"Abendsonne" Vacation Rental, 43 m², terrace and balcony, pool and hot tub

Enjoy a relaxing vacation in a quiet, sunny, and central location (3 km from the A8, Neukirchen exit), in the Chiemgau region between Salzburg and Lake Chiemsee, with unobstructed views of the mountains from the balcony, terrace, or hot tub (available starting April '25; usable year-round at 30–40 degrees; can be booked on-site, along with an additional linen package including 2 bathrobes and 2 towels) and a pool with a retractable canopy (water temperature approx. 20–30 degrees, available from May through October) in the beautifully landscaped garden. Our cozy vacation rental, “Abendsonne,” is located on the first floor of our country house on the Wirtshof, a property with a rustic farmhouse charm. The estate has existed since 1827 and was long operated as an inn alongside the farm. Our idyllic village of Knappenfeld, on the outskirts of Siegsdorf, lies on a ridge (700 meters above sea level), nestled within the Pechschnait high moorland area, offering unobstructed views of a stunning mountain panorama, surrounded by magnificent nature, with plenty of opportunities for horseback riding, biking, and hiking. Great e-bike region (charging stations available). Enjoy the beautiful surroundings, with wonderful forest and meadow trails and refreshing streams. Afterward, relax by the property’s covered pool or hot tub and wind down the day comfortably by candlelight on the covered terrace or at the grill and campfire area with its macramé swings. The pool/garden house features, among other things, a refrigerator stocked with all kinds of beverages (beer, shandy, cocktails, water, soda, etc.; glasses/mugs and a beverage list are available in the pool house). Infrared sauna in the neighboring house (additional charge per session; bookable on-site), parking, and bike garage at the house.<br> Our “Abendsonne” vacation rental, lovingly furnished in a rustic farmhouse style, is located on the 1st floor of our country house. It features a west-facing balcony with a view of the mountains, connected by an outdoor staircase leading to the covered terrace and the garden with a hot tub and pool; this is also the entrance to the separately keyed attic apartment (43 square meters). It features a bedroom with rustic murals (16 sqm), a rustic wardrobe, dresser, and mirror; a double bed (200x200) and a single bed (190x90); and a coat rack—ideal for families with 1 to 2 children (somewhat suitable for babies and toddlers) or couples. A vanity table with a cosmetic mirror, as well as towels, cotton pads, and cotton swabs, is also provided for your use. The living area features a dining area, a sleeper sofa, TV/Netflix, and a stereo system (Bluetooth, CD, DAB+/free Wi-Fi); it also includes a well-equipped kitchen featuring, among other things, a microwave, coffee maker, and dishwasher, a blender, an egg cooker, and kettle, toaster, 2-person raclette set, spices, tea, coffee & filter paper, salt, sugar, etc. The bathroom features a shower, a sink, and a mirror cabinet (side view), soap in a dispenser, a hair dryer, a separate toilet with a storage closet, and a coat rack for wet shoes, etc. (Bedding, hand towels, dish towels, cleaning supplies, parchment paper, plastic wrap, etc., included. (An additional linen package with 2 hand towels and 2 bathrobes is available for an extra charge) <br> Our apartment is very centrally located (3 km from the A8, Neukirchen exit) between Lake Chiemsee (18 km) and Salzburg (30 km), we’re on the edge of the Chiemgau region, next to the Rupertiwinkel and the Berchtesgadener Land with Lake Königsee (45 km), Reit im Winkel (39 km), etc.<br> The surrounding area has a lot to offer, from the mountains with numerous hiking trails, mountain railways, alpine pastures, and lakes set in breathtaking natural scenery, to the fairy-tale and amusement parks in Ruhpolding (15 km) and Marquartstein, as well as a summer toboggan run, ski slopes, the biathlon center (20 km), and the Holzknecht Museum in Ruhpolding. There are many water parks and indoor pools/spas in Siegsdorf, Traunstein, Ruhpolding, Inzell, Bad Reichenhall, and Prien am Chiemsee (35 km), as well as a high-rope course, etc. In Siegsdorf, there’s a fantastic natural history/mammoth museum, and many more brochures for activities are available for you in our vacation rental
