There's direct lake access from the backyard, making it easy to paddleboard (with life jackets provided), swim in the warm shallow water, or fish for bass, perch, and sunfish. The lake's two sandy beaches are an easy walk, offering a wonderful place to escape the summer crowds. This spot just over the Bourne bridge also makes a scenic and convenient home base for all things Cape Cod. You need only drive a few miles to find beloved beaches, charming villages, local restaurants, miniature golf, ice cream shops, and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. No matter how you spend your days, you can cap each one by rinsing off in the outdoor shower, sharing a sunset meal on the back deck, and swapping stories around the firepit as night moves in. The cooler months are every bit as enjoyable, with games, books, puzzles, and a TV (with a Blu-ray player and streaming capability) on hand to accompany views of migratory birds traveling past the lake.
