The old customs house Zwieslerwaldhaus Bickels vacation apartments

Our apartment, Pepe (named after our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather), is one of our most spacious vacation rentals at approximately 80 square meters and is located on the upper floor of the Old Customs House. The apartment, which has been awarded four stars by the German Tourism Association, features two bedrooms (one with a modern box-spring bed and one with twin beds that can be converted into a large sleeping area for three people), a large living room with an open fireplace, and a cozy sofa that can be converted into a double bed. The large living/dining kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee maker, and Tassimo. In the bathroom, which features a shower and a separate makeup mirror, you’ll find soft hand and bath towels. The apartment is separated from the “Silberberg” vacation rental by a double door. If you need more space, this apartment can be booked in addition, providing room for up to 7 people in total.<br>The picturesque village of Zwieselerwaldhaus lies at the foot of the Falkenstein. One of the most beautiful houses here is the Alte Zollhaus, built in 1926 from natural stone, brick, and wood. It is situated at the edge of this tranquil village in a completely secluded location, right next to the Hochwald forest, in the heart of the Bavarian Forest National Park.<br>A total of 5 very cozy vacation apartments are available to our guests, which we, the Bickel family, run with a focus on family-friendliness (the Arber and Pepe apartments are rated **** by the German Tourism Association). <br><br>By the way: The entire house can also be rented by groups (prices upon request) and accommodates up to 18 guests.<br>Equipped with every comfort, our Arber, Pepe, and Siebenschläfer apartments feature high-end amenities and, above all, plenty of space to unwind and relax. The on-site sauna invites you to unwind after skiing (cross-country trails start right at the front door; alpine skiing at Großer Arber is 10 km away) or after hiking. For cyclists, there are plenty of covered and secure parking spaces available for mountain bikes. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. You can spend your evenings together in our “old workshop.” A large garden with space for playing and barbecuing is, of course, available to our guests. Some apartments have covered outdoor seating areas. Deck chairs with cushions are, of course, also provided. Our small scented garden with local herbs and magnificent roses invites you to daydream and linger. Fruit trees and berry bushes are scattered throughout the garden, and our guests are, of course, welcome to snack on the fruit.<br>And to stay connected to the world, free Wi-Fi is available. Modern flat-screen TVs with satellite reception, a radio, and a DVD player round out the amenities in the spacious apartments. We’ve put together a small library and an extensive collection of games for everyone to enjoy. Since December, our house has been powered by climate-neutral energy. A modern pellet heating system with solar support and green electricity make this possible.
