Pohaku Park is a short walk from this part of Kahana, giving you an easy local option for soft sand, a picnic, and time by the water. Kahana itself sits between Kapalua and Ka'anapali, so it is simple to explore in either direction. Go north for coastal trails, golf, and calmer bays, or south for a bigger selection of restaurants and resort activity. Nearby shops cover the daily basics, while the channel brings beautiful sunsets and seasonal whales offshore. It is a relaxed West Maui base for families and small groups.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport (OGG) is about 40 to 45 minutes from the Lahaina area along Maui's west side. A rental car is recommended for beaches, shopping, and dining along the coast, including Kaanapali and Kapalua. Nearby beaches may be just minutes away, but most destinations require driving. Parking is typically available in designated lots, though popular beaches and restaurants can fill up.
