El "palazzo" fue construido alrededor de 1200. El apartamento ha sido completamente renovado hace 3 años, pero ha conservado su antiguo sabor y carácter. Tiene una sala de estar llena de luz con grandes sofás, mesa de comedor, una cocina amueblada con nevera, microondas, lavavajillas, lavadora, cafetera de filtro, prensa francesa y cafetera italiana. Hay 2 dormitorios con camas grandes y 2 baños completos (uno está unido al dormitorio y el otro justo en frente del segundo dormitorio), un pequeño balcón, aire acondicionado en cada habitación, calefacción central, conexión wi-fi gratuita. Está ubicado en el segundo piso pero hay un ascensor (que es muy inusual en Florencia). La decoración es una mezcla de piezas antiguas, étnicas y modernas; libros de arte. El piso y los techos son de madera con delicados colores pastel. Ropa de cama y toallas están amuebladas. También proporciono café, té, azúcar, etc.

Estás justo en el corazón del barrio de Santa Croce, a 5 minutos a pie de las principales atracciones turísticas. Hay una tienda de comestibles cerca y una calle llena de cafeterías y buenos restaurantes.

También es muy tranquilo. ¡Buenas noches, el sueño está asegurado!

The apartment was as described in VRBO - two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a very spacious living room / kitchen area. Everything was in close walking distance - historical sites, shops and restaurants. Arrival and departure was smooth. Marie gave us all of the necessary details to go right into the apartment with no waiting time and it was just as easy to check out.

Yes everything was wonderful. The host was very accommodating about our check in and out schedule. Very helpful notebook of suggested restaurants etc. clean and everything worked perfect fully. Will stay here again!

The apartment is beautifully located between the Piazza Signoria and Santa Croce, within easy walking distance of the usual sites. (Like all sensible older people, we took a cab up to San Miniato and walked back down and another to a nice restaurant. Otherwise, we walked.) The elevator is small but useful for bags and groceries. The light in the morning is lovely. The kitchen has what one needs to cook simple meals (and there's a Conad store for tourist basics very close by), and we did cook pasta-ands-sauce a couple of evenings. The bathrooms are a decent size; the bed was comfortable. Our host, Marie, met us when we arrived and went over the keys and elevator. All very smooth.

Wonderful home base in Florence. Great location to explore the city. The apartment had everything necessary for a comfortable and easy stay. Note the elevator is helpful but small. This isn’t a place to tote a ton of luggage but great if you’re traveling lightly.

Communicated with host great prior to arrival. When communicating prior to arrival I asked for address which she provided . Upon arrival address was incorrect and we had to wait 1 hour outside until resolved . While confirmation gas correct address no cell service where I was prevented me from confirming . Additionally shower door broken and not fixed while we were there

Peaceful Location

Nice location and suited our family well. Easy access to many of the locations we wanted to see during our short visit.Beds were very comfortable and communication with the host (Marie) was fantastic! Thank you!

Beautiful Florence home!

Pros: - Very quiet - Beautiful rooms and bathrooms - Love the showers - AC is fantastic and works great - Close to all the major sights - Elevator - Marie was so helpful and fantastic Cons: - gnats in the kitchen (brought it up to the owner and she was helpful in trying to remedy it) - Check in was incorrect on VRBO. Message Marie before your visit. The instructions were missing a part.

Charming flat, great location and lovely host.

I can’t say enough great things about this location and apartment. It is quiet and easy access to everything. I was in Florence a week before and stayed in the Savoy Hotel ( room was very small), and it was noisy at times. This apartment was so clean and spacious and very quiet. Close to grocery store, and steps away from cafes. Anytime I had a question Marie was very quick to respond. We will definitely stay here again. AC was good, in all areas of the home.

Great Location

Enjoyed staying here. Very clean, quiet, and plenty of space. Central location to the historic sites. It was a bit of a walk from the train station but we managed. Would stay here again. If you reserve the property make sure you review how to get into the apartment with the host before arriving. It’s a rather involved process.

Charming Tuscany

The apartment was spacious and had a charming Tuscan flair. The kitchen was well equipped and a good size as,was the seating area. It was situated on a quiet residental street away from the rush of people and traffic, but easily within walking distance to all the historic sights. I would definitely stay there again if in Florence

Very assessable to city center historic sites. walk to Florence

Everything very close by, we used the hop on hop off bus to get around and to go up to the beautiful city of Fiesole and had lunch. The next day we had our own walking tour that we made up and we had a wonderful day. We also found very nice places to eat. We loved Florence!

Five star perfection in Firenze

This property was fabulous. The location was absolutely perfect, 5 minute walk to the Piazza Della Signoria, 10 minutes to the Duomo. The kitchen was beautifully done with beautiful tile and plentiful glasses, espresso machine, etc. The layout was perfect for 2 couples traveling together. It was 90 degrees F during our stay but the shutters kept out the heat nicely, plus the AC worked wonderfully when we needed a bit more. The coffee shop on the corner was lovely, an operational wine window around the corner and a lovely gelateria just a few paces away. The host was lovely and communication was great. Thank you, we will absolutely be back!

Perfect place and location

Our family of 4 loved this place. More than enough room for all of us . Tons of character and all of the amenities worked without one issue. A 2 minute walk to an amazing coffee shop with pastries. 10 minutes to the main square with tons of restaurants to choose from for a drink or longer stays. Our trip was somewhat busy but wish we stayed there longer. 2 thumbs up x 4 from us all! Loved it!!

Fantastic apartment!

This was a great apartment while in Florence for our family of three! It is centrally located but on a quiet street which was appreciated after visiting Rome. The elevator was also a huge help with luggage. The apartment was very clean and cozy and after a long day, wonderful to call home! Also, she had some shower essentials & lotion that smelled spa like :) unexpected & appreciated. She offered to call a taxi when departing if given enough time, I wish we had. For some reason even with using the taxi app they advertise in Florence, it was not reliable. If available, book this apartment, you won’t regret it!

Fantastic location and lovely apartment!

Fantastic location and perfect apartment for two couples. Our host communicated excellent instructions on how to check in and provided an extensive list of places and restaurants to visit. The kitchen was well equipped; we had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. The reception room was welcoming and cozy. We enjoyed just hanging out in the evenings while drinking a nice bottle of Italian wine. We met people on a food tour who were envious of our location as they had stayed close to this apartment the year before and were unable to find a place in this neighborhood for their visit this year. Book early – this is a great little gem.

A true “Oasis”

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Florence. The apt was everything we hoped it would be. Very comfortable place to come home to after long days of sightseeing. Marie was a great host. Very friendly and helpful. We would come back again!

I'm French and I have been living in Florence for a very long time (almost 30 years). I travel a lot both for my work and my vacations. I've tried to create a space that I'd myself like to find when I am away from home.I want it very clean because I always walk bare feet, i want it with all the comfort because I don't like washing the dishes, I want it quiet because I am on vacation, I want it nice because my home is nice! I speak French, english, italian and learning spanish because my eldest son leaves in Colombia. I couldn't leave without my yoga and my main interest are the oriental philosophies which have taught me a lot.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The apartment is in the heart of the historical center, walking distance from everything:museums, shops etc..It is in a old palace built in 1200 but the apartment has completely renovated in June 2013 .There are 2 bedrooms with big beds, 2 attached bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living room overlooking a garden.
it's in the medieval part of the city,so quiet that you cannot think you are 5 minutes away only from the pulsing heart of the city.

Until June 15, after each stay, the apartment will be cleaned with special detergents for a complete and accurate disinfection. The cleaning will be certified by a company specialized for COVID-19.
After June 15, if the situation comes back to normal, the same disinfection will be done in any case every 2 months.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I have tried to make the house special, to give it some character, hoping that you'll remember it as a nice place where you've stayed when you were in Florence. There is all comfort: a lift (very rare in the old florentine buildings), wi-fi, TV ,stereo for i pod, A.C and the kitchen has washing machine, fridge, dish washer. You'll find art books from the main museums and I give you all my favourite places in order you can live as locals, avoiding tourist places. For the deco, I have mixed old pieces with new ones, photos from my travels and colors are soft and pastel in order they can meet everybody's taste. On the very small balcony, there are plants...I hope you will enjoy the house!
If you like it, I can help you in the organization of your stay. If you want to do yoga, or have italian cooking class, or organize private tours in the Chianti aerea, or go to a jewelry workshop to learn how to create your own jewels or go for truffle hunting .....just ask me, I will be happy to help you.

The Santa Croce area is very florentine but very touristic at the same time. In some streets you'll find thousand of tourists but then, just across the corner, you'll find the main food market where all locals go. you walk 10 min and you are in a different area with another character...
This area is very convenient because you can walk everywhere and it gives you the opportunity to really feel the flavor of the city.

There are all public transports very near.
