The property was great! Very clean, lots of towels. Nice space to hang out and relax and the pool was nice. Good selection of dishes in the kitchen. The only addition I would recommend is to add towel racks in the downstairs bathroom. Thank you so much!

I loved the place, everything was as it said. I do wish every room had a tv but that is just my preference. Giving the circumstances of the place being a rental home, it was decently clean. I had a blast here and would rent this place again if needed

Spacious home & outdoor pool/patio was great

spacious home to accommodate our party. We spent most of our time on the patio and outdoors using the pool. We were disappointed during our stay for the overall price of the house...the grill didn't work at all, the kitchen pots/pans, silverware was very minimal. I think there was 1 pot and 1 egg pan. We had difficulty cooking with very little cookware.

We enjoyed our stay in this home. I'll start by saying it is not a perfect house in a fancy neighborhood. If that is what you expect, you will be let down. But it is a great option for a larger family looking to vacation together in the same house near Atlanta. There was plenty of space for everyone to gather together and plenty of room for everyone to have their own space when they needed to get away from each other. The pool is awesome, with both shallow and deep ends to fit everyone's preferences. This is an older house in Atlanta, so the A/C didn't keep things as cool as we would have liked, but our visit was in July, so that is understandable. Cooling off in the pool made it worth it. The neighborhood was quiet and the proximity to the city and interstate was great. Even with bad traffic, we got where we needed to go without too much trouble. The one downside to this area is that there are not many food options within a 5/10 minute drive but, if you're willing to go a little farther, there are more dining options that are worth the effort. The host was quick to respond when we had questions and was attentive to our needs. Overall we enjoyed the visit and would stay here again.

Cleaning should be done before check in of every client.

This was a fixer uppers fail. We had cabinets that had crayon to cover the peeled off color on cabinets. Beds missing slats. COACH ROACHES i. Kitchen and living qtrs. Cost extra for the same number of people the site says it sleeps.. justnot a good representation of Vrbo

Owner was responsive initially, however too many items impacted our entire stay. Hidden fee and no communication

The listing states that it sleeps 14 but I was told that there is an additional visitor fee after 6 people AFTER I had paid in full on a non- refundable listing. The two lower levels flooded and NO ONE responded to my calls or texts. If the owner/ manager didn’t like the comments or questions that I asked of her she would not respond. Overall the place looks good in pictures but I would never book a property with Sara B again. I’m still waiting for a refund that is owed to my and I am yet to receive any correspondence about the damage that the flooding caused our luggage and clothing. Extremely UNSATISFIED!!!

Don’t Be Tempted

This rental is absolutely not worth the price. I paid over $500 per night and the majority of amenities advertised were not available at the rental and those we did receive only showed up at the rental because I contacted the hostess. Simple things like a full propane tank for the grill, or better yet a gas grill that works. We arrived Friday evening to find no propane in the tank. iMessage the hostess through the app and no response. I text messaged the hostess and then she responded to the app and offered to reimburse me for the propane tank if I wanted to go ahead and “pick one up.” Ummm - No - not when I pay over 500 host just told me the maintenance man would be at the property in 20 minutes with the propane tank. Over two hours later we received a propane tank. I asked him to look at the grill and if possible hook up the propane , he immediately closed the lid and said you absolutely cannot use this grill. It’s broken. No grilling Friday night. Instead, we were woken very early in the morning with a new grill being delivered. It’s too bad no grilling tools were delivered. We had no grilling utensils and the hodgepodge, missed matched utensils in the kitchen, appeared to be those utensils that nobody uses or knows how to use! Suffice to say, the cool time relaxation and fun was hardly that.

Could have definitely been better

The initial check-in was fine, although we didn't receive the code until two hours before check-in. The overall cleanliness and look of the home was also fine, nothing outstanding. Communication with the property manager was initially fine as well. More on that later. The problems came in when we discovered that the air conditioner is woefully inadequate for the size of the home. The air primarily only cools the main living area which is the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The bedroom off the main floor had a portable air conditioning unit, as did one of the upstairs bedrooms so those rooms were sufficiently cooled. The other rooms (downstairs in the basement area, and the other two bedrooms upstairs include the master) were warm at best and very hot at worst. It was 10-15 degrees warmer in the upstairs area than in any other part of the home. Another issue we had was there were some bad storms on one of the nights of our stay that caused some flooding in a couple of areas in the home. The bedroom off the main floor had some flooding from a door which ran along the baseboards, almost into the plug for the portable AC unit, and into a couple of bags and under one of the beds. There was some additional flooding from a couple of spots along the wall in the basement area. This brings us to communication. As I said, communication initially was fine, very pleasant. Once we started reporting the issues with the water and the air, the communication essentially stopped. They asked for pictures of the flooding, and after that....nothing. No apology for the air or the flooding, and no response at all when we let them know that we had left the house and provided the steps we had taken to leave the house in the same way we found it. I just thought it was kind of unprofessional to not even acknowledge the issues or thank us for staying with them. With all that said, overall the house was sufficient for our groups needs. There was plenty of room, there was plenty of beds, and the pool area was in good shape and some of our group enjoyed the swimming. The location was also pretty good with easy access to the highway and a number of grocery stores, and the neighborhood was pretty quiet.

Old house with roaches

This property is not modern at all. The cleaning left much to be desired. The pool was ok I'll say that much. There are roaches both dead and living all around the house. As well as spiders and other bugs. Not the thing I had in mind when I rented this property. Myself and my guests left one day early. I definitely will not be renting this place again.

Truly a hidden gem...

To get right to the point, the home was very clean, located in a quiet older Decatur neighborhood, and was stocked with everything a family would need to enjoy their stay (new bbq grill, covered patio with large table and pool). We have 2 kids (ages 8 and 10) and prior to the pandemic, we paid lots of money for swim lessons-- last summer was a total scratch for us and outdoor pool activities, fortunately they made up for it in this house (they turned into fish). The pool was amazing, surprisingly very large, clean (I did not even need to use the net), the back yard was well manicured with mature trees (lots of privacy) and the neighbors (who I am sure are nice people) were quiet and unseen. The home had all of the amenities you need, dishes, soap, dishwashing detergent and more! Sara was great, responsive and very willing to accommodate! Even though we were in town visiting family, I also had an unplanned Zoom call that was very important and was scheduled for the same time as checkout; I texted Sara and asked if I could stay in the house (and not the sweltering heat:) to take the call-- she immediately responded and said that I could stay and finish my call. This, to me, spoke volumes. Thank you Sara! I would tell anyone, if you are visiting ATL and don't want to stay in a hotel-- this home, with its large private pool, is a hidden gem and an AMAZING alternative!

Did the job

The pool, sleeping arrangements and amenities (spices, pans, appliances, towels, etc) were all more than we expected. A few things came up during the stay which they were quick to react and address. Despite being told they were new issues, I know enough about home construction to say they weren’t. I’ve stayed a lot of places and would rate this above average but not perfect. Tough to find a good restaurant close by, traffic on 285 is horrendous, and the bugs outside were a pain (all non controllable). The pool and porch were great especially if you have kids!! We could sit outside and relax while they enjoyed the pool even in the rain. Would stay here again as the neighborhood was quiet and people were friendly.

Disastrous Outcome

Unfortunately, I never got to stay at this home because on the day of check-in I had not received the code to enter the property. After corresponding with the property manager, she said she would send me the code 2 hours after I had already reached the property for check-in. When I still hadn't received the code and reached back out to her, she cancelled my reservation and lied to me stating that the property was trashed by the previous occupants. I looked into and around the property and it was in pristine condition. She refunded me my money and refused to communicate with me any further upon me asking for more details about her cancelling my reservation 2 hours after my check-in time as I was sitting in the drive-way of the home with my family members for a Mother's Day weekend stay. I contacted VRBO to complain, and they contacted the property manager who informed them that she had double-booked my stay. My advice, if you can stay somewhere else, do that to avoid the possibility that you get screwed by this property manager. VRBO could not ensure that this would not happen in the future. They said they would warn the owner to be more careful about this going forward. Meanwhile, I got screwed out of a holiday weekend stay with all of my siblings and my mom for Mother's Day weekend and because it was after my check-in time it was impossible to find a comparable stay anywhere. VRBO arranged for my family to stay at a hotel that night, but sent their apologies that this was all that they could do. Our groceries that were in the car went bad, my family that traveled from out of town lost money from taking time off of work and their travel expenses, in addition to the money they had to spend to stay the other night somewhere else. This doesn't even begin to account for the fact that this completely ruined the weekend. Stay here at your own risk.

Not What I expected but not bad

Pros: The house is nice , the backyard is Immaculate with big pool and nice size rooms. Cons: Bugs and Spiders in and outside home . No Tv in master bedrooms ,pool was dirty ,heard shooting in the neighborhood and trash cans was full outside as if it wasn’t pick up for a week

Hi James, not really sure where you are coming from as we clean at a very high standard. You also never mentioned anything to us. We had these checked and no issues whatsoever exists.

Good chill spot

The washing machine flooded basement floor on the last day. In addition the ac unit does not cool the entire house. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Hi Schandrina! We were happy to sort out the washing machine immediately for you but we never knew about the AC. Upon reading this, we had it checked and everything seems to be working in perfect condition.

Fridge Don’t Work

The check in process was very smooth. As we got there, we wiped down the kitchen and knobs and could tell it was poorly done by cleaning staff. The house is nice but did not have a property working refrigerator is unacceptable. To have an old air conditioner unit that can’t keep house cool and you have fans in every room is a sign the air does not work. Our trip to this house was hot and muggy without a refrigerator to keep food cold. Lost money on food cause it did not keep.

Hi Shallota, we never received any messages from you regarding these issues you are now raising. Our cleaning staff completed the job at a high standard especially now during COVID times. Every appliance we have is in optimal condition and if not and issues were experienced, we would have been happy to have someone come by to sort everything for you. But we never knew. Apologies.

Sara your beautiful home saved my son & fiancé birthday ! She responded within a hour to everything . Home was clean, pool was great, so much space, enough supply to cook for huge family ! Quiet neighborhood ! A must book!

Passion Conference

I had a church group that came over stayed 2 nights. The house met our needs perfectly. It was clean and had plenty of space for all of us.
