Mead Flat en el corazón de Dawlish con excelentes vistas al mar a 150 metros de la playa

Mead Flat es un gran piso superior de 2 dormitorios en una propiedad victoriana en el corazón de Dawlish. En 2018 fue completamente renovado a un nivel muy alto. El alojamiento consta de una habitación doble con baño; un gran segundo dormitorio que tiene un sofá cama doble, uno individual y otro individual; el baño principal; Un amplio living con cocina y comedor. Utilizamos este apartamento como nuestra casa de vacaciones con nuestros 4 niños, por lo que tiene todo lo que necesita para unas excelentes vacaciones. Todo está a una corta distancia a pie, ya sea jugando en la playa, corriendo por el césped, recorriendo las tiendas y restaurantes locales, o subiendo al tren hasta Exeter o Penzance. Si bien no hay estacionamiento en la propiedad, puede estacionar en el estacionamiento del tren (por una tarifa diaria) o subir la colina a 5 minutos de forma gratuita. Una vez que estamos allí, no usamos el automóvil durante días.
También es una base ideal para explorar la costa de Devon, ya que está al lado del camino de la costa sur, y como no está lejos de la M5, solo nos lleva más de una hora llegar desde la unión M4 / M5.

Gorgeous stay in Dawlish

Our group was myself and my sister with our husbands. Perfect to have 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, with a large table and comfortable couch. The kitchen is amply supplied, everything was clean, well explained, and enjoyable. You can't beat the location and the view. We even had gorgeous weather and some lovely strolls around town. Only downsides are taking luggage up the narrow staircase and having to park off property, but those are not bad tradeoffs and can't be helped. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again! Hosts were communicative and helpful!

MEAD FLAT

We stayed for a week the property is in a good location easily accessible by train or bus also you can travel around to visit other locations from this property very easily there’s a bus stop right outside and train station across the road good views out of the living room window the property itself was clean except a dishwasher full of dishes on arrival ,paintwork needs a little attention the shower cubicle door does not shut well the shower seal needs replaced also quite dirty also a tiny shower mat for standing on does not mop up the water escaping from the worn shower seal both the ensuite bathroom and the main bathroom had a very strong smell of what I would think would be a drain problem not nice at all the property was on the top floor the bonus was the view the downfall was getting 2 medium suitcases up all the flights of stairs really struggled to get them up and down stairs ,mostly has everything you need for a holiday no hairdryer which would have been useful especially when travelling long distance without a car otherwise well equipped ,very spacious overall a nice place to stay nothing massively wrong with this property just a few minor problems that could be easily be resolved except I’d say for the very noisy neighbours continuous loud music music playing in one of the properties day and night until past 12 midnight daytime didn’t matter to us but after midnight yes it did so not a quiet place to stay no consideration for there neighbours which is a shame .

Fantastisk opphold

Har bare gode ord å si om leiligheten. Midt i smørøyet, rent og fint, alt vi trengte og bra kommunikasjon med verten. Dawlish er en fantastisk plass å reise på ferie. Stranden var helt topp. Vi kunne ikke hatt det bedre i forhold til leiligheten vi valgte. Alt var i nærheten, og den var ikke bråkete, selv om vi bodde midt i sentrum. Alle i familien synes det var helt topp. Også deilig å ha kort avstand til gåturen mellom Dawlish og Dawlish Warren.

Perfect

The location of the property is ideal, just across the road from the railway station and the beach, overlooking the lawns. Check in was very simple with straightforward instructions provided and the property was as described. We had no issues at all. I will admit that I was slightly worried about the number of stairs, having had a knee injury previously, but it was fine and unless your mobility is very restricted then most people won't have a problem, and the view from the living room made it worth the small climb! We had a very enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Super apartment with everything we needed. A real home from home.

We have had a lovely short break at the apartment. It had everything we needed, a real home from home. Lovely light and spacious rooms and nice decor and furnishings. We really appreciated the hamper on arrival, a really lovely welcome. The location of the apartment was brilliant, central to everything in Dawlish and a perfect location for exploring South Devon.

Beautifully appointed two bed/two bath flat

Flat is just perfect. Location was ideal for public transport (bus and trains) which we used to get to other beaches. However, constant noise of traffic (especially motorbikes at the weekend), buses and people gathering right outside, noise of trains, and rebuilding of sea wall (which we thought had been done). Sometimes work on the sea wall started in the early evening just when everything else was quietening down. It was hot during our stay so we wanted windows open, but outside noise meant with open windows we sometimes couldn’t hear one another talking in the lounge/kitchen or hear the TV. Such a shame about the noise, but we went out as much as possible as the area is lovely.

Great location and host

We had a good time in Dawlish. The flat is spacious and clean. It is near the towncenter, beach and public transport. Communication with the host was quick and friendly. He made a lot of effort to solve a small problem.

Lovely apartment and stunning views

Superb apartment. Very spacious with everything you need. Lovely welcome hamper. Views from the windows were beautiful. Set right in the middle of Dawlish close to the beach.

Great Apartment

This was a fab little break for us on the south coast. From booking to arrival it was hassle free, great communication via text from the owner who was very helpful. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and a great base for us to go off walking and exploring the towns along the coast. Dawlish is a quiet little town but with a few nice pubs, restaurants and lots of ducks to feed, it was easy to find things to do when we did stay close, including watching the odd movie or two in that apartment. Lovely little break for us made all the better due to the great accommodation and ease of the whole experience.

Home from Home

This was the perfect stay, beautiful apartment. Has everything you need to make your stay feel like you have not left home, with the added bonus of having the coast so close you can open the windows and hear the waves breaking. Train station less than a 3 min very gentle stroll. Dawlish has some lovely cafe style restaurants, and Tea rooms. If your looking for a relaxing break you won't go far wrong with staying at Jo & Andrews beautiful apartment, already looking for dates for next year. Thank you Mark & Trish.

Excellent break

The whole experience was very good. Booking was easy. Excellent communication and information from the owners. The location and view was lovely although the steps were very steep. The flat was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed and the welcome pack was a lovely thoughtful gesture. We couldn't have asked for a better week and would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent location,Great base to explore south Devon

The apartment was excellent with great sea views and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.It was also close to the train station, which made it easy to visit other places.The only down side was the lack of parking at the property,but this didn’t this wouldn’t put us of staying again.We all had a great week.

First rate, facilities in the apartment were better than shown and everything needed for a great holiday is there. The location is perfect with stunning views and good eating places and pubs nearby.

Dawlish flat with a sea view

I would highly recommend staying at this property. It is extremely well furnished with a full kitchen and all the equipment you could need. The living area is very comfortable with sea views. There is also plenty of room for dining. Both bedrooms very nicely decorated with very comfortable beds. The showers and bathrooms are really good. The contract with the owners is excellent and give great advice on how to make the most of your stay here. We had a family gathering of 5 adults all of who enjoyed the flat there was plenty of room for all of as . Thanks very much to Andrew and Joanne for making are stay in Dawlish so enjoyable.

Andrew and Joanne's flat is ideally suited for "Train Surfing" highly recommend downloading the Trainline App. for some great prices. The flat was spotless and very comfortable. The facilities are brilliant all that you could need especially dishes and cutlery etc. *****

Dawlish in order to do South West Coast path walking

The property was well appointed with good facilities. Near to shops and amenities including good travel possibilities with buses and trains near by. We took the car to various locations on the coast path and then used public transport to get to a starting point to walk back to the car.

The location an views from this property were what made the holiday! The decor, cleanliness and check in were faultless. The views.......oh wow! Watching the trains (surprisingly quiet) pass the sea every morning while the sun was rising was breathtaking. We will most certainly be back

Perfect location

For a few days break this was the perfect location to make use of the locals bars and eateries. The flat had everything we needed and the extra bathroom was perfect for us. Beds and pillows comfortable.

Home from home with a view

We had a wonderful few days in Dawlish. The apartment is like a home from home but with a sea view. Very conveniently located and great for day trips to either Exeter or Torquay.

We live in Wiltshire and use this property as our holiday home for us and our 4 boys. We have spent a long time refurbishing this property to get it to the standard we expect in a holiday home including decent beds! Being only a short distance from Exeter it is really quick to get to if we fancy a weekend away.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

What we love about this property is it has everything you need within a very short walk. You can play on the beach or simply look out the window at the sea. There is full facilities to cook as you would at home, but with such a range of take-aways and restaurants around, you don't need to. There is also a micro-climate in Dawlish which means it is generally warmer than the rest of the UK, I suspect it is due to it being protected by the hills. The only time you get bad weather is if it comes in off the sea, and then it is spectacular!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We were down on a hot bank holiday Monday playing on a half empty beach to get back and find that on other beaches there was standing room only!!
With the train station being a short level walk away we are happy for our teenage boys to come an join us later or leave early via the train, which means they can come away with us but still get back for events they have planned.
