Watch for honu in the surf below, scan the horizon for winter whales, and take your sunset dinner out to the balcony with Bali Hai in view. Perched on the Pali Ke Kua bluff, this oceanfront two-bedroom condo with a loft sleeps six and gives a family or friends a memorable front-row North Shore setting. The primary has a king bed, the guest room has a queen, and the loft adds two twins, with two baths and an in-home washer and dryer to keep the group comfortable. Recent improvements include granite and marble bath finishes, while the full kitchen makes breakfast and beach snacks easy. The shared pool and hot tub are nearby, and the community path heads toward Hideaways Beach. Princeville Center is close for provisions, with Hanalei Bay down the hill for a longer outing. Come for a family trip or friends' getaway when the view is meant to be part of every day. Air conditioning is provided.



The Space:

Recent improvements bring a fresh feel to this oceanfront home, with a king primary bedroom, queen guest room, and a loft with two twin beds. Two baths feature granite and marble finishes, and the fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher. The living spaces open toward the balcony and its Bali Hai view, while an in-home washer and dryer makes a six-guest stay much easier.

Guests at Pali Ke Kua in Princeville enjoy access to a shared pool and hot tub, with beach access nearby. The bluff setting offers a memorable place to enjoy Kauai's North Shore.



The Neighborhood:

Pali Ke Kua occupies a dramatic Princeville bluff above the Pacific, facing Hanalei Bay and Mount Makana, or Bali Hai. Follow the community path toward Hideaways Beach when a tucked-away swim or snorkel sounds right. Princeville Center is convenient for groceries, coffee, and casual dining. Hanalei town is a scenic drive down the hill for its broad beach and small-town restaurants. Back at the bluff, sunset watching is not an activity you need to schedule.



Getting Around:

Lihue Airport is about 40 minutes away via a scenic drive along Kauai's coast. A rental car is highly recommended since the North Shore's beaches, restaurants, and Hanalei's shops are spread out. Princeville itself offers walkable access to some shops and dining, while beaches like Hanalei Bay are a short drive. Parking is typically available in lots or driveways at most properties.

Great stay, loved the view!!! One small fan wasn’t working when we got there so we sent a text to the management team and by the time we left and got back a new fan was at the front door for us! Excellent service and the place was exactly as advertised.

The place is exactly the way it’s pictured on the listing which was a wonderful surprise. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The kitchen is fully stocked for all of a family’s needs. Very close to a couple of beautiful beaches…love the fact that there was a washer/dryer combo unit and a AC in the two bedrooms.Everything you need for an amazing stay!!!

Communication with host was prompt and easy. Location of the condo was excellent and everything was very clean. Being able to look out the window and see the ocean so close and being able to walk down to the beach in a few minutes was amazing.

Stunning view. Perfect for two couples and a few kids. The climb down to Hideaways beach was difficult backpacking the baby but worth it! Wow the snorkeling. We made breakfast every day and headed out to some 4 hour hikes on the non beach days. The place was clean and well supplied. We ended up adding another night because it was available. I would stay there again on next trip.

Great Condo

The condo is in a perfect location and was perfect for our stay.  The view is spectacular, and beach access is down a path just outside the condo.  I would stay here again.  Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

We really enjoyed this unit. The view from the balcony is spectacular. We really liked the extra loft area with the twin beds for the kids so the living area wasn't taken over by teens sleeping their vacation away. There is a paved, steep path down to the beach/coast right near the unit, however the beach isn't really usable in that area as it's quite rocky. Best to drive to other beaches, but still makes for a nice morning walk! The pool and hot tub were nice amenities, just a short walk from the unit. Was great to have the full kitchen, albeit a little tight quarters. Also great to have 2 full bathrooms and laundry in the unit.

Island hopping

Beautiful location. Sunsets were incredible. Very quiet and relaxing. Plenty of places to walk within the resort. We did a lot of driving to other places but it was nice to come back here.

Perfect view!

We loved our pathway down from our condo. It was pretty steep but fun to walk down through the trees. Our view was amazing. The grounds were quiet and very well maintained! We will definitely be back!

Perfect location and view

The condo was lovely and had a great view. Proximity to the hideaway beach was a great plus also. Only complaint would be the house didn't have salt and pepper....I mean that's barely a complaint :)

Great place

Great location and views but it needed to be cleaned up a bit more. There were dead bugs on walls and floors. Dust on floors and curtains are dirty other than that we had a great time and couldn’t ask for a better neighborhood and views

We had an incredible stay at this property in Princeville. It was the perfect size for our family, offering a comfortable and spacious layout that met all our needs. Amazing View

Very nice condo and a great location. Good pool and a short (albeit steep) walk to the beach. Was a little disappointed to not have more beach gear and beach towels. But, it certainly didn't affect the experience. Also, mahalo for finding a quick replacement for the W/D prior to our stay!

Thank you for your review and we were happy that we were able to replace the broken appliance so quickly. As for the beach amenities, it's something that individual owners supply, much was removed when COVID happened, we removed this items due to sanitation concerns.

Check-in instructions were incomplete. Left off code for key lock requiring a call to management office. Very inconvenient after a long day of travel.

Outdated Property

I stay at VRBO’s all the time. This property was very outdated. Hard to use the keys to get into the home, light bulbs out in bathroom, furniture stained. Obviously the property has a lot of traffic. The view was the best thing about the house. With so much to choose from we will not return to this property. I would encourage the owners to clean it up.

Comfortable condo with a million dollar view

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. Had a few issues with a broken bed which was fixed and no pool access / no pool key which was not resolved. The condo itself is wonderful, very comfortable and has million dollar views. We were able to whale watch from the deck. The beds were comfortable and the amenities perfect, except for the lack of pool access. Hideaways beach, a strenuous hike down a paved path, is secluded and small but definitely not for swimming in the winter months. Anini beach, a quick drive away, is the best swimming beach on the north shore. Hanalei, also a short drive away is a beautiful town and beach. Kauai truly is the garden isle and loved every minute of our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.

Great unit, awesome views, but fix broken items

This unit has incredible ocean and sunset views!!! Also located very close to the paved path down to the beach for some great snorkeling (lots of fish and turtles). Overall a very clean and nice unit, comfortable sofa and chairs, large and well appointed bathrooms, and air conditioning in the master and guest bedrooms which was very much appreciated. Minor drawbacks were the main overhead fan did not work and the left side of the toaster only toasted on one side of the bread. Also one power socket did not work (in breakfast nook area). All relatively minor issues (although not having the main fan available had us taking out the portable fans to get some air moving in the unit). The view though from the lanai is the highlight of this unit!

The View is Everything!

The pictures online are accurate. I enjoyed sitting on the deck every morning and evening with a beverage (and bug spray on my body!). The two bedrooms have cold AC, but the rest of the condo gets very warm late afternoon/evening. The trade winds do NOT blow into the condo on the view side, where the big screens are. The temperature by the front door was nice and cool with the breeze, but I could not risk leaving the door open due to a mosquito allergy. So fair warning, if the view is more important, then choose this place... if the cooler air is more important, choose a place that faces the other side of Princeville, looking toward Kapaa. The property came well stocked with dishwasher soap, hand soap, and bath products. The most pleasant surprise was that we found 4 beach chairs and an umbrella in the closet! I bought snorkel gear and left it for the next guest to use. There were welcome snacks on the table and a notebook with directions how to use the TV, as well as island tips and information. Vacasa seems to have this down to a tee! Only complaints were some holes in two of the screens, some dead bugs that the cleaning crew did not wipe up, and the temperature of the loft and living room in the late afternoon. Nothing that would prevent me from staying there again. However, the price was REALLY high, so I sort of expected perfection in the condo. Also, if you have not been to Princeville before, please note, the beaches all require steep hills to access, unless you drive to Hanalei. The ONE hotel offers paved steps to access their public beach. The other nearby beaches are down dirt paths and are beautiful. You just need to be fit enough to handle the hike. We did not opt to bring chairs down to those beaches, but took them to Hanalei bay in the car one day. We only brought towels and a backpack to the closer beaches for ease of hiking.
