Great location

Home was very nice. Great location to Taos Ski Valley. Plenty of space for the 4 adults and 3 children that went. Plenty of dishes to use, hot tub was nice, clean and hot. Beds were comfortable. House was more on the warmer side.

Our stay was very nice … the property is lovely, and well-located to enjoy the Taos area …however, the kitchen was in need of cleaning. With a bit of TLC the house would be a perfect get away.

Loved the common area for hanging out, TV was a bit small but worked out great for watching cable TV/hooking up our Nintendo switch for games. Neighborhood was great for morning walks around and the stars were out in numbers at night with little light pollution. Easy drive to the gorge, town, and Taos ski village.

Fantastic...can't wait to stay again!

We loved our stay at Casa de los Huesos! We were a group of friends skiing for a long weekend at Taos. The location of the house was great...about 20-25 minutes to Taos Ski Valley and about 10-15 minutes to the center of Taos with grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The house itself was beautiful and unique! Very accurate to the listing and photos. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking and hanging out. The fireplace and the hot tub were huge hits. Can't wait to stay in this house again sometime...if we are lucky! Also property manager was responsive and it was super easy to check in/check out. Thanks for a special weekend!

Big bedrooms; quiet location, easy access to town and ski resort

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is well located in a peaceful valley between the ski hill and the town. Views are awesome. Bedrooms are large. Hot tub was heated upon arrival which was nice! Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Couple of things that could be considered: larger tv for great room (it's really really small), instructions to use kiva fireplaces, update toilet in master as it has a loose handle and prone to run if you don't make sure handle lifted all the way), better showerhead in master, clean up yard a bit to make it more "inviting" in winter time if possible.

Great home away from home!

This was the perfect house to get away from the city and all of the fireworks over the 4th! The house was spacious and well appointed and having a garage available to park in was amazing and helpful. I loved that 2 bedrooms have a king size bed and the 3rd can be made into a king and all bedrooms had their own baths. There are two separate outdoor areas… morning coffee/breakfast on one and dinner and sunsets on the other! The hot tub was a welcoming soak after a day of adventures and there were sooo many stars to gaze at while relaxing in the tub. One thing to make note of if you are staying in the summer months… there is no AC, but they have multiple fans for you to use, which helped a ton! We would open the doors at night and close them during the day. I would recommend a few more shades or curtains in the common areas to close during the day to keep it cooler. We travelled with two large dogs and they loved the grassy areas and the cool tile floors! They even had dog bowls that you can use. We did bring our kennels and there was plenty of space to put them. Medley is right around the corner, but make sure to make reservations. The views were amazing and we had sunsets to watch every night. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again the next time we are in Taos.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This trip started with our original place being canceled a few hours before we could show up due to maintenance issues, but after an hour, we were put in a new place. The new place was nice, and met all of the same things we were looking for. During the stay, the hot tub would constantly trip the power and stop heating (there was a note to leave the temp at 103 or below, so we had it below that). The worst part was that the plumbing stopped working the afternoon of our second to last day. By the time we realized that all of the toilets didn't work, it was get later in the evening, around 7. We messaged the property manager and they were quick to respond, but the solution was to get a plumber the next day after we checked out. This required us to drive to the nearest gas station multiple times to use a bathroom. Based on the response, I think this plumbing issue is likely re-occurring and should be fixed if they are going to charge the rate that they do.

Plenty of towels available. Plenty of everything. The kitchen is fantastic! Double ovens and lots of room. The chairs at the table are comfy. We enjoyed the hot tub, beautiful views and gorgeous autumn weather of Taos. Spent one afternoon at the Gorge enjoying the trail, the views and the vendors. We appreciated use of the garage. Beautiful house, spacious & well stocked

Had a wonderful stay with family over Easter. House has great views, multiple outdoor areas & the hot tub is a welcome amenity after long hikes. We’ll stocked with everything you need to cook big meals too. Would definitely recommend and plan on returning soon!

Great place!

We spent Thanksgiving with our kids. The house is big and very nice. Breath taking view of the mountains from the front patio and hot tub. The house was very clean and spacious. Everyone loved the house. Easy access to things to do. We would absolutely come back!

Everyone loved this property!!

Our family picked this property for a family get-away because of the location being close to Taos & Sante Fe for shopping and the amenities this home had to offer. It is a beautiful home, with all the furnishings we needed for cooking 2 meals daily. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and hot tub very much also! The living room was spacious and the fireplace was warm and cozy. The only thing that I believe would help this property is a big screen TV as the small one in the den is hard to see. We enjoyed shopping, coffee & lunch at and around the Taos Plaza. Great location being 8 minutes away. We definitely would come back to this property.!

Beautiful house in ideal setting

My wife and I stayed at Casa de los Huesos for a 4-day weekend and could not have been happier with the selection. The pictures do not do the property justice as it is an absolutely amazing house and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the open air. We were able to catch the sunrise over the mountains from the front, the wide open sunset from the back and enjoy a nice fire in the living room at night! The house had everything we needed including kitchenware, spices, extra blankets/pillows, firewood, etc.. and the attention to detail was everywhere (look up at the ceilings which are beautiful themselves). Contrary to some older posts, the TVs all worked with standard satellite channels. The location allows easy access to Taos while being just outside enough to be perfectly quiet. There are other houses nearby but you feel like you are isolated which is exactly what we wanted. Others have commented on the various restaurants but our favorite was the Farmhouse Cafe and Bakery which is just about 2 miles down the road. Overall, one of the best short-term rental homes we have used.
