We're so glad to hear that you found our oceanfront octagon house to be the perfect base for your Oregon coast adventure, Darlene! The proximity to Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park really does make it easy to explore the beauty of the area. We love that you enjoyed those peaceful moments with your morning coffee and evening sunsets—there's nothing quite like the views from the wraparound deck. Great views of the beach with easy access. We had a great long weekend enjoying the beach and sunset from the deck. We even saw a few whales! House was a little older and basement could use some updates, but it all worked fine. The stairs were a little steep for our toddler, but the house provided a baby gate to keep him safe. I would stay here again.

We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the stunning beach views and had a great long weekend, Sean! Watching whales from the deck sounds like such a special experience. We appreciate your feedback about the house's age and the basement updates; we always strive to provide a comfortable stay for our guests. It's great to know the baby gate helped keep your toddler safe on those steep stairs. We would love to welcome you back for another memorable stay by the ocean!

Well stocked and nice views. Lots of seating upstairs. Cypher door entry is through a bedroom downstairs and the central stairs are a circular staircase. For our group, one person chose to enter the house from the deck door (using outside stairs) once one of us went upstairs and unlocked it. No problem, just an option if someone feels uncomfortable with a circular staircase. Short walk to the beach and short walk to the promenade from the cottage.

We’re so glad you enjoyed the views and found the home well stocked, Janet. It sounds like you made the most of the seating upstairs, which is perfect for gathering together. We appreciate you sharing the tip about the deck door; it’s great to know that your group found a comfortable way to navigate the space. The short walk to the beach and promenade really does make it easy to enjoy everything Seaside has to offer. We hope to welcome you back for another stay soon!

a nice, well-appointed house in a great location. i would have given higher marks except for the complicated and frustrating registration/check-in process. the host--i.e., the management company running the show--asks guests to fill out an online form and verify identification even after full payment. the latter involves providing photos of the renter's driver's license or passport and a selfie. okay, but then the online system they've set up for this doesn't actually work. we had a lot of back and forth emails about this and they admitted that most of their clients were having this same problem. the situation continued over the course of a month and was only resolved when they finally told me i didn't need to send the photos... just the day before check-in. by this time i had guests arriving from four cities on two continents and was starting to stress out. to their credit, they typically responded quickly and pleasantly to my queries, but they really do need to improve their process.
