The location is right in the Alfama area close to everything. There are tram stops, train stations near by and several major historical sites within walking distance. Claudia was super helpful and we had a wonderful experience.

A Hidden Gem

The apartment was just as described and ideal for our needs. The central location in the historic center made it perfect for sightseeing and put us close to many, many restaurants. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

Alfama!

The steps are steep but the apartment has whet we needed for a short stay. The bed is super comfy, almost didn’t want to wake up! There were some shops nearby to grab some essentials and everyone was kind and helpfu! Great stay. I want to come back.

A central perfect location

This was a very clean and well equipped apartment for our stay. We liked the location and the restaurant just down from us was very good with bonus of several sopranos to entertain.

The area was lovely. We were not there as tourists but to spend Christmas with Family who live in Lisbon. The location was central, close the the waterfront and a 10 min walk to the downtown. You can choose to go up the stairs( Visit the lady who sells the Ginja on the way) and get to a great vantage point or down and explore fantastic little restaurants and Fado houses. The apartment is cute and has everything you could need. It was a treat to come in and find cookies, coffee pods tea and sugar. Claudia was so responsive right down to giving us the location of the store to buy pods! We stayed for two weeks, the building was quiet and the residents were friendly and chatty. I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend. The only caveat is the shower. My Hubby is just over 6 ft and 230 lbs the shower was very tight for him but doable.

Great location in Alfama

If you can't manage stairs then this is a problem. We found the accommodation great and well provided with everything we need. There was even a gift of wine and cookies for us upon arrival.We really enjoyed our stay and would use it again should we visit Lisbon in the future.

Lisbon first time visit

Centrally placed, small but well- equipped apartment in historic Alfama. Easy access to all city attractions and for travel beyond. We had 4 nights stay which we thought was enough time to see the City and its attractions. We can recommend the apartment and would likely stay here again on a future visit.

Lovely flat in an excellent location in Alfama.

The flat is clean and tidy in an excellent location in the Alfama area of Lisbon. Communication with the owner was efficient and informative. Lisbon is a lovely city to visit, but very hilly. Make sure you like walking!

Wonderful Lisbon apartment

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates glasses and a variety of appliances. We were within walking distance of many shops and great restaurants as well as historical places. One recommendation is to bring good walking shoes. This area is very hilly.

Excellent location, great for two people and central. We loved it. It was so great to have washing machine, fridge, oven coffees and machine and kettle. Be prepared to walk up and down as this is Alfama. Would recommend this location in a heartbeat! Thank you!

An authentic Alfama experience!

This small but well appointed apartment in the historic Alfama neighborhood is a wonderful experience. The streets are narrow, the hills are steep, and the stairs - many, but the neighborhood is colorful. We agree with everything that Terry and Peggy say in previous reviews and also agree that is an experience to enjoy. Communications with the host were very easy and friendly. The restaurant just up the street is not to be missed. Overall a terrific stay in Old Lisbon.

Alfama apartment

We loved the location! There are restaurants around every corner and All of them were delicious. People were so friendly. The apartment is quaint and cute. The only draw backs are the hot water in the shower is inconsistent and there are a lot of steps to get up there. We are in our 70’s and handled them well so most people should be fine. Claudia is so responsive and was a wonderful hostess. We would stay again.

Wonderful Location

Beautiful historical neighborhood. We truly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is charming but the best part was getting to know the locals. Due to unexpected circumstances, we had to extend our stay. Our host, Claudia guided us through the process and helped every step of the way. She even called us a taxi on the day of our departure, so we wouldn’t have to make an international call. We’d love to go back and if we do, we are definitely stay at the same apartment. Thank you Claudia for being a wonderful host.

The shower is extremely small and the hot water only lasts one minute. We had problems with the door and I tried to contact the owner, but she never answered us, we were lucky that a very nice young man helped us. The best thing about the apartment was the location.

Cute little place in the heart of alfama

We had a wonderful stay in Alfama! The apartment location was perfect for our purposes. We didn’t spend much time there, so the fact that place was much smaller than I expected (probably my fault for not reading closer) was not an issue. Just as some other reviews, the bathroom is very small and the shower was tiny! Only enough water for a speedy shower, ya gotta move quick or it gets chilly fast! P.S. if you have a few extra lb’s on ya, getting through the shower doors much be a challenge! ;)

What an adventure...

Location of the property is wonderful for exploring Alfama. Not recommended for anyone not physically fit. Much walking is required, a car would be impractical and exploring involves almost constant climbing of hills and stairs. Rua de Adica is very hard to find the first time and it takes a few days to understand the maze of streets. Well worth it, though. Suggest taking a taxi or Uber when arriving the first time. Love the property, lots going on in the area. The bed is comfortable, but the bathroom is tiny and the shower is very small and takes some getting used to. All in all this is a decent rental for two adventurous people in a great location.

Beautiful and clean apartment in a location fairly central to many attractions - Castelo de Sao Jorge, Praca do Comercio, a couple miradouros, and some restaurants and shops. Three tall women fit pretty well - though it was a little tight (shower is small), but we knew that going in. The S. Anthony Festival was just getting started and so there was a lot of activity right outside, but with everything closed up and a little white noise machine and a fan, it was not an issue. There are a lot of stairs to reach the apartment - more going up away from the apt. than going down (we caught Ubers on the closest major street down - across the street from the cruise terminal) and it was just a short walk. We had everything we needed in the apartment, and the wine and treats left by our host were very welcoming! A charming little flat.

Este fue mi primer apartamento, cuando llegué a la universidad a estudiar solo por primera vez en la capital. Elegí este apartamento ya que estaba situado en el centro de Lisboa y estar cerca de todos los transportes. En ella guardo las mejores experiencias de mi vida tal vez esa es la razón por la que te llamé Lovehome.

The first customers of the Lovehome Apart were Italian and when they left leave a note on the dining room table saying: A nest in the heart of Lisbon.
