The Rookery 1101 - Sweet Retreat

Relájese en la hermosa península de Fort Morgan en Gulf Shores, AL. Esta cabaña está ubicada en THE ROOKERY Community, a 15 millas al oeste de Gulf Shores, justo después del marcador de 6 millas. Disfrute sentado en el porche proyectado y escuche la naturaleza en su máxima expresión. La cabaña ofrece una entrada con cerradura sin llave, WiFi / DSL y satélite. La sala de estar ofrece un sofá cama, 2 sillones y un televisor de pantalla plana de 50 pulgadas. La COCINA está bien equipada con utensilios de cocina, utensilios y electrodomésticos: cafetera normal pero también una máquina Keurig. La zona de comedor está ubicada en el corazón de esta cabaña con capacidad para 8.

El dormitorio principal ofrece una cama Queen, televisión de pantalla plana y baño privado con combinación de bañera / ducha. BEDROOM 2 también ofrece una cama Queen, televisión de pantalla plana, mientras que BEDROOM 3 ofrece una cama doble con cama nido y televisión de pantalla plana. Ambas habitaciones comparten un baño completo con bañera / ducha. También disfrutarás de una lavadora y secadora grandes, ¡así que mantente al día con la ropa!

Cutest Cottage EVER!!!

Cottage was decorated beautifully! Everything was like brand new. Cottage was very clean!!! We enjoyed it so much! Very private even in a community of cottages.

Very nice beach house

Wonderful stay! Very clean and cozy. Everything was provided and was high quality. Very close to the beach. We will be returning to stay again in the future. Highly recommend staying there.

Fort Morgan Getaway

The house was perfect for our group of 7, 4 adults and 3 children. We enjoyed the location, being away from the crowds but also easy access to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. We would go back there again.

Wonderful!

This condo was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone, clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen for cooking whatever you want. Very short walk to the pool also. Beach access is less than a 5 minute drive away. Fort Morgan is about a 10-15 minute drive. The beaches are amazing, beautiful white sand and warm ocean water. The property managers were great, quick to respond to any issues and so friendly. We loved staying here!!

Great quiet location beautiful home and pool

Easy check in and check out. Plenty of space for 2 families with kids. Kitchen floors bit dirty but quick broom and vacuum did the trick. Pictures match expectations and then some. Great place and would rent again. Quick walk to beach and pool was 2 doors down. If you don’t want to be in chaos of downtown recommend highly. Close to everything via car but far enough for peace and quiet.

Great place to stay next to a beautiful beach.

Our family had a great time with friends here at the beach. The home was clean and management very responsive to any needs. The pool and hot tub were an added benefit the kids/teenagers loved. Only downsides were that the internet was super slow, but we didn't really need it. We were there on vacation to disconnect. Additionally, I understand that they are installing high speed internet in the neighborhood, so the future will likely be better. Another annoyance was that there were lots of small, biting flies. Late one night though, it looked like there was a truck driving around spraying a mosquito fog. Overall, our stay was really great. Would stay here again.

Nice cottage, but watch out for roaches

We really enjoyed our weekend in Fort Morgan. The cottage is nice and we loved the pool. There were fruit flies and sugar ants in the kitchen, which didn’t bother us that much. The problem we had was the German cockroaches that lived in the master bathroom. I first noticed one on the ceiling as I was taking a shower. After I got out I started noticing multiple of them on the floor, under the rug, on the wall decor. I took videos and let the property manager know that we were having a problem and I was told that they were sorry and they couldn’t get a pest company out there on the weekend and Labor Day. The longer we stayed, the bigger they got. Also, the internet did not work at all. We tried everything but there was no internet connection. Outside of these things, we did enjoy our weekend.

Quiet, not over crowded, close to beach, private community pool and a beautiful condo

My husband and our two children, now 10 & 11yrs old, have been staying in The Rookery for many yrs. Since our children were wearing blow up arm bands in the pool. We love the neighborhood. Private pool for Rookery guests that's a comfortable size. Close to the beach, the Fort, Gulf Shores and good food, but if you're like us and the busy scene isn't for you try this out. This unit is beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings. Everything you need in the kitchen to cook, if you choose, with nice appliances. They even have a roku, I got to watch my shows! The management company is quick to respond if you have any issues. Plenty of hot water for showers and the air conditioning works great. I love getting up in the morning, while we have it still cold in the house, and sitting outside with my coffee to warm up. Of course having a screened porch makes all the difference with that experience. I had coffee one morning with a baby gator close by, The Rookery is in a nature reserve, so there is plenty of wildlife around. You'll definitely want to come back, we do!

Overall, a great stay

First, let me say, it looks exactly like the pictures. It’s really nice. Some crumbs in the pullout and the silverware drawer but still pretty clean. Really pretty place and nice neighbors. Yes, there are alligators in the pond!!! Second, where the review says “bad WiFi?” Yeah. That’s true. Two of my group were struggling to complete their online coursework but this was the case even using cell phone data so I think it’s just the location. We drove into Gulf Shores (15 minutes) a lot to get the homework done. Third, our dryer quit on Friday. Not much to do about that - it happens - I just hope I don’t get charged for any towels I couldn’t wash with bleach, bc they said no makeup marks. I travelled with two sixteen year old girls, so there was makeup. The pool area was nice, although we only used it one night. There no see’ums were wicked so the screen porch was awesome! The frogs really serenade you. There is a marshy area behind the house and they were loud, in a good way. If you plan on using the sleeper sofa, request bedding. We were one blanket short of a fully stocked home. The beach was walkable for me but probably not for the kids. It was a beautiful beach. Overall, it was a great stay at a reasonable price. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cozy beach house

We stayed in this beach house the entire month of February, celebrating a birthday and our 52nd anniversary. Great furnishings and space. Very comfortable and clean. We would love to comeback if we could.

Xmas at the beach

I enjoyed my stay there. It was quiet and mostly clean. It isn’t a short walk to the beach but it was well worth it. It is true what they say the Internet, well what Internet . Which was a good thing it gave us time to interact as a family. I recommend this place as a place to stay if you are not there to party and but jut relax. Overall it was a good experience.

Beautiful beaches nice location

The property, home, pool and location are nice. The beach is beautiful and less occupied. This was our third visit to the area. Floors were little dirty, only one hand towel was provided, dust pan was broke and no mop. The biggest issue we had was with the rental company not being in compliance of the lease agreement that stated internet access provided. I emailed, called, texted. They reached out to me, only because I contacted the owner or at least the information hanging on the bulletin board to contact. Come to find out that was the previous owner, advised me they sold the property in March. Needless to say we never received internet which was part of our signed lease. The rental company texted me back asking what part of the agreement I was referring to. Hmm really it’s your lease how do you not know what’s in your lease?? I sent a copy and stated it’s the portion that says internet access connect to xxxx with password xxx. It was an inconvenience and our AT&T service was not good.

Beach Stay 2021

This property was very small. The location is great for just wanting to go to the beach. Their is a 30 minute average drive to any attractions or stores. We had 10 and it was very crowed. The pool was dirty and a lot of bugs constantly. Hard to enjoy the pool. The pool area needs umbrellas.

Gulf shores vacation

We enjoyed our vacation and stay at the Rookery! The cottage was great. It had everything we needed. It is right around the corner from the wonderful pool! We would highly recommend it and we hope to return in the future.

Very Relaxing!

Our stay was amazing! I gave it 5 stars and would definitely stay there again. The walk to the pool is very short, and the walk to the beach is not bad either, although we did drive most of the time because there are no public restrooms and when you gotta go, you gotta go. The house is very comfortable and is equipped with just about everything you would need, with a few exceptions. There are pots but they're all non-stick and did not appear to be very new. I personally don't like to cook on that type of cookware especially if they're scratched as these appeared to be. That is a relatively cheap thing to replace and should be done annually, with a stainless steel option. The other issue was that there are no food storage containers, so if you cook there is no place to store left-overs. Again, a relatively inexpensive thing to replace and also could be done annually. Other than that this is an awesome property and I would recommend it to anyone.
