Both Parks are just a ten minute walk to the long, sandy beach, which in 2018 was awarded the European Blue Flag Beach Award for the 20th consecutive year.
Outside Beaches Chalet there is a private terrace with wooden bench and seating. This leads on to a large communal lawned area.

Dawlish Warren is considered to be one of the top resorts in the UK and attracts people from all around the world. The resort has been named in the Top 12 UK Blue Flag beaches by TripAdvisor, who said that Dawlish Warren Beach is spectacular.
Located at the mouth of the Exe Estuary, it really does have something to offer everyone, with its National Nature Reserve, 18 Hole Golf Course and award-winning beach.
Dawlish Warren’s long sandy beach is a 550m flat walk from the Chalets . It has been awarded the internationally renowned Blue Flag award for 20 consecutive years. The Blue Flag is only awarded to those beaches which pass the very strictest criteria for environmental management, visitor facilities, cleanliness and clean bathing water. Experienced RNLI Lifeguards are on duty between May and September.

In the summer there are weekly open-air market and car boot sales, as well as regular steam trains running along the coast.
