Sin duda volveremos de nuevo. Definitivamente usará el Chase "N Rainbows en el futuro para otras estadías en Maui".

18 de marzo de 2019: Sue Jay de Iowa dice: ¡Increíble vista al mar desde el condominio! Me alojaría aquí de nuevo a pesar de que la unidad es un poco anticuada. Sugeriría que se haga un inventario después de cada reserva, ya que faltaba el secador de pelo de la unidad y teníamos que comprar uno. El inquilino anterior accidentalmente se lo había llevado a casa y regresó a la oficina unos días después. No es un gran problema, sólo una sugerencia. El octavo piso era genial para quedarse ya que las vistas al océano eran increíbles.

VALLEY ISLE RESORT: Actualización del proyecto de edificio comercial del complejo a partir del 3/11/19:

La planificación para la reconstrucción del club de salud, la cochera de Porte, el vestíbulo y la pasarela hacia el edificio de gran altura está en marcha. Aquí hay una línea de tiempo estimada:
• Inicio de la construcción (fecha de inicio propuesta - pendiente del proceso de aprobación de permisos): 1 de agosto de 2019
• Fecha de finalización estimada de la construcción completa: finales de mayo de 2020

El acceso a la playa en el Valley Isle Resort puede cerrarse de vez en cuando debido a las condiciones del océano y del oleaje. Se han instalado bolsas de arena a lo largo de la costa.

Great place but needs repairs

This place would be an easy a 5-star rental but has several issues.1. The dishwasher has been broken for quite a while, judging from the sign on it, several weeks. When I inquired, it was not scheduled to be replaced for at least a week after my stay. The management company or the owner did not seem to care. New dishwashers were in stock at both Home Depot and Lowes. I did not come to Hawaii to hand wash dishes.2. Yor can only open the over about 12". There appears to be a new refrigerator that is too deep blocking oven opening even if you open the refrigerator door.3. The electric and hand can openers are both broken.If they fix these issues, I would quickly rent this unit again and give it a 5-star rating.Clean, comfortable beds, well stock kitchen and great views.Management company wanted a separate rental agreement but had two email addresses for me. One correct and one I never heard of. Of course they sent the document to the wrong email. Only found this out about 2 days before my arrival when I inquired about check in instructions.

Very clean, great ocean front. Beds especially twin beds and sofa bed were very hard. Woke up sore every morning. Everything was excellent except beds.

Condo conditions

Location is Great, pool and beach are great. Condo conditions: Rotting door in bathroom, mold around mirrors, toilet leaking onto floor, toilet seat broken, most importantly the Refrigerator in the kitchen did not work. A tech visited and measured the inside temperature after 36hrs and the temperature read 53 degrees!!! I asked the main office to have owner to replace and never heard back. How sad that an owner making a huge profit on US amd others yrVeling great distances can't afford to make some critical/essential repairs and upgrades. How sad that we had to cram all our essential food into a very small frig in the dining room!!!!! Also, if the vaccuum was provided for renters to use, good luck. The electrical cord is broken, and its very old. I will not recommend this facility to anyone going forward. As a managing business, i would think that it's your responsibility to insure the quality that you represent. I would never provide such a sub-par facility. I would be ashamed.

‘Bare Minimum’

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was really disappointed with the condition of the condo. Nothing has been updated since the 1990’s. The carpet had stains all over, the furniture was extremely cheap, scratched, or rusted. The appliances didn’t work well, the dishwasher was broken, the refrigerator didn’t keep food cold, and the air conditioner (if there even is one) doesn’t work and the Oceanside bedroom gets to be about 80-88 degrees in the afternoon. The shower curtain was all ripped. The best phrase to describe this condo is ‘bare minimum’, it’s obvious that the owners of this condo we stayed in does not put any money back into its upkeep. This place has not been remodeled or updated since the 90’s or early 2000’s. I’ve stayed several times using Chasing Rainbows, they’ve been great to deal with & usually the condos are in great condition, however this one was not. Very disappointed in the condition of the condo & everything in it was breaking, broken, or in poor condition.

You can’t beat the view, the carpet needed cleaned. my daughter had a allergic reaction so her and her family that was staying with us had to find another condo to stay in. I called the property office and left a message for the manager, but by the time she called back they had already booked a non-refundable one. She said all she had was a 1 bedroom, but that doesn’t work for 5 people. So they moved and we stayed. I had verified 3 times that the twin beds would be put together to make a king bed. That wasn’t done we had to do it. There was no kitchen trash can, housekeeping went out the next day to buy us one. There was supposed to be extra keys in the condo. There wasn’t, we got one more the next day. The big refrigerator didn’t keep things cold, the door handle was held on with painters tape. They had a new small refrigerator also, which shows they knew the big one wasn’t working. Washer had sand in it, so it had to be clean before we could use it. But the W/D did work good. A kitchen cabinet door was hanging by one hinge. So maintenance came and fixed it. Cable wouldn’t work, Maintenance came twice and had to reboot the box several times, but then it only work a couple of days. Furnace filter was very dirty and hanging down out of the ceiling in the closet. I told the manager within the first couple of days about it. No one every came. Patio table was rusted all around the top.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay very much, however we were a little disappointed with the condition of the unit. The fridge did not work very well, one of the cupboard doors was hanging by one hinge, and we ended up buying a new frying pan/spatula and a couple other items that were in pretty bad shape. Other than that the views were great, the beds were clean and comfortable and we hade a great time.

I expected more…

I will start off with the positives…great location and amazing views. Overall, this is a very dated unit that just feels tired. The day before arriving to the unit, I received an email stating the dishwasher was broken. I reached out to the property manager to discuss. I asked if they could provide paper plates and plastic utensils to help with us not needing to spend time washing dishes. Their response was no. They would leave extra sponges and soap so we would have enough to wash the dishes. The mind blowing part was they did not leave ANY sponges. There was plenty of dish soap, though. When we got to the unit, late at night, I pulled back my covers to go to bed and there were several long, black hairs sitting on top of my sheet. Trust me, my hair is neither black nor long. The tub/shower area for the main bedroom had hair and used soap in the shampoo holder. There were no additional pillows for the pull out couch, which one of my kids decided to use as the back bedroom was quite warm (even though it was January). On our second day there we were told by the building management we would not be able to use the decks, as there is issue with many of the decks having issues with spalling concrete (it deteriorating). The equipment they leave for their guests to use was horrible. Only one of the three beach chairs even worked. We ended up renting our own. There is more disappointment I could share, but I think the point is made. I would much rather spend a little more as I am sure I would get a lot more value and comfort for my money.

Unit 808 is a not stay here

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. Management is inadequate helpful and slow to respond. Stayed at Valley Isle Resort Unit 808 and its a dump. The pics on the website are from 1989 so when you arrive in 2023 and see nothing hasbeen updated or replaced you will feel like you got the old bait and switch routine pulled on you. That's how w felt. Came here for our honeymoon and was dissatisfied the moment we walked in the door. Feel free to enjoy your vacation with a broken refrigerator, rusted out dishwasher,broken kitchen cabinets and broken utensils. Ever open a bottle of wine with half a cork screw? Well stay here and that joy will be all yours. Ever see a ceiling in the livingroom right over yohr head that was missing screws and when you turn it on more screws fall out, well that luxury is also all yours if you stay here. On top of this the Chasin Rainbows Management is a joke. They will not be quick to reply to your concerns and will not take any accountability or offer any compensation for your expensive aand horribly dangerous and gross experience. The location is great,and the view is spectacular but lets talk about that...they show pics of whales and say you can see them from the lani..NOPE. The whales are out there,but so super far off the shoreline you will barley see the spouts of the whaleseven with 400.00 boniculars the whales are out of view. Did see a sea turtle close to the shore, so that was accurate but the pics lead you to believe you will see sea life just looking outside..nope. Next, we staying in the winter,January 5th - 11th and this is prime time for whales its also prime time for rougher surf which made sleeping a nightmare. You are so close to the ocean the waves are very loud and due to the architecture of the building and location of the bedroom the waves are not melodic but more cacophiness in nature which made sleeping difficult. Also, I know it states there is no A/C..YOU NEED IT TO SLEEP,EVEN IN WINTER. DO NOT STAY HERE...EVER!!!! HUGE REGRET

Cannot beat the view. Apartment needs some updates

This is a fantastic place. Great location. Great (no fantastic) view. Comfortable beds. Lovely people working at the site. Good pool area. Would stay here again simply for the above features. Now some of the short comings…. The kitchen is old and tired. That would be okay except that the fridge is at the end of its life and really did not get cool enough. Food did spoil so we learned to buy fresh fish and meats and not purchase in advance. This is the single most frustrating issue. The dishwasher was also poor. Cosmetically, the lanai furniture was quite rusty. A table cloth was an early purchase to cover it up. However, despite these issues, we had a great stay here!

Superb View and Location!!!

Great ocean view and view of Molokai. Also saw a shark on the beachshore from the balcony. Kitchen and bathroom can use a little updating. Kitchen cabinet missing a cabinet door.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good location. Great view. Outside furniture completely rusted. Tiny coffee pot from a budget motel. Bathroom has no vent and toilet lid didn’t fit. Oven had food on the bottom and door. Washer dryer was great! Dishwasher soap dispenser didn’t work. Patio screen and door off the runners and didn't close (fixed by maintenance). Hole in bedroom screen (no AC). Maintenance removed but never replaced screen! Directly west sun made living and bed rooms very hot. Floor fans covered with dust! Sufficient dishes and cooking supplies. Refrigerator very clean. Small dorm fridge wobbly and unstable. Hard to turn knob for front door screen.

Great location. The balcony view is amazing....enjoyed my mornings and evenings on it.

This property is in a great location with an A+ view. On the downside, this unit needs updating. For example, the TV's are from the mid/early 90's, cheap coffee maker was broken, balcony table had rust on it, furniture dated early 80s......etc. Our friends stayed in a unit 2 down from us. Their unit was nicely updated with working appliances, new flooring, smart TV, etc......it was really nice. The owners need to spend some money to update...if so, this place would be 5+.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was not ready when we arrived; cleaning crew had not cleaned unit from prior renters (2-hour delay). Unit is much more "worn" than pictures show, and is missing some common things: workable can opener; flatware for more than 5; ice cream scoop; scissors. Beds are well worn. (We had to ask for second set of sheets.) Management company would not return multiple e-mails about cleaning fiasco or condition of the unit. View is priceless.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you ignore what all is missing and only focus on location then it is a great place. The condo is supposed to have 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lock on the bathroom door was not working. When i called on maintenance and they spoke to owner, I was told that the owner doesn't feel locks on bathroom doors is must and if i want to pay for replacement the owner will ALLOW that . We were a party of six with three females . Forget abt females even the males didn't feel comfortable going in a bathroom with non working lock . The living room and dining area furniture is old but still functional . Bathroom tub was old and stained .

Patio carpet filthy. Dishwasher leaks onto kitchen floor. Screen door to deck holes in it which allows bugs in.

Maui family trip

We were a little disappointed at the overall condition of this unit. The location is great with a beautiful oceanfront view, however the interior of this condo needs some serious TLC! There is a missing door on a kitchen cabinet, the ceiling fans did not function most of the time, the main bathroom has a somewhat slippery tub floor with no grab bar and the shower head is old and shoots water in your eyes and can not be adjusted. Also the twin beds were so uncomfortable that our adult kids could not sleep in them. You can feel the springs coming through and they are super squeaky! They ended up sleeping on the couch and floor. Not what w intended to have for our accommodations! The main couch is also very squeaky as well as several carpet stains throughout the unit. Enjoyed the great view but unfortunately that was about it!😢

Great location!

This property is in a great location looking straight out over the Molokai Maui channel. Sunsets over the north end of Lanai....spectacular! No need for AC this time a year, so no issues there. The unit was clean, but a bit "tired" and it really wouldn't take much to spiff it up a bit. The kitchen is reasonably stocked with pots and pans, but some are in need of deep cleaning. We did not get any dishwashing soap or dishwasher powder/liquid... that is usually provided by most VRBO properties. The master king bed was fine, although we laughed that the top sheet and the light waffle blanket were reversed when the bed was made before our arrival!!! Overall, you can't beat the location and the views. That's what you're paying for!!!
