The heart of this property is the great room, a wonderfully open space with cathedral ceilings, exposed wood paneling, and a wood-burning fireplace made of stone. You'll have granite countertops, a six-burner gas range, and double ovens to assist you, as well as a dishwasher to take care of the clean-up. Guest Access:

From the kitchen to the deck, everything in this home is at your disposal. The private hot tub is available around the clock -- no reservation needed. This home welcomes up to 2 dogs -- the yard and nearby trails are ready for your pup. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.



The Neighborhood:

Pick up some fresh local produce at the Surf Market in Gualala, and prepare homemade meals in the open gourmet kitchen. Sip your morning coffee on the lovely ocean view deck, in the private verdant garden, or as you stroll down to Shell Beach to watch the playful harbor seals. Swimming pools and tennis courts are also available at the Sea Ranch Del Mar, Ohlson, and Moonraker Recreation Centers. Take a scenic walk along the Bluff Trail to reach Gualala Point Regional Park three miles north, or head five miles south to visit the Sea Ranch Lodge.



Getting Around:

This dog-friendly home is ideally located within steps of the Shell Beach Trail on the ocean side of California Highway 1, allowing guests easy access to Shell Beach, tide pools, and the picnic and play areas at One-Eyed Jack Park. You'll also be only 23 miles from the gorgeous Point Arena Lighthouse and Museum, and 54 miles from the artists' colony of Mendocino - both of which are accessed by a particularly stunning stretch of Highway 1. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area.



Other Things to Note:

Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.



Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.



Whale watching season runs from December through April -- grab the binoculars and watch for gray whale spouts from your window. Spring (April-June) brings a wildflower show across the coastal meadows -- lupine, poppies, and iris paint the landscape. Summer (June-September) brings the warmest days and longest light. Morning fog is common along the coast -- it usually burns off by midday.



Up to 2 dogs are welcome. Please keep dogs on leash on trails and clean up after them.



Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.
