, quiet but no beach

Good place to stay for few days. Quiet with awesome view especially at sunset. I put 3 stars for accuracy of online listing because I expected to have the beach in front of the property but this is not the case. There is an access to the ocean but no dry sand. Also be aware of the strong current and rocks. Pool is heated and good place to relax.

We both grew up in Washington and absolutely share a love of the beach. Watching sunsets over the water, floating in the water, soaking up the sun.... that's what we love in Hawaii. Our teenage kids are no different. We are so happy to share our paradise home... from our family to yours!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We knew we wanted a place where we would want to retire to eventually. The northwest coast of Maui is simply the most beautiful spot in the world for us. We then wanted something that was right on the ocean that was quiet with a true Hawaiian feel. When we came upon this condo we absolutely fell in love with it and the location... right on a beach, literally 12 steps off of the lanai. We have found paradise!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We love the fact that we have a beach directly in front of us that gives us all of the unique opportunities to snorkel and bodyboard right there. There is nothing like sitting on our lanai in the early morning, sipping on our coffee or tea, watching the sun rise behind us and cast a sunny glow on both Molokai and Lanai and lighting up the ocean directly in front of us. It's simply amazing!
