Beautiful place in a quiet and secluded location. Perfect for relaxing by the pool but also well placed for exploring Rome (easy via train) and surrounding areas (via car). The hosts were very welcoming and extremely helpful.

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic stay at Chez Raz. 2 families with 8 persons total. The place was in very good condition, clean, has lots of space and the swimming pool is a must in the heat. The host is very helpful and service minded.

We loved our stay.

Great property, pool and location. Paola is the perfect host. She is a lovely person and was on hand to answer any questions we had along with sharing her vast knowledge of the area. We left a happy and fully relaxed family.

Fantastic holiday

Absolutely fantastic holiday,superb villa and loverly hosts.we didnt go out much only one day to rome.you didn't really need anything else.the grounds and the pool was enough for us.just had a relaxing holiday .the kids Absolutely loved the pool as we did.we cooked most of the time outside.and there is a supermarket just up the road for what you need. Thanks to paul and paola running us around and getting us back to the airport he didnt have to.once again thanks for a loverly holiday

Charming place with very nice outside kitchen

We had three very nice days Chez Raz. The swimming pool is fantastic and the house is well equipped (the air conditionning really saved our nights !). We enjoyed the outside kitchen and the dining table next to the pool with those so charming lights. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the italian "dolce vita". The host (and her dogs and cats) is very welcoming. The surroundings are very beautiful. We did not go to Roma as we already knew the city but we enjoyed the colli albani and the south part of lazio. There are many spots that worth a visit. A wonderful souvenir !

Even better than the photos!

Brilliant homely villa with a very relaxed vibe, helped by having the lovely owner Paola on site to help answer our questions, and keep everything clean and well stocked! Beautiful large grounds (olive grove) gave the impression of tranquility, the only downside being that a car was needed to get anywhere. Pool was lovely- big, clean and warm. Table tennis and table football an added bonus, as were yoga facilities. Bedrooms were really comfortable with blackout blinds meaning we all had great sleep! My personal favourite bit was the fully fitted outside kitchen by the pool- cooking at home never felt like a chore. Have recommended this place to my friends wholeheartedly!

Un petit coin de paradis

Nous avons passé des vacances de rêves chez Paola. La maison est très agréable, grande, avec la climatisation dans les chambres. Tout est décoré avec goût. Le jardin, la piscine et la cuisine d'été sont magnifiques, tellement agréable, bucolique, un vrai havre de paix ! Et que dire de Paola ? I have to honestly say that every step of the process was wonderful. Paola & Paul are absolutely wonderful people. the property was relaxing and spectacular and we enjoyed our stay. absolutely felt like home. the rooms were large with plenty of storage and the views were amazing. definitely would recommend and stay there again.

Der perfekte Urlaub

Das Ferienhaus mit Pool und sehr großem Garten bot uns die perfekte Umgebung für einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub. Die Schlafzimmer (mit Klimaanlage) hatten alle ein separates Bad, ansonsten haben wir uns kaum im Haus aufgehalten, sondern die Outdoor-Küche genutzt und den Tag am Pool verbracht. Der Pool ist auch für sieben Personen groß genug (ca. 10 x 5 m) und gut gepflegt. Sonnenliegen, Sonnenschirme, Handtücher, Bettwäsche - alles, was man benötigt, ist vorhanden. Paola ist eine großartige Gastgeberin, die sehr hilfsbereit ist (und dabei überhaupt nicht aufdringlich). Sie hatte auch immer ein paar sehr gute Tipps (Essen, Einkaufen ...) für uns. Der Ort Velletri ist nicht so spektakulär, dafür aber natürlich Rom, das mit der Bahn in knapp einer Stunde gut zu erreichen ist. Alles, was wir für das tägliche Leben benötigten, gab es im nahegelegen Supermarkt (Carrefour), der auch ein breites Sortiment an frischen Produkten hatte. Insgesamt sind wir sehr glücklich, die Zeit hier verbracht zu haben.

Perfect Italian holiday retreat

What a lovely and relaxing stay we had at Chez Raz. We felt immediately at home in the comfortable house, despite a delayed journey from the UK, and Paola and Paul made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Ample living and bedroom space in the house and a substantial amount of outdoor space too - a peaceful garden full of fruit trees (the vines were laden with delicious grapes). Great sized pool for our 12-year-old to enjoy and lots of beds and seats for us 4 grown-ups to relax in too. Loved the outdoor kitchen, great idea for those sultry warm evenings and hot days. Spent lots of time fussing over the collection of cats and Snoopy the dog, as well as playing table tennis, table football and lots of board games. Velletri is in a lovely part of Italy, with easy access to lots of places - we only managed a day trip to Rome - and wonderful food and people. We did experience the worst summer weather for around 25 years - quite amazing thunderstorms - and would have liked a little less rain but it did bring respite from the otherwise fierce sun. We hope to come back as Chez Raz is such a home from home and we'd like to spend more time in the area. Highly recommended!

Loved our stay

Myself, husband, mum & dad and sister niece & nephew (3&6) stayed here last week. We absolutely loved our stay! The pool area and gardens are vast with the outdoor kitchen providing the perfect evening setting. You will need a hire car as you can't really walk anywhere from the villa but 2 mins away in the car and your in Velletri where there are you plenty of shops and restaurants. We drove to Anzio beach which was only 45 mins drive, worth a visit. The sea was walm with sandy clean beaches. Amazing ice cream shops and pizzerias. We also got the train into Rome which took an hour and was only €6. Wouldn't recommend driving unless your confident as the drivers are slightly crazy!! Lake Lago is amazing to visit in the early evening the views are amazing, lots of nice restaurants and bars. However if you didn't want to leave the villa there's enough for you do there to keep you entertained. There's a table football, table tennis , plenty of games and ofcourse the pool. The hosts are lovely and onsite if you need anything. Would recommend and 100% book again.

Wonderful stay in the countryside

With our family of 4 we stayed for 2 week at this wonderful place. The house was pleasant, with plenty of space and air-conditioning. However, most of the time we were outside near the pool and the outside kitchen. Paola and Paul are great hosts and it was an absolute pleasure to stay with them. We will be back next year!

Beautiful surrounding and great host

We had a fantastic week at Chez Raz. Paola and her family showed great hospitality. The house was perfect for our purpose, chilling at the pool and bbq. Beautiful surroundings and lovely garden where we could pick our own vegetables.

superb grounds and wonderful hosts

rented the apartment for 2 weeks with my wife,son,daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren aged almost 3 and almost 1 respectively.Plenty of indoor space for all of us; large bedrooms and bathrooms with abundant hot water, and good air conditioning in each bedroom. Towels provided and changed every 3 days.Everything lovely and clean.The grounds are superb, [you can pick your own oranges,limes and cherries from the trees and Paula provided fresh vegetables from their plot] the pool excellent and the views to the mountains spectacular.There is a large table by the pool and Paul was busy completing the fitting of a sink,cooker and fridge complete with cutlery,dishes,glasses and pans so that guests could prepare food outside without the need to go back and forth to the apartment. This was typical of the thinking of the hosts who really look after their guests.The beaches of Anzio were a 40 minute drive away and well worth the visits.Great for kids.Took the train to Rome from Velletri for 8 euros return with no problems. Velletri itself is not the prettiest Italian town but it is still worth visiting which we did several times for meals and drinks and had really good experiences. Even though our Italian is very limited we found the locals extremely friendly and helpful. The only off note is that you cannot really walk anywhere from the property because the main road has no pavement or lighting and the traffic too fast for the conditions. Overall though this did not spoil our stay. Finally, a big,big thank you to Paula and Paul who were the most wonderful friendly,helpful hosts .Definitely recommend the property .

Nature, détente et confort... un petit paradis.

Nous avons passé, tous les quatre (couple avec un enfant de 6 ans et un ado), d'excellentes vacances dans ce lieu magnifique et bien entretenu. Paola, la propriétaire, est très accueillante et discrète. Les animaux sont adorables. La piscine est un vrai plus aux périodes les plus chaudes. L'appartement est très agréable et bien équipé. Cette location a tout pour plaire à une famille. La location est située à une heure de route de Rome, elle correspond à sa description, elle est propre et bien entretenue, la propriétaire nous a donné de bons conseils (elle parle parfaitement l'anglais, le français et l'italien), nous recommandons cette location. Nous avons apprécié le restaurant Antica Hosteria qui se situe à proximité, les pâtes et les pizzas sont délicieuses, le prix est très correct. Nous garderons un bon souvenir de notre séjour à Velletri. Merci Paola.

The perfact place for relaxing after visiting Rome

The appartment to rent is wide and convenient. Fully equiped for cooking. Paola and Paul are great guests. They speak fluently French and English, which is very convenient to get any information you need. The property is wide and we had the chance to pick up vegetables and fruits. Velletri is really the end of the suburb of Rome and has all the services expected as a town. You can take the train to get to Rome - which is great - but expect one hour to get there as it is very slow. The area is spectaculor and great beaches not far. Really recommended for a relaxing Rome area experience.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Velletri. La maison est très agréable, très bien agencée et très bien équipée. La piscine et les extérieurs sont très agréables. Les animaux d'une compagnie adorables notamment pour les enfants. Paola est charmante, très serviable, de plus elle parle extrèmement bien le français. La maison est aussi très bien située pour les visites, nous avons visité Rome en train (la gare n'est qu'à 5 minutes).. En bref, tout était réuni pour que nous passions un bon séjour.

Merci à Paola et toute sa famille pour l’accueil chaleureux et cette superbe location! Logement très agréable, propre, bien équipé, bien situé (commerce à proximité, 1h Rome, plage 40 min). Le cadre nous a enchanté : grand jardin et potager, champs d'oliviers, vignes, arbre fruitiers.. Beaucoup d’agréments avec une belle piscine, des tables dans le jardin à l'ombre de la treille ou du auvent, un barbecue, et de nombreux jeux à disposition (trampoline, balançoire, table de ping-pong et baby foot, panier de basket). En bref, une superbe location que je recommande vivement!

The perfect holiday retreat!

We have just had the most wonderful holiday at Chez Raz. We loved the accommodation which was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and gave us everything we needed and more. Paola, Paul and family are wonderful hosts they made us feel so welcome and relaxed and were full of good advice. The kids loved the pool and all the animals. It really was the perfect holiday. We cannot recommend Chez Raz highly enough.
