EL APARTAMENTO :
El NUEVO apartamento ... !! Pasa por alto el río Tíber con Ponte Sisto y una pequeña plaza romana típica. El apartamento acaba de ser renovado por un renombrado arquitecto romano que pudo enfatizar las características de este noble edificio de finales del siglo XIX.

TRASTEVERE:
Trastevere es una pintoresca zona medieval situada en la orilla oeste del Tíber. El área escapó de los grandes desarrollos que cambiaron la cara del centro de Roma, y es un lugar encantador para pasear, comer o relajarse.
Trastevere recibe su nombre por su posición "sobre el Tíber". Separado del corazón del centro de Roma por el río, el área retuvo sus calles estrechas y su población de clase trabajadora cuando el resto de Roma comenzó su expansión del siglo XIX.
Trastevere encanta a los turistas, aunque descienden en números que oscurecen ligeramente la personalidad de la zona.
El corazón de Trastevere es la Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere, una plaza cuadrada peatonal bordeada de restaurantes y bares caros, palacios desteñidos y la iglesia de Santa Maria in Trastevere. Los escalones que rodean la bonita fuente central son un lugar de reunión popular para una multitud no típica (cuidado con los malabaristas sin lavar).

La iglesia de Santa Cecilia en Trastevere es una de las iglesias más interesantes de Roma. La estatua junto al altar se basa en el cuerpo del santo patrón de la música, martyred St. Cecilia, que fue encontrada descompuesta en su ataúd en el siglo XVI. Desde aquí, es un corto paseo para visitar la Isola Tiberina (Isla Tiberina).
Trastevere se encuentra a pocos pasos de Largo Argentina en el Centro Storico; alternativamente, puede tomar el tranvía número 8 y descender en la primera parada sobre el Tíber. No hay una estación de metro cerca.

Wonderful location and host.

Very well equipped stylish apartment with a great kitchen, comfortable beds in a fabulous location. We stayed for a month and made this our Roman home away from home. (The only consideration is the loft area has slightly lower ceilings so very tall people may have to wear a helmet :-) The owner, property manager and staff were all pleasures to work with.

Beautiful apartment...just not for a family with kids due to the loud bar beneath the apartment.

The apartment is very clean, nicely appointed, has a well stocked kitchen, and has a great location in a unique, lively neighborhood. The only problem was the neighborhood was too lively for us. The apartment is two floors above an extremely popular bar that stays lively until 2-2:30am. The kids had difficulty falling asleep with the loud bar customers. The bar was loud Saturday, Sunday and Monday night, all the nights that we stayed! If you are a young hip couple looking for a lively place to stay, , or a family that sleeps hard, then I recommend this place.

Clean, modern apartment with a terrific hostess and in the perfect location!

We booked this apartment for a brief stay in Rome and are thrilled with our selection. Constanza, who manages the property, provided us with detailed instructions on how to operate everything, and then spent a lot of time telling us about sights she recommended we see. She couldn't have been more helpful, charming or informative! We have probably been to Rome 7 or 8 times, and this is by far the nicest location we've rented. There are many restaurants nearby, lots of fun wine bars where young people congregate, entertaining street performers, and Campo di Fiori is just a stone's throw away. We walked to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and Forum...but be forewarned, my husband can walk for miles and miles, having missed his calling as a member of the Roman Legion. I would recommend this apartment to any couple, or friends. Be forewarned that one of the bedrooms is a loft, so there's not a lot of privacy, but this was no problem for us. There's also a very spacious, very private bedroom and bathroom at the back of the apartment -- a real sanctuary! You will not regret renting this lovely, modern unit whether you're staying for just a few days, or a couple of weeks.

Loved Trastevere

We loved our unit in Trastevere. The location just off the Tiber river was fantastic. Just steps below the building and you are in the heart of everything that Trastevere has to offer. Just over the bridge on the other side is the old city center in Rome. It's the best of both worlds. All of the most important tourist sites are within a 30 minute walk, with many being far closer. Paola and Costanza were great hosts. Costanza met us at the unit when we arrived and went over everything in the unit and even gave tips on places to eat or visit. Communication with Paola was easy and she was always responsive from the moment we booked our stay. She even helped us arrange for transport to and from the airport. The unit itself was clean and very attractive, and provided plenty of space for our family of 4 adults. Everything in the unit appeared new and worked well. There was nothing more that we needed that was not supplied. The unit is as nice as shown in the pictures. Some people have complained about noise in the area, but that never bothered us. The only thing that would be nice is if the building and unit could install digital entry keys or keypads. There is a security gate and then three more doors to the unit. Digital entry would have been nicer than always carrying around a couple of sets of keys. However, that is obviously not specific to just this unit. We hope to make it back to Rome and would love to stay in this unit again.

Do not hesitate. Book this property!

I stayed in Paola's beautiful Trastevere apartment for two months this summer, so I can say that I got a thorough impression of the apartment and neighborhood. I will try to write a full review for future travelers. First, location location location. The apartment is located in Trastevere, a lively neighborhood along the Tiber River. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, supermarkets and more within 5 minutes walk. There is a taxi stand less than half a block away so if you ever need to get to Roma Termini with a lot of luggage, it is easy to do. If you cross the Ponte di Sisto bridge, you are within a few minutes' walk to Piazza Navona. Walking to the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon from this apartment is easy and scenic. It takes about 35 minutes. We also walked to the Vatican from here. It took 30 minutes and was an easy straight walk along the river. Location is A+ and everyone I spoke with agreed. The gated building is extremely safe and secure. The apartment is newly renovated, clean, sunny, and tastefully decorated. The living room contains a big, comfy sectional with flat-screen tv. The table has extra folding chairs, and there is a large pantry with a few staples and plenty of dishes. A big high-end range in the kitchen though I didn't use it much. A dishwasher. Full-size fridge. An upright piano which my kid used to practice all summer and yes it was in tune. A little bar at the window with stools for coffee and people-watching. Electronic blinds were cool. The master bedroom is a good size with very tall (20 foot?) ceilings. A small desk. The en-suite master bath is newly renovated with a shower. Even though there is an extra router, it is true that the wifi doesn't work as well in that bedroom. But you can sit in the window seat in the hallway leading to bedroom and it works fine there. Second bedroom in loft area is comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Bathroom has large jacuzzi tub (no shower). It has a handheld hose for washing hair. We used that tub more than I thought we would. Nice to relax after a long day walking around Rome. As for the noise which some other travelers have commented upon, it is true that Paola's windows are super thick and insulated. She put some money into those windows! Most nights, noise did not pierce the windows. But every now and then the piazza did get a little loud; however, it was never enough to keep us up at night. Highly recommended.

Perfect family stay!

We loved the apartment. Absolutely no problem with outside noise. The windows were great! Costanza communicated with us ahead of time and arranged our transportation from the airport then met us at the apartment. She was a pleasure! We loved the kitchen and found everything that we needed in utensils, pans and dishes. Very well stocked. We would love to come back to Trastevere again. The location was great with lots of restaurants and shops. Very easy access to all the other areas of Rome. We walked everywhere. Thank you again for having us!

Sehr schöne Wohnung im schönen Trastevere

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dieser Wohnung sehr genossen. Da das Wetter mitunter wirklich schlecht war, ist es um so schöner gewesen, dass die Wohnung so gemütlich und gut ausgestattet war. Wir waren zwei Erwachsene und unsere 12-jährigen Zwillinge. Da das eine Schlafzimmer auf der Empore liegt und somit offen zum Wohnraum, ist das eventuell nicht jedermanns Sache. Man weiß es aber ja vorher und uns hat es überhaupt nicht gestört. Die Kinder fanden es toll und sehr gemütlich dort oben. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und mit sehr viel gutem Geschmack eingerichtet. Es fehlt einem an nichts. Die Straße und auch die Bar unter der Wohnung hört man, wenn es still in der Wohnung ist. Wir haben trotzdem gut geschlafen und das, obwohl wir ansonsten sehr ruhig am Waldrand wohnen. Wir haben das trubelige Viertel sehr genossen. Zu Fuß erreicht man alle Sehenswürdigkeiten ohne Probleme und in der direkten Umgebung gibt es viele Möglichkeiten gut zu essen oder auszugehen. Die Betreuung und der Kontakt zu Constanza und Paola war sehr nett. Vielen Dank für alles 😊

Amazing location, beautiful apartment and really helpful instructions.

Our family of four absolutely loved the apartment. The neighborhood is filled with great restaurants and is a block from a taxi stand, if needed. Constanz spent nearly and hour with us getting us acquainted with the apartment and sharing tips on where to eat and shop. It was SO helpful! And Paola was very easy to communicate with in making the arrangements. I highly, highly recommend this for your next stay in Rome.

Cute apartment but deceiving description

The first thing I need to say about the apartment was that Paola and Constance could not have been any kinder. Paola checked in with me every day to make sure everything was ok. The apartment was adorable and well appointed. The location is great - right in the heart of Trastevere overlooking the river... so why not 5 stars? The apartment is above a bar, and even though the windows when closed do block out some noise, the noise level is still very loud. I have an apartment in a very urban area and am accustomed to street noises but this was above and beyond. We had to sleep with ear plugs every night. Next issue was the description says “2 showers” which was important to us. The second “shower” was a shower hose in a large jacuzzi tub, which was attached to the loft bedroom. The ceiling in the bathroom was so low, that my head touched the ceiling when getting out of the tub (I’m 5 ft 4 in). Lastly the 2nd bedroom was a loft - as pictured, no walls and below the loft the ceiling was very low. A tall person would be constantly hitting their head there. It was very clean and we still enjoyed our stay. The kitchen would be a chefs dream. The stove was amazing. The master bedroom and bath was spacious and comfortable. It would be a great place for a couple or even family with young kids, just beware of the noise, and shower limitations.

Perfect ending to a fabulous family vacation

The location of this apartment was ideal for our family of 4. It allows you to explore the busy streets and sights of the more hectic parts of Rome or get lost in the more quaint areas of Trastavere. The apartment itself is stylishly decorated, clean, extremely comfortable, and secure. Paola was very easy to communicate with prior to our arrival and helped us set up an airport transfer as well. Her friend Constanza checked us into the apartment and did a thorough walk through to show us how everything works. She was very kind and helpful with tips on restaurants etc that she thought we would enjoy. She made sure that we felt comfortable with everything about the apartment before she left. Highly recommend for families or couples looking for a beautiful apartment in a fun, lively location. Grazie Paola!

A blissful month in an ideal residence overlooking the Ponte Sisto.

The apartment was beautiful, elegant and welcoming. It met our needs for an extended stay perfectly. After museums and restaurants a wonderful place to come home to. The architecture is a pleasure to live in and the amenities are first quality. It seemed a pity to just make coffee and poached eggs on such a magnificent stove. We enjoyed the energy and vitality of the youthful revelers in the piazza below and were grateful for the triple-glazed windows that kept the sound to a minimum. The location of the apartment right at Ponte Sisto was excellent for exploring both favorite places in Rome and discovering the delights of Trastevere. Paola was a gracious and responsive host and we felt privileged to be able to stay in her lovely home. We felt sad to leave and hope we will be able to come back for an extended stay in the not too distant future. Our time in Rome was a very happy one and staying here was a special experience that made it even better. Thank you.

I can't say enough good things about this apartment or it's location.

We loved Trastevere and the location of the apartment right at the ponte sisto bridge. It allowed us to walk to all of the fine piazzas in Rome in one direction or all over Trastevere in the other. The apartment felt like home. The couch was very comfortable as were both beds. I recommend adding a comforter/duvet to second bedroom; Americans like to have cover even in August! Unit was clean and sleek, had effective black out shades in each window, and a/c worked well. Could not hear noise from outside. Although wifi didn't reach the master bedroom, it worked great in every other location in apartment. Even though we felt extremely safe, we enjoyed entering the apartment via a heavy iron, locked gate, then through a six-inch wide locked front building door, then the gorgeously solid and secure front door to the apartment. Landlord provides two sets of keys, color-coded. Elevator to first floor holds three people or 3-4 bags. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back!!

Great family stay in Trastevere! (Two adults - Three kids under 12)

We had a fantastic time staying in Paola's apartment. The location is terrific and within walking distance of all the major sights in Rome. The neighborhood has a very young and vibrant vibe with tons of great restaurants and interesting shops that stay open late. The apartment itself has everything you need and more! It's beautifully decorated, very spacious and private, the air conditioning works great, the wifi connection is solid, the beds are extremely comfortable, the towels are luxurious, the kitchen has everything you can imagine, and the washer and dryer work great. Ahead of our stay, Paola was great to communicate with as she answered all our questions completely and promptly. Perfect Roman Holiday

Simply the most wonderful apartment in the heart of the eternal city. Modern finishes throughout plus fantastic doubled glazed windows to keep the noise out and cool A/C in. Amazing kitchen set up makes for easy breakfast and even dinner if you cannot decide from the hundreds of nearby restaurants/trattorias. Bus stops are a few moments away (either side of Tevere) for easy access to all Rome has to offer. I could not think of a better apartment to be based in for a visit to Rome. We are a family of 5 and this apartment was perfect for us. We could explore any part of Rome and return to rest / reset at any time of the day.

Wonderful Apartment in the Perfect Location!!!

We loved staying in this apartment! Trastevere is so fun with yummy restaurants and a great nightlife!!! Our 23 yr old daughter, 20 yr old son and 17 yr old son had the BEST time in Trastevere!!! We loved Rome and the apartment was perfect! Its spacious and lovely. It has a cool loft, great space and a well equipped kitchen. It felt very secure and safe. Paola and Luanna were so nice, responsive and so easy to work with. We would absolutely stay here again. We all agreed that we wish we had more time in Rome-- such a vibrant city, with incredible history, yummy restaurants and a fantastic nightlife! We danced one evening on the bridge to the Jewish Ghetto ( just a block away) along with a huge crowd. A reggae singer was singing and as people walked by, they just stopped and started to dance. How fun!!! Right?! There is also the BEST bakery in Trastevere --Pasticceria Mattei-- we were obsessed! You have to eat Suppli too! Thank you Paola for sharing your lovely apartment with us! Grazzi! Vacanze romane con amici

Splendida vacanza.Ho fatto da Cicerone ai miei amici che per la prima volta visitavano Roma. L'ubicazione ottimale della casa sul Lungotevere Sanzio ci ha permesso di girare a piedi in lungo e in largo l'intera città senza troppa fatica.La casa è veramente bella:ben arredata,fornita di tutto e forse più.Come d'altronde promesso da Paola che ringrazio tantissimo per la sua cortesia. E' stato bellissimo vivere la "vivacità" di piazza Trilussa e di Trastevere in generale,sapendo poi di trovare un ambiente tranquillo e silenzioso nella casa di Paola ben isolata acusticamente. Da consigliare per una visita di Roma a 360 gradi.

Home Run!

Beautifully renovated apartment -- from the wooden shutters to the fabulous rain head shower to the "hidden" refrigerator. Fabulous and affordable restaurants/bars right outside the door, and easy walking distance to Vatican and Coliseum. Clean, comfortable, cozy. My only suggestion is to throw two more bed pillows on the bed in the master bedroom. Other than that, it was the perfect stay for our family of 4. Grazie!

Un Séjour formidable avec tout Comfort!

L'appartement de Paola repond parfaitement à la description et photographies exposées. Très bien situé, nous avons pu nous rendre à pied partout dans la ville et nous pouvions finir nos journées touristiques avec une ambiance festive dans le trastevere. Un large choix de petits supermarchés, boulangeries, restaurants et lieux où manger une glace à deux pas de l appartement ont rendu le séjour confortable du côté logistique. Nous avons installé le 5e lit (fouton) aux pieds du lit de couple dans la mezzanine et notre plus jeune fille (12ans) a dormi correctement. Parfaite propreté, linge de lit et toilette impeccable et de belle qualité! Merci Paola pour ce partage! Famille Nguyen Lorente

Nice space; close to everything.

Tastefully decorated and super-clean 2 bedroom apartment close to train and bus stops, nice restaurants and bars. One bathroom only has a spa tub, which I did not really understand when I looked at the photos. So, our whole family had to shower in the other bathroom, which was not that convenient. Wi-fi router only works in the kitchen/living room, so you cannot access wi-fi in the master bedroom, which is also a nuisance . But, overall, I would recommend this property.
