Fantastic property! The pictures don't do it justice. Lots of nice decorative touches and thoughtful inclusions, like extension cords on both sides of the bed. The views here are phenomenal. Definitely worth getting up early for the sunrise! A true gem!

The property was the perfect distance between Taos and Taos Ski Valley. It was clean and had plenty of amenities. The 270 degree views from the living room were stunning!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hale De Taos was so so Beautiful. When we all walked in, we couldn't believe how beautiful and just how big the house was... We had more than enough room for all 7 of us. I had never rented a house before, but from here out when I go to Taos I will rent this one... It was super clean, with plenty of towels and plenty of extra blankets for the roll away beds. The Kitchen was fully equipped. Judith was very helpful, anytime I text her to ask her for any information she replied back quickly. I 100 % recommend this house. We went to the Indian Pueblo, which was very close to the house. I give Hale De Taos 5 Stars..

One of the BEST places we've ever stayed!

Clean, great amenities, wifi, hot tub, plenty of outdoor seating. The property caretaker, Melanie, was awesome. Our family lab LOVED the green grass lawn at the front entrance. Kitchen was well equipped and we cooked quite a few breakfasts and dinners. Really enjoyed Pizano's Pizza, just around the corner. Great pizza, pastas, etc. We will definitely be returning!

Ski Vacation with precious little snow

We LOVE Taos, and this time actually spent time in town, museums and galleries and of course eating in great restaurants. The house is lovely, the views spectacular, and the location is about halfway between town and the ski valley. Perfect.

Just okay...

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House and furnishings were nice, but the interior is in need of some repair. Broken areas on some of the walls and stains from what looks like moisture/leak problems. Moiture stains also on some of the blinds. We go for views and while you can see the mountains, most of it is over the top of the neighboring houses. Same for the "sunrise and sunset" views. Had these clearly been seen in the photos, we wold have picked another home in this area. We've stayed at a couple of other rentals within blocks of this home with better overall views. This house was nice enough, we had just expected more for what we spent, compared to the others that we have stayed at. Hot tub area is nice and the night sky views were great from where it is situated. There were lots of flies and wasps/bees in the garage each morning and somehow many made their way into the house. By the way, there is only 1 TV and it's in the living room.

The two roll-a-ways had issues, the springs were missing on one side and mattresses to lumpy There were not enough pillows or extra blankets. There was no air conditioner and two windows would not close due to weather stripping coming off. There were small ants in kitchen- suggestion to spray with windex... a good cleaner and repellent for sugar ants. All in all we had a very good time and the space was nice with flow of the house. Oh and My daughter wasn't able to get into the internet to do her Homework.

The first was two years ago. The house is large and roomy. We love the front yard. It was perfect for our dog. Tile floors were great. There are some things that need attention. Both showers need new shower heads. Both only dribbled at best. The coffee pot was very small. We made do since there was only two of us but a larger group would be making many pots of coffee. The toaster was broken. I would have liked a cozy comfortable chair away from the television to read. Instructions for television would be helpful. The house was spotless. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Quiet and peaceful and could see the stars at night! HUGE house with plenty of room to relax and sleep. Everything you would need in a kitchen - down to salt and pepper and olive oil! Just bring the food. Love that! Clean, warm and just a wonderful adobe house with can hot tub! We will be back!! Thanks to Dave and Melinda who was just great with all our questions.

Just what we needed!!!

Had a great time and our German Sheperd loved it. We felt at home since the couch in the property was exactly the same one we have in our own home! My husband is a photographer and got great star and lighting shots over the mountains. We were grateful to see so many shooting stars. Access to everything was very close and easy to get to. Had such a good time we added an additional night to our stay. We travel to New Mexico yearly and was a very memorable vacation. Simply loved sleeping with the windows/doors open and listening to the coyotes at night.

Hale de Taos: Fantastic House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hale de Taos is the perfect home base for all of the happenings in the area. It is a beautiful house, extremely clean, great landscaping, and had all the amenities that we needed on our vacation. It has a beautiful view of the mountains and is in a nice quiet neighborhood only 5-6 minutes from the Taos Plaza area. Our dogs loved the cool tile floors. The rental process was very easy and professional. I would recommend this house to anyone. It is actually larger than it looks in the pictures. I would also recommend the Taos Fly Shop and their guide service. Overall we had a great time and fantastic accommodations during our stay at Hale de Taos.
