Canopache (palabra india Wampanoag para "lugar de paz")
Fantástica casa de 2600 pies cuadrados, completada en octubre de 2003. Puedes escuchar el sonido de las olas desde esta casa al revés en 3 acres con techos altos, toneladas de luz solar y vistas panorámicas del océano. Cálido, ligero, abierto, aireado y tranquilo describe esta escapada acogedora.

El piso superior tiene un plano de planta abierto, chimenea y techos estilo catedral en la sala de estar y comedor, suite principal con techo y balcón tipo catedral y cocina con mostradores de Corian, isla de bloques de carnicero de arce con colgantes de vidrio italiano. La sala se abre a una gran terraza con vistas al océano de 180 grados. El primer piso tiene una gran entrada, 3 dormitorios, sala con un sofá cama y puertas de terraza que se abren a la segunda cubierta.

Al aire libre hay un gran patio privado con hortensias, rosas de playa, paredes de piedra y senderos, flores silvestres y un gran patio con una gran ducha al aire libre. Está a pocos pasos del océano y a 6 millas de la ciudad.

La casa está totalmente equipada para sus necesidades de vacaciones. Totalmente amueblado con toques agradables y amplios jardines. Another great year at Canopache

Our third summer at Canopache, we absolutely love it here. The house is perfect for families, with a massive yard for tons of activities. We love the location, a walk to the beach, a 5 minute ride to Sconset, or a 15 minute ride to town, really can't beat it. House is always well maintained, can't wait to come back!

Beautiful Property in Gorgeous Location

We had a great week on Nantucket at Canopache, despite a hurricane and only a few sunny days. The layout of the house is ideal for two families. We had plenty of space. The kitchen has mostly everything you'd need for cooking, including a Vitamix which we loved having to make smoothies! The owner of the home is extremely communicative and responsive. One thing to note is that there is no AC in the house. It was unnecessary while we were there, as the temperature was very cool, but if it had been a really hot week this would have been tough. The owner did mention there's always a breeze, which we definitely found to be true, but sometimes the humidity was very heavy. Overall, the house was as expected and we would recommend it to others!

The house was great and had plenty of room for two families with elementary and preschool aged kids. Views of the ocean from the deck, great yard, outdoor shower, and easy to get to the beach! We would stay again.

A memorable week with our family!

This is our second summer at Canopache and again it was a very special week spent with family (including our dog)! The house has a wonderful flow and the views are beautiful. Marcie is super nice to work with and we plan on continuing this tradition!!

We Keep Coming bACK To Canopache!

We've tried various rentals over the past 15 years visiting Nantucket, and Canopache is by far our favorite!! (our 5th year in 2025!!) We love the house, the location and the peacefulness! The sunrises and sunsets are magnificent! It's also a short walk to the ocean! And a short bike ride to the bike path! It's all good! Looking forward to another stay and making more wonderful memories in 2026!

Our Happy Place

I am almost reluctant to share our secret! We have been coming to Canopache for 11 years, it is truly our happy place. Peaceful and quiet, at night you are under a carpet of stars. It's only a short ride to Sconset and Town is about 20 minutes away (far enough to be out of the fray, but close enough if you want to head in for dinner). Marcie couldn't be a better host and the house is fully equipped with everything you need for a great beach vacation! We love Canopache! Karene and Al

Excellent location and great stay!

We had a fantastic stay at this Tom Navers Nantucket property! Everything was exactly as listed – the home was clean, spacious, beautifully maintained, and fully stocked with every amenity we could need. It truly felt like a home away from home.What made the experience exceptional, though, was the property owner, Marcie. From start to finish, she was incredibly responsive and supportive—always available to guide us through the check-in and check-out process and answer any questions we had.We did encounter a brief power outage due to inclement weather one day, but Marcie was supportive and helped us navigate the situation, providing reassurance, and practical tips. Her care and attention made all the difference .Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Nantucket—we’d gladly stay again!

Beautiful, just as described

We had a wonderful time staying here. We spent a lot of time outside playing in the yard, there was plenty of space for all of us and the kitchen had everything we could’ve needed! Would definitely stay again!

Four nights in early May

My husband, daughter, son in law and I had a beautiful four nights at Canopache. It is a tastefully decorated and very well stocked house. Three of the family were working on projects for part of the time and the internet was great. The living area and kitchen are on the second floor which gives a wonderful light to this area, even on a rainy day. There were many places to sit and enjoy the view. The view was wonderful and one could look out over the island to the ocean. We could hear the ocean and in the morning there was glorious birdsong. It is also very private which would be a great relief in the busy summer months. All in all , would love to go back. Lots of beds and lots of space . I highly recommend this house It's a wonderful house. Thank you Frances

Wonderful stay!

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this beautiful, family friendly home in Nantucket. The location is just far enough outside of the "hustle" of downtown Nantucket, literally steps away from peaceful Tom Nevers beach and a quick drive to quaint Sconset. The property manager's attention to detail was second to none. The home was very clean, bright, open and comfortable. I'd highly recommend Canopache for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat for friends and family.

Great house on a great piece of property.

Warm and comfortable house that was clean and well maintained. Kitchen was spacious and well stocked with dinner ware and house wares. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and very comfortable. Decks had great views of the Atlantic in the near distance, and the property was beautiful and very well maintained.

Amazing Week at Canopache

This was our second time renting at Canopache, and it did not disappoint. When we arrived, the house was terrific, well-maintained, and clean. We love the house layout, which allows for great airflow from the ocean, which kept us cool during the night. The kids loved the grounds and the outdoor shower! We love it, will definitely recommend it, and will be back again!

Wonderful House and Setting for a Nantucket Vacation!

Fabulous house for a Nantucket family vacation. Lots of space for our group of 6 adults. We enjoyed several wonderful dinners with family and friends thanks to the thoughtfully provisioned kitchen. Days started and ended on the deck taking in the gorgeous views. We highly recommend.

Perfect!

Beautiful setting! Walk to beach! House very well stocked (easy to cook in kitchen). Loved that our fur babies were welcome- house even has water/food bowls- nice touch. Outdoor shower- nice and private. Marcie was great to work with! ideal location- but car needed. Plenty of sleeping room- 3 Queens, 4 twins (two with pull out trundles), 3 + 1/2 baths.

‘Our’ Nantucket House!

We just returned from 2 weeks at ‘our’ house and it was amazing as always. The house is perfect for our multigenerational family. Beautiful stay on Nantucket!

I stayed here for a long weekend with a group of 8 ladies and had a wonderful experience! The house was lovely, private, and clean and provided plenty of room for all of us to spread out and enjoy. We did not rent or bring a vehicle for our stay and had no problem quickly getting Ubers to and from the house! I would highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future!

Amazing weekend at Canopache

Amazing home and host all around! From the onset, Marcie was welcoming and incredibly accommodative as we worked to schedule a surprise stay for our Mother’s 60th birthday party. She was a tremendous host and ensured a comfortable and unforgettable weekend. The home itself was perfect for a large family gathering in close proximity to the Tom Nevers park. Beautiful views and incredible home - unbelievable stay and cannot wait for our next trip back!

Great winter stay

We rented Canopache in February to celebrate a milestone event with a group of close friends. The accommodations were great. Everyone enjoyed the stay and the gathering in the cozy main room with the fireplace going during a full blown gale was enjoyed by all. The kitchen facilities were complete and our dog enjoyed having her own cabinet and puppy-guest bowls. The house easily passed "clean" test by my wife. Not an easy hurtle. Visiting Nantucket that time of year is a unique experience and Canopoache, with its great view, is the perfect location to fully appreciate it.

Great stay

The house is in a great location - set back and quiet with great views from the wrap around balcony. The outdoor shower was a plus. Convenient to a lot of places. The host was very accommodating and communicative. Overall a great stay.
