Family Vacation

Rented this beautiful home for 10 days. At times, there were 13 of us and the house was more than comfortable for everyone including all of our cars. Plenty of space to gather but also spacious enough for alone quiet time. Short walk to the beach, which we walked daily. Our kids asked about coming back next year! Cheryl was very responsive by text with questions. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Thank you Jessica for your wonderful review! Sorry I am just responding. It has been a very good, crazy busy. Plus, I had my total hip replacement yesterday and needed to get things in order. I am so thrilled that everyone found the house more than comfortable. The best is when the kids want to come back the next year! So many families tell me that their kids/grandkids talk about coming back all year long and how they can't wait for their summer in Maine. -Thank you for all that was done prior to check out. The crew and I appreciate it more than words can say. -I look forward to your return in August. Winter well!

The house is beautiful and really well maintained with new or almost new appliances, plenty of refrigerator space, comfortable beds, and many places to sit and hangout. Listening to the ocean waves and seeing the ocean from our windows and deck was dreamy. The large main area worked well for our group of 14. Our host was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. Two things it would have been helpful to know is that the indoor stairs to the ground level go through the bunk room. To maintain privacy in that bedroom, some of our downstairs guests used the external staircases. It would have also been helpful to know that we were expected to bring our own TP and paper towels beyond the few rolls provided. Thankfully Hanniford's is right down the road. Those are small issues. The beds were so comfortable that one family member wrote to the host to learn the model of the mattress so she could order the same for her home! Thank for all you did to accommodate us! We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful place in great location

We wanted to have a big family gathering to celebrate post-COVID life and this property was ideal for our large group. The owner was gracious and helpful and the property was well appointed. I’d recommend it.

Excellent vacation! The house has everything you could need and was very, very clean. You can tell it is well maintained! Everything was top-notch from the towels, beds, kitchen supplies, beach chairs, furniture, and hot tub. Great location, easy 1 min walk to the beach. Highly recommend staying at Cheryl's place!

Amazing house

The house was great for our large family of 20. Plenty of space for all the adults and kiddos, so close to beach and all the local attractions, very comfortable on those hot days with AC. Already booked for next year!

Great experience!!

What a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful views So close to the beach, pristine cleanliness, comfy beds and lots of space! For the first time in years, we didn’t need to pack aerobeds and cots to make sure everyone had a bed and a personal space for our group of 9 family members. There was actually room to spare!! The hosts could not have been nicer and more responsive. I highly recommend this rental. I hope we get to stay here again!!

Warm and cozy for the winter!

I rented this house throughout the winter months. Wish it was available as a year round rental. I certainly understand though why is books up so fast weekly in the summer! Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed with how clean the house was. The owner takes such pride and excellent care of the property. The kitchen is incredible!! All of the appliances are top of the line!! The leather barstools are so comfortable too!! Also from the kitchen, are beautiful views of Wells Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. I felt so fortunate to be so close to the water!! So peaceful to sit with my morning coffee and watch the waves. The owner keeps a supply of beach chairs on the property for the summer rentals. It is such a short walk from the house to the beach. My daughter and I also enjoyed the living room throughout the winter evenings. The 60" curved tv and SONOS sound system made for many fun, entertaining movie nights. I am booking a week in the summer here next year with my extended family. I can't wait to come back!! This house is 5 stars and above!!

Absolutely wonderful property and owner !

Our extended family (now totally 17 from 5 years old to 72) has been renting beachfront properties in MA and ME for 18 years and we all feel that this was the best yet with an owner, Cheryl, who was fantastic to work with and extremely accommodating when we had special requests and some minor changes. The site pictures and descriptions really don't do the house justice and there wasn't one single thing missing. We have rented in Hyannis, Chatham, So. Yarmouth, Dennis and Barnstable on the Cape and in Kennebunk Beach in ME and this was definitely the best overall experience, due in large part to the owner. 5 stars really isn't enough !!

An amazing home right near the ocean!

What an amazing home! All 11 family members raved about how beautiful the home was and it's location could not be beat. Close to the beach, shopping, fantastic seafood and the best ice cream in the land! Cheryl Austin, the owner, was wonderful! She took the time to show us the entire house and all the beautiful upgrades. We have already signed up for the same week next year and we can't wait! Thank you so much Cheryl...your the best!!!

Great Family Reunion House

We loved this place. We had 3 generations of family (15 people total) for a week and it was REALLY comfortable. The dining area that is combined with the kitchen seats 15 comfortably, so we had "loud Italian family dinners" every night. It was a blast. The house is all new with really high quality amenities (the kitchen and the bathrooms are outstanding). Two refrigerators, two washer dryers, a hot tub and views of the ocean from several rooms. It is only 50 steps to the entrance to Wells Beach, which is sandy, at least 2 miles long and 150 yards wide at low tide. And, the best part is Cheryl, the owner. She's very hands on and a total sweetheart. She will make sure your stay is the best and works hard to correct anything that is not to your liking. We loved her! We would go back again in a heartbeat and would give it 6 stars if we could. If you have a large group and need a first class party house, this is it!

Great Time

No complaints from us. This house was outstanding. Many many places to sleep. My favorite is the way the kitchen and living room set up made it easy to visit with the people cooking. Cheryl is a great owner. She checked in on regularly to make sure everything was okay.

Great place for family gathering!!

What a great vacation!! We rented this fantastic house from 6/28/2014 to 7/5/2014. The owner, Cheryl, was incredible. We were fortunate to be the first to stay as everything was brand new and freshly painted. Among the things we really like were. 1. There were three sets of bunks beds on the ground floor. It worked out as a great place to sleep and hang out for 6 teen aged kids. 2. We spent time at night watching TV in the front room. It had 3 couches and a nice TV/Surround sound setup. 3. The gas fire pit was pretty cool. We spent a couple of nights sitting around that. 4. The hot tub got lots of use. 5. The room in the top corner was coveted by all. It had a nice balcony. My aunt and uncle slept with the door and windows open during several nights of the stay. The sound of the waves rolling in made for a peaceful nights sleep. 6. The owner!! Cheryl was incredible. She checked on us a couple of times and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay awesome. Not one person had a complaint. It was a great week and we were all sad when it came to an end.
