Casa de carácter contemporáneo en Shaldon Village, cerca de la playa 110 yardas y comodidades. Ferry a Teignmouth a solo 150 yardas de distancia.

El alojamiento consta de una sala de estar / comedor, mecedora, silla a juego y sofá cama, mesa de comedor extensible para 6, tocador de pie alto con juegos, buena selección de libros y DVD, conexión Wi-Fi, unidad de TV con pantalla plana SMART TV y reproductor de DVD, lámpara de mesa, cofre de lino y lámpara estándar y espejos colgados en la pared y todo amueblado en un tema marítimo.

Una planta baja W. C. y un lavabo, un armario empotrado integrado desde el salón

La cocina está equipada con unidades de base y pared a juego, nevera con congelador, lavadora, horno eléctrico con placa de gas, microondas, hervidor eléctrico, tostadora, cacerolas, sartén, utensilios, 6 juegos de cubiertos, vajilla y vasos, vinagreras coloque, coloque tapetes y una unidad de piso con estantes para tazones y un reloj de pared, papelera, recogedor y cepillo y aspiradora, papelera.

Las puertas francesas de la cocina conducen a una pequeña terraza / patio cubierto con orientación sur, con mesa, sillas y plantas. Esta acogedora área es una trampa solar ideal para el desayuno o una cena y una copa de vino.

La escalera alfombrada conduce desde el salón con una balaustrada de acero inoxidable y vidrio de placa que continúa a lo largo del aterrizaje. El aterrizaje está alfombrado y tiene una gran cómoda blanca.

Fuera del aterrizaje hay un baño contemporáneo. Hay un baño curvo con ducha, radiador de toallas de pared de acero inoxidable, WC y lavabo. Un botiquín se coloca convenientemente en un nivel alto con un frente de espejo y un armario grande para guardar toallas debajo de la ventana.

El dormitorio principal tiene una cama doble con colchón de espuma viscoelástica, confeccionada en ropa de cama azul y blanca, lámparas de noche y un televisor colgado en la pared al pie de la cama, hay un armario y cestas de almacenamiento atractivas. El segundo dormitorio, también confeccionado en ropa de cama azul y blanca, tiene dos camas individuales con armario, mesita de noche y lámpara de mesa.

El estacionamiento en carretera está disponible directamente afuera de The Cottage por un tiempo limitado, con estacionamiento gratuito durante todo el día alrededor del Bowling Green a 50 yardas de distancia o en el estacionamiento del pueblo en el Ness por una tarifa.

Lovely cosy, and quirky. Very clean and comfy beds. Loved the small but comfortable outdoor space at the rear. Would definitely book again. We asked if we could enter the property before the stated time as we were travelling by train and John helpfully provided us with the cleaner's details so we could check. Very good service.

We had a really lovely stay at the property. Shaldon is wonderful. Property is within walking distance of the beach and local amenities (including the ferry across to Teignmouth). The property was well equipped with everything we needed for a long weekend. Overall we’ve had a wonderful time, peaceful and calm and managed to switch off from it all. Thank you!

The location of the property is great and communication was good. However, cleanliness of the property wasn't great particularly in the bathroom there was black mould around the tiles of the bath and green mould in the shower screen strip. The sofa and chairs were tired and stained. The kitchen and the bathrooms were also very tired. It was my fault I hadn't noticed in the small print that linen wasn't provided, but felt this could be made more obvious than only mentioned in the small print. I can understand with bath towels but no hand towels or even a bath mat was provided either.

Just had the most fantastic few days in the cottage. Perfect size for our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids - 10 and 14). I understand parking may be an issue but we found a parking space around the bowling green, literally a 30 second walk away so not a problem for us. The location of the cottage is perfect. Literally a couple of mins and you’re on the beach. Shaldon beach was so much fun and my kids both loved it. Crystal clear water. Couldn’t believe how busy it got late afternoon /early evening with kids jumping off the jetty and floating down the current. Ness Cove also worth a visit and only a short walk away. Yummy fish and chip shop literally opposite the house and we loved the bakery and butchers also a stones throw away. Everybody was so friendly.Communication from the host was also great - he even left us a bottle of wine on arrival! Will be telling all my friends about this lovely cottage and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Lovely clean bright cottage.

Good location in quaint seaside village. Good local restaurants and easy access to Teignmouth and other parts of Devon. We didn't need a car and the kids and my elderly mother loved being able to walk to shops, cafes and beach.

Lovely spot, very comfortable and welcoming.

We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning. Very convenient for the beach and the property is even roomier than it seems from the photos. Our only niggle was that the expelair in the bathroom was very noisy. Would recommend.

Cottage living in Shaldon

We stayed for 4 months over the winter period, and enjoyed every minute of it. The accommodation is well located in the village of Shaldon, close to the local amenities, and the sandy beach. Everything you need in the house to make your stay comfortable.

Perfect Family Holiday

Excellent property and very nice decor. Location was fabulous. Only downside was the parking which we were made aware of prior to arrival. Would be nice if you could buy a permit for your stay, although we didn't see a traffic warden it was always on the back of your mind.

I really enjoyed my stay at the cottage. Great location, lots of space, lovely decor, and the little outside garden was really lovely. The washing machine was an added bonus. I had a slight problem at the start of my stay as I hadn't received the check-in details but all was sorted in the end. My only negative (and it is quite a big one unfortunately), is that the bed linen wasn't fresh and clean. I honestly don't think the sheets, and particularly the pillow cases, had been washed after the previous occupants because they smelt stale and sweaty, plus the sheet on one of the single beds was covered in little hairs (looked like pet hair); so thank goodness for the washing machine! Perhaps a word with the cleaner is needed. All in all it was lovely, and I would definitely stay here again : )

Oh dear that is not as it should be. There should not have been any pet hairs as pets are ,ot allowed! I will have a word with the cleaners!

Great holiday in shaldon

Unfortunately there was a mix up regarding our arrival. The cottage wasn't ready for us and sadly beds not made or cottage clean. However the host soon sorted this and the cottage was cleaned the following day. The host was very apologetic and compensated us! Despite the mix up we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return.It was an innocent mistake and feel sure it was a one off! The cottage was warm and comfortable. It was well equipped and in a great location. We can't wait to visit again..

Quiet Harbourside retreat

We had gorgeous weather, and this cottage was perfect for getting out and about on the SW Coast Path and Dartmoor. Also lovely to be able to pop down to the harbour of an evening (literally 2 minutes away). I think the cottage may feel a bit small if the weather stopped you getting out. The kitchen was perfectly adequate, although frying pans could do with replacing. Everything was cleaned beautifully, The beds were very comfortable. The settee not as much! We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it as a base for getting out and about. The welcoming wine bottles were also gratefully received. Thank you.

Pefect for a break by the sea

The house is delightful, well arranged and equipped. We loved being so near the estuary and the sea; as well as the village green and bowls. The village is very well served by all sorts of amenities, and we would definitely consider coming here again. Weather was good too, and we loved the passenger ferry across to Teignmouth. Thank you to John and Kathy!

Great week had by all

Enjoyable stay at cottage for a week. Lovely home from home for our stay. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance and a short ferry ride to Teignmouth gives even more options. Well situated and plenty to explore without even moving the car I.e zoo, botanical gardens, Teignmouth town and beach. Ness cove beautiful and great for paddle boarding.

We are private owners of a unique property which we originally bought to enjoy a seaside break in a quiet location.

We love coming down to Shaldon, but we are still both working and run our own architectural and surveying practice where we live in Woking, Surrey and therefore have not used the Cottage as much as we would like. However, we still set aside some weeks in the holiday season for our own enjoyment which we hope others will share.

Shaldon is a quaint welcoming village which seems in a time warp and offers the opportunity for a quiet and relaxing Holiday.
Shaldon is one of those old fashioned communities where the locals say good morning and life continues at Its own pace.

Historically the property was the local greengrocers, but was recently purchased and developed by a local builder and extended from a single storey shop Into a double storey cottage. The first floor and roof are an extension erected in 2011/12 and the windows, fabric and services within the property are all newly renovated and installed in 2012. We have made several alterations to maximise the accommodation and furnished the cottage for our own enjoyment.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Cottage has level access and is quite unique which is apparent from when you first open the front door to reveal the layout and unusual stainless steel and plate glass balustrade.

The rear patio/terrace is secluded where you can enjoy breakfast or an evening supper and glass of wine for a quiet evening in or a short walk to sample the many pubs and restaurants nearby within easy level walking distance.
