Family friendly ranch retreat only minutes from the heart of Ephraim

This unique ranch retreat boasts 2600 square feet of second floor farm style living space, nestled in 29 acres of private meadow. Visitors enjoy the wonderful breeze in the large 2nd story great room/kitchen area with scenic views of the countryside throughout. Although located only 6 minutes from downtown Ephraim and the beach, this home offers amazing privacy with its' own walking trails, fire pit, large 2nd story deck, and plenty of activities for the kids including a trampoline, tether ball, slide off the second story and a ping pong table in the stable below. The home is also ideal for hosting large gatherings either outdoors, or in the first floor stable area or in the 2nd floor great room.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and faces south with sweeping views of a meadow and a master bath. Across the hallway is a queen size room with an adjoining full bath. The home also has two guest bedrooms both with two twin beds that share a hallway bathroom.

For the 2025 season, we have added a beautiful covered porch on the south side of the building, a bluestone patio with fire pit, and a restroom in the stable area.

Great vacation home! Stocked very well, clean, updated and everything is very well kept. One of the best rentals we have ever had in Door County and we visit every year for 30 years.Randy is very responsive and accommodating.Lots of open space inside and outside, great for kids. Just minutes from the beach and parks. Would rent again!

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. I can’t think of a single negative thing to say. The property’s central location was a highlight. We loved the living quarters. Everyone could spread out. Preparing meals was a pleasure, and we thoroughly enjoyed morning coffee and dining on the deck. Loved the new patios, too! Administratively, everything ran smoothly. The property owner made communication easy, although we wanted for nothing during our visit. Would both recommend and return to this property without hesitation.

Perfect Family Getaway

Rustic Farmhouse hosts Wedding Festivities

Pioneer Ranch exceeded all of our expectations. Randy was extremely accommodating as we prepared for our big day. The lodging was very comfortable and spacious, while the property allowed for peaceful strolls in beautiful surroundings. A short drive to local communities ensured we had plenty of resources if needed. We already want to go back!

Wonderful house!

This house was phenomenal. There was so much to do on the property (ping pong, slide, trampoline, tetherball) that my kids barely looked at screens the whole time we were here. Plus the house was very clean, had lots of space to hang out, was well stocked with everything we needed. I would give it 10 stars if i could. We will definitely be renting again.

We loved the location of this rental and the privacy that it offered our family. The games that are both outdoors and in the barn were enjoyed and appreciated. Communication with the host was the best we’ve ever experienced. We will definitely return!

I give this stay all the stars! The tranquil setting was spectacular. We enjoyed walking the trails and sitting on the balcony taking in the peace and quiet. Even on a rainy day, we had a blast spending time in the stable playing ping pong and bags. The location was just right for us - close to Sister Bay or Ephrain for groceries, dining, and activities - but far enough away to feel like we were truly away from it all. The interior was delightfully decorated, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Randy was also a very responsive host - the care he took to provide an exceptional experience was evident from the moment we booked. Door County is always special, but this trip was a level-up. Loved every minute of it!

Excellent family friendly home

So much space inside and outside of the house for adults and children to relax or play games. Never a worry about having to share space. Furnishings were very comfortable and all the kitchen and serving items we needed were available. Our host was super friendly and took care of all our needs.

Door County Triathlon

Our group of 8 was in Door County for the annual triathlon in July. We had 8 adults. The owner, Randy, was very helpful and available. His response time was very fast when we had any questions. The location is very private and spacious. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. The lower level has a ping pong table in one of the horse stalls and the other stall has a dart board. There is also a horse shower so if you bring any dogs, you can rinse them off before taking them inside. Our dog loved the land and ran around the fields. The upper level is the main living area. We slept comfortably and there are 3 large bathrooms. The kitchen had lots of room to operate with multiple people. The kitchen range has 6 burners, so plenty of space for cooking. Even with 8 adults in the main living space, it still felt huge. While it is private, it's only 11 minutes from Ephraim and Fish Creek. Our triathlon was in Egg Harbor and that was an easy 20 minute drive. Before we left on our final day, we all went down the slide which goes from the outdoors upper balcony in the back to the lower level. It's a fun place to stay. We highly recommend this rental!

Paradise in Door County

Our family booked a stay at the Pioneer Ranch for 2 family birthdays. The residence is amazing, the apartment is situated above the barn on the ground level. The barn has table tennis and basketballs and is a really fun place to hang out. There is an elevator to travel with luggage etc, up to the residence on the 2nd floor and also stairs. The lodgings are modern, attractive, super comfortable & up to date, with every convenience one would need for a stay. Fluffy towels and comfy beds, everyone slept great. We especially enjoyed making dinner and breakfast together in the large kithen/family room area and the kids loved the trampoline and tether ball. Randy is very accessible with questions and we were so very sad to leave, but we will be back. 10 out of 10!
