The Hidden Cedar was designed around the feeling of a modern Pacific Northwest lodge. Natural wood, warm textures, moody colors, stone, and large windows connecting the home to the surrounding lake and evergreens.

The lodge includes:

---- LAKEFRONT LIVING ----
The lake is the heart of The Hidden Cedar. Lake Morton is a small, quiet neighborhood lake. While motors are allowed, there is a no wake, 8 mph speed limit to maintain the tranquility.

🎣 Lake Morton is home to record-setting bass, and stocked with rainbow trout among other fish (guests are responsible for ensuring they comply with all local regulations/laws and acquiring their own fishing licenses)
🚣 For exploring the lake, we have two 10ft kayaks and two SUPs (stand up paddle boards) located in the garage. Life jackets are available and recommended, located in the bin next to the kayaks
🏊‍♀️ Private shoreline is accessible down the natural cedar wood chip path down to the water - please exercise caution, to avoid minimize impact to the lot surroundings it may be uneven and appear steep to those with difficulty walking
🔥 A wood-burning fire pit with 8 chairs is available

In addition to the beautifully landscaped front and back yards, with grass to play yard games on, and natural landscaping with night lighting bring you to a resort, you'll notice a protected critical area with native vegetation maintained throughout. Protecting wetlands is priority in Washington State and we've tried to keep the property as natural as possible. Guests are requested to stay out of the critical area fenced area and avoid walking over the septic drainfield gravel bars.

The luxury chef's kitchen is fully stocked for everything from slow mornings with coffee to full dinners at home. Modern appliances and a new Nespresso Vertuo machine, Ninja Espresso machine that can brew anything from an espresso, americano, brewed coffee, luxury appliances liked a 48" Wolf gas range and griddle, sub-zero 48" fridge, dishwasher and microwave, 3-stage filtered water on the sink, toaster, silverware, plates and bowls, kitchen knives, and various drinkware. Also included are baking sheets, cooking bowls, cutting boards, blender, NEW nonstick pots and pans, full spice rack with all common (and some uncommon) spices. Grill available under the covered patio.

The Hidden Cedar accommodates up to 10 people comfortably across 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, with room for the 10th on the oversized couch in the living room if you're bringing a large group.

PRIMARY SUITE
Features a luxury king bed, dresser, and sitting chair. The room features motorized room darkening shades, and a walk in closet. Private bathroom has heated floors throughout, including in the shower, a private toilet room with Toto bidet seat (if you know you know), walk-in shower with supplied Dove sensitive skin shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and double vanity with LED mirror and under-cabinet lighting. Full length body mirror.

2ND BEDROOM
Features a queen size bed with 2 nightstands and a closet.

3RD BEDROOM
Features a queen size bed, 2 nightstands, a closet, and a beautiful dresser with 65" inch LG TV.

4TH BEDROOM
Features a bunk bed with queen size mattress on the bottom, a twin xl on top, a dresser and closet. IMPORTANT: The top bunk has a max 600lb weight limit.

UPSTAIRS HALLWAY BATHROOM & DOWNSTAIRS BACK BATHROOM
These bathrooms include a bathtub shower and walk-in shower respectively, each includes a toilet with Toto bidet seat (again, if you know you know) :) and sink vanities with LED mirror. Both supplied with fresh towels, Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Additional bathroom located in the front entryway hallway includes a toilet, again with Toto bidet seat.

Fresh towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided for guests.

Parking - the garage has space for 1 midsize vehicle and can be used during you stay. Additionally, the driveway can fit approximately 4+ cars.

EV Charging - a universal Tesla charger is available for use during your stay. This includes the Tesla format charger and a universal J1772 adapter that can be clicked out from the charger.

We utilize a smart Ecobee thermostat that can be controlled by guests for comfort during the stay.

We live in a peaceful community surrounded by great neighbors. Guests agree to abide by the house rules. We love the community we live in and respect the quiet nature of the neighborhood. Any loud noise complaints or violations will be handled appropriately. Any violation of rules or excess cleaning will incur additional fees.

It's very important that the booking include the exact number of guests (preferably by selecting this in your booking, or notifying us via message.) Due to the size of the home, we will prepare the home with enough towels (plus extras) for the number of guests staying. The booking guest must have a verified profile. Guests with no past bookings, no verification or details, may be asked to provide additional, 100% secure verification through our booking management tool (similar to having to show your ID at a hotel).


Guests will have access to the entire home, including:

The only areas not available to guests are two locked owner's closets (in mudroom and upstairs hallway), a locked walk-in closet, and locked tool cabinet.

The Hidden Cedar is yours to enjoy privately during your stay. We will not be on-site, and check-in is completely contactless with a personalized smart-lock code.

We’re always just a message away through Airbnb if you have questions, need recommendations, or need assistance during your stay. Otherwise, we’ll give you the space and privacy to relax and enjoy the lake.

Good to Know

* No smoking indoors
* Quiet hours from 10pm–8am
* Garbage and recycling pickup is Friday (please have bins out by Thursday evening)
* Lake Morton is a non-motorized lake with an 8mph speed limit. Guests are responsible for following local laws and regulations, including fishing license rules.
* Our home is on a septic system. Please only flush toilet paper. Nothing else. Do not flush "flushable wipes." They will damage the septic system and will incur additional fines.
* Exterior security cameras are present for your protection and the home's safety. No other cameras are present.
* There is a thermostat temperature probe upstairs in the primary bedroom so the thermostat can average the two floors.
* Swimming and use of the lake, dock, kayaks, paddleboards, and other provided water equipment are at guests’ own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Life jackets are provided and must be worn while using watercraft. Guests are responsible for their own safety and for supervising children and others in their party. By using the lake, waterfront, or provided equipment
