Beautiful house, fantastic location. Dock provides a wonderful spot for swimming, with awesome views of mountains and sunsets. House has everything you need: spacious and well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful week long getaway

Every detail was thought of at this beautiful lakeside home. Our family of 5 stayed for a week and enjoyed swimming, boating (we rented a motorboat for 2 days) and having happy hour on the dock. The owner is great and the house has everything you could want in a lake house. Look forward to staying again.

Fabulous family fun

We had a wonderful time for winter break at Flatrock. We came with our four kids ages 14, 11, 10 & 8 and they were in heaven with the snow, sledding nearby, skied three days and lots of good eats nearby. Everything you need for a fun holiday!

Wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! An excellent experience with an excellent host! This property is exactly how it is described. Charlie (the owner)is super helpful and communicates well! A must as a place to rent for a vacation at Long Lake! We would definitely rent again at this location.

Wonderful and relaxing

Our stay at Flatrock was great. We have been to the area numerous times over the past years and this was by far the best. The house and location were amazing. The sunsets near Mt. Washington were spectacular. The house was spacious and clean. Enough room for 6 of us.

Great location, Amazing house,

This house was everything I thought it would be and more. The house was clean and had everything in it you could possibly imagine to make your visit run smooth. The owner Charlie was also great to work with. We will definitely be going back for future visits..

Fabulous stay at Flatrock

We had a wonderful week staying at Flatrock, everything was as advertised and in top notch upkeep and order. Wonderful family vacation and was a fantastic week. Charlie was a very gracious host and very accomodating. We even left some personal belongings behind and Charlie is mailing our belongings to us.

Great Family Meet Up!

Gorgeous lake views, beautiful home and the amazing convenience of a dock. We met up with family and were able to take our boat out for a few great rides. Charlie has the house well stocked which made traveling with littles so much easier. We would love to come back for longer!

Start to a family tradition!

The weather was perfect and the water was great! Lodging was fine, did some cleaning when we first arrived, plenty of room, nice having a washer and dryer ( had two babies ). Only big bummer was the oven was not working, had to adjust our menu and get creative with a crock pot and the grill with the food we pre-prepared for the week. We all did have a wonderful vacation!

Alas, my unanimous 5 star rating is no more.....there is an old expression that you can't please all the people all the time....but I still try as I have been for 14 years now. With respect to two things mentioned in the guest's review..... Cleaning....I personally ensure that the house is fully cleaned and stocked with all the essentials before a guest's arrival. Please see other guest reviews that will confirm how they find the house upon arrival. Oven...sadly the oven did have a power "brown out" and needed to be reset; the reset has been done and the oven works perfectly to this day. Charlie

Lovely home for 2 families. Excellent weather, the dock and lake couldn't have been more perfect for floating and watching kids jump for hours. Very peaceful and quiet. House was clean, enjoyed eating supper out on the deck in the evenings.

Wonderful Family Destination on Beautiful Long Lake

Our expectations were exceeded with our arrival at this lovely property. Lots of space, well maintained & stocked. Beautiful new large deck and wonderfully clean lake front setting. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming, even with a few days of rain, we had lots of space for games and quiet spaces for down time. We definitely would recommend it and hope to be back again! Charlie was super easy to communicate with and very accommodating!

My passion is to have the house perfect for every guest family and to get a 5 star review. I guess I can't please all the people all the time. I personally clean the house in-between guests and have an 87 item checklist; received no complaints at the time of the stay. Maine regulations determine how close a house is to the lake....the older the house the closer to lake....the newer the house the farther away. My house is as close as it can be given its only 20 years old. Same thing for fire pits, they cannot be near the lake per regulations.

Loved Flatrock

Had a marvelous week at Flatrock. The house was immaculate when we arrived with music playing and windows open and just perfect. The property is beautiful with great access to lake. We have been to Long Lake many times but just loved this place. Charlie was easy to work with and answered all questions in a timely manner. Thank you again

Great Rental Experience, and Beautiful Home

We can't say enough about how great this lake home was for our family. The home itself was well maintained, clean, and fully equipped. We spent the week swimming (it was in the 90s for most of the week), reading in the shade, paddling, playing pool, and even managed to hike Hawk Mountain on the coolest of the days. Charlie was extremely helpful, and provided all the info one could want about the house and the area. We highly recommend this property!

Maine Weekend Reunion

What a great home, fully equipped with everything you need. The house is in a great location with amazing views + Lake access and a fun yard to relax in. The Home is extremely clean, well maintained and the owner provided very good directions as to use of everything inside as well as what to do in the area. The lake is amazing in the early fall with a level of quiet unmatched, I very much recommend taking in a weekend here...Won't be disappointed.

Great stay at Flatrock

We had a great long weekend up I Harrison! It wasn't the warmest weather for boating but we made the best of it. Plenty of room in the house for our party of 8. The house was very clean and neat. Lots of deck space for relaxing and a nice fire pit to cap off the nights. The house had everything you could need from the kitchen to beach towels. The house is located at the end of a road so there's plenty of privacy. Highly recommend Flatrock for your vacationing on Long Lake!

Our vacation at Flat Rock was perfect - great location, beautiful home and great hospitality.

The accommodations were excellent - very spacious house with open format perfect for family gathering and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all. The view of the lake from the house is beautiful and the dock is awesome for swimming or sitting for sunrise or sunset. The house is located just at the mid point of Long Lake - halfway between Naples and Harrison. The home is located at the end of the road which provides a great deal of privacy. Owners go above and beyond to provide all the comforts of home and their hospitality is evident through out the house. If you are looking for the perfect lakeside summer vacation this is the place - a truly great value.

Exactly what we expected from the photos and description listed on the website.

The property was easy to locate, plenty of parking, directions on how to access entry into the property were precise and easy to follow. There were no surprises because all the details were clearly laid out before we arrived. We were pleasantly happy with the cleanliness of the property and the first class amenities. The owner, through his several emails, was extremely kind and made us warmly welcomed. I would highly recommend this property to rent for a family of any size.
