I stayed at the Blue Harbor home for a week in late September. The weather was a bit chippy, but that’s Chatham for you. The residence is easily entered through a gate on the main level. You come into a spacious, open and sunlit room that looks out over White Pond. There is no t.v. or clock in the main room - a nice touch for a vacation stay (there is a t.v. in every bedroom, though). The long galley kitchen was more than adequate. The coffeemaker on the counter uses Keurig-type single pods. The outside elevated deck, the patios and gardens are beautiful – an incredible amount of bougainvilleas. There’s a grill on the deck. A special feature is that all three bedrooms are separated from one another, and each has its own bathroom with shower. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and then a very large bedroom on the lower level that has its own seating and large t.v. It is accessed by fairly steep stairs and might be better for younger people (okay, younger than 68). Every room is nice and comfortable, so several couples could stay together and have a wonderful time. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The bicycle trail passes by the residence, and Sylvan Gardens is close by. Mostly, though, you’ll just see folks walking their dogs or doing their daily run, or both. Bring a bike, if you can.
