3rd Annual Thanksgiving

My wife and I were fortunate to spend our 3rd straight Thanksgiving here and, once again, had an incredible stay. We just love the views, the sounds and the comfortable house. It’s everything we want for a quiet, romantic getaway. Dealing with Holly is always so easy. We can’t recommend it enough and hope to return again next year! Thank you as always!

Great Nantucket Nest

A terrific out of the way cottage that pays huge dividends in location, privacy, and outstanding Atlantic views and direct beach access. The deck was fantastic, the home was clean, well-maintained, and equipped. Sunny days walking the endless beach and cool, clear nights enhanced our stay.

Amazing Location

We spent four glorious days looking at the ocean and walking on the beach without another person in sight! We saw whales spouting in front of the house while we drank coffee and shooting stars at night. The fishing in front of the house was great and there was a seal who showed a keen interest in what we were doing. It was exactly the autumn break we needed!

September get away in Nantucket!

We have stayed here several times in the past and once again had a fabulous time! We had a great time hiking, walking and riding bikes, as well as (of course) walks on the beach. The location is just unbelievably relaxing and gives us a good time to just relax.

The perfect stay

We loved our return to this rental! We spent most of our time relaxing on the porch taking in the gorgeous views. We loved walking our dogs on the beach every morning. Holly and the caretaker were so helpful and communicative. Highly recommend this rental!

Wonderful rental

We loved the house and the location so near one of the loveliest beaches on the island. It is at the end of the airport runway, so there is some noise associated with that, but not a big deal really. The pictures are totally accurate. The only thing to improve our experience would be to outfit the kitchen better for people who want to cook and eat at the house. The basics are there, but some of the pans are scratched teflon pans, the can opener wouldn’t work and the toaster oven was very finicky and difficult to operate. The owner was fantastic. Good communication and she helped us out when we were trying to get off the island in a storm. Over all, a great time.

A Nantucket dream beach getaway!

The location of the property is fantastic, and is well kept by the homeowner. The online listing stated there would be A/C, however this was not the case. Overall, we enjoyed a great week at the house, and would highly recommend this rental.

Great stay

My wife and I stayed in this house during the first week of June. The weather was perfect and the views from the house are amazing. There’s a small foot path that leads you down to the public beach access. The house is off the beaten path and about 20 minutes from downtown. This place is perfect if you’re looking for something a little more secluded and away from the busy town center.

Thanksgiving getaway

Beautiful location!

This beach house was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. It was our first visit to Nantucket, and we were blessed with absolutely perfect weather for the 5 days we were there. We loved sitting out on the deck in the afternoons just watching the water, and our one fearful rescue dog was very comfortable with the fact that there was literally hardly anyone around! It is so quiet and peaceful...just what we were looking for, and a great base for island exploring. The sand road was a bit of a haul at first, but after a day or so we were used to traveling it and it wasn't bad at all. The house is very comfortable, and was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Also, anytime I reached out to Holly, she responded right away. I would definitely recommend this house, and definitely in the off season, as the island was generally not congested at all.

Thanksgiving getaway

My wife and I enjoyed a week getaway over Thanksgiving and were fortunate to stay here. The place was exactly what we were hoping for, very comfortable and a phenomenal location! Holly was great and we would definitely stay here again. The sound of the ocean and the views every morning were incredible. We rented a Jeep for the week so the long dirt road drive to the house was not a problem for us. We loved the remote location and would highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet, off the beaten path getaway, with the ocean 50 yards from the back deck.

Never disappoints

I think this is our 4th stay here and will not be our last. Madequecham has become one of our favorite areas of the island. You can't beat the home location for views and general privacy. Holly has always been very responsive and accommodating. I don't want to rave too much because there will never be availability for our returns!

Perfect remote peaceful vacation

Property was clean but not “polished” - absolutely perfect for low-stress vacation with 2 teens and dog. Gorgeous, remote setting with views of ocean from deck and master bedroom. Airplanes fly over only 1-2x per day during set hours. Not bothersome. Would need bike with large tires to get out to main roads. Without rugged bike or a car, it was tricky to get cab/Uber drivers to accept requests. Must be flexible if you want to get around by Uber. Perfect for people who are content to cook in most nights and spend all day on deck/at beach.

Another wonderful stay

We stayed for 2.5 weeks and loved it. It feels like home to us. We had a crazy storm for a couple days and the house held up very well. It’s perfect for a couple or small family. A very special place on our favorite part of Nantucket.

Perfect Nantucket Vacation Rental!

Holly's home is absolutely perfect if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay on Island. The home is cozy and has everything you need. Also very conveniently located near the beach (about a minute or 2 walk). My husband, 2 dogs and I had an awesome stay and cannot wait to book again for next year! 10/10 would recommend.

Had an incredible few days at this very special property on the ocean. It was peaceful, serene, cozy and the view - SPECTACULAR! Not to mention a very short drive to town with all the shops and restaurants Nantucket has to offer. The dirt access road is a little rough. 4-wheel drive helped a lot, especially when it rained. The air traffic in October was minimal. The proximity did not take away at all from our vacation experience. The host, Holly was absolutely lovely, responsive and answered all of my questions. What an incredibly special place on Nantucket. I can't wait to come back! Thank you so much Holly!

Never disappoints

This is our 3rd time staying at this home and it never disappoints. We especially love it for its prime locations, steps away from a quiet, pristine beach where we would take daily morning and sunset walks with the dogs The road to the house is a 2 mile bumpy dirt/sand road off the beaten path behind the airport. It feels secluded compared to other neighborhoods on island, but that's we prefer on vacation. We've never really wanted for anything while staying here- it's got all the amenities you need for a casual beach vacation. Holly has always been very responsive and communicative with us over the years and we look forward to returning next summer- it's already booked!
