Awesome location and value

We had an awesome stay at this location. It was super roomy, the lanai was fantastic and it was located perfectly close to the pool and beach. Two issues, there were roaches in the dishwasher, normal for Hawaii, but definitely not pleasant. The pest control came by the first day we were there for their regularly scheduled service. They were also painting the exterior building and there were two giant basket lifts right outside our room creating a very unpleasant view for the duration of our stay. There was no mention of this at the time of booking, so we were definitely surprised and a little bummed. But otherwise we had a great time!

While bugs are a part of a tropical environment, and the Honua Kai performs quarterly pest treatments, on occasion pests make their way back. Short commute to the pool

The unit was ideal for 2 retired couples to spend a week. We each had an equal suite and the patio and small yard was ideal for visiting outside. The unit is just steps from the pool and very close to the grills. In late January you are in the shade sitting outside, very comfortable and plenty of sunshine to soak up elsewhere. The unit has the basic kitchen wares and it was enough for our needs after we asked and received more wine glasses. Management was quick to fix leaking ice maker and quickly responded to our questions. The resort was not empty but still quiet and relaxing. We were glad our unit had an inside view. Whales breached and frolicked for 30 min one day just in front of our building.

The resort is great! 3 pools, right on a beach with great snorkeling! Loved the ground floor Lanai. It includes a small lawn, which other units don’t have.

Awesome Condo

We had a wonderful time at this 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. The beds are comfortable, the unit is clean and has nice furnishings. We loved being on the 1st floor & enjoyed several nights on the lanai. I would definitely stay at this unit again. I do think the main lobby areas of Honua Kai need to be updated. The check in process was slow and I think they could use a bit more service at the pool area.

Great location-average room

Great location. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the sheets were dirty. One of the beds had a sag in the middle that they tried to compensate for with an after market pillow top/ mattress topper. The vacuum didn’t work and the iron was broken. The washing machine leaked and was almost unusable. Customer service replaced the iron quickly but they didn’t answer the phone or return voicemails when we called about other issues. It was a very frustrating stay considering the cost of the room. The only saving fact was the easy access to the beach and the parking lot. Because of the other issues, I do not plan on ever staying at this location again.

Our guest experience team takes pride in their prompt responsiveness to guest concerns and we are truly sorry that after the iron was replaced your voicemails were not returned; we have investigated and addressed this service failure with our team. We have reached out to the owner of Hokulani 105 and we are happy to report that they have made some considerable upgrades to the unit. Most notably, the owners have purchased two brand new comfy king-size beds and headboards. They have also purchased a new Bosch washer and dryer. The sofa and lounge chairs are also being addressed. Nice Resort, Condo Needs Work

Very nice location. Resort very well kept. Condo needs an update. Carpets stained and dirty, broken beach chairs, washing machine broke, vacuum broken. No coffee filters, Saran Wrap , plastic storage containers. Contrary to other reviewers the pull out bed was no good for an adult. Maui resort rentals were very quick to respond to problems. Too many problems for the cost of the unit. Would go back to the resort but definitely a different unit.

Fantastic Stay

Very nice location both on the island and at the resort. Everything is very accurately represented. Be aware there is only olive oil, S&P, and coffee provided so a trip to the grocery store is necessary for condiments, spices, etc. Not a deal breaker.

Amazing 40th!

We stayed 7 days with 4 adults and 3 kids. Grounds are beautiful, relaxing and very family friendly. Tip: stop at Costco when you arrive and buy BBQ items for the week. My hubby loved walking to the grills each night to BBQ up dinner. But your own rum & mix cocktails in the room for poolside! Only thing we could have used was additional toilet paper, shampoo/soap. We’ll definitely be back.

Great floor unit!

Nice unit with higher ceilings and easy access to pool area. My family rented 4 units for Thanksgiving week and this one was the most popular to hang out at with it’s easy access to everything. Property manager was very helpful from check in to check out.

Great West Maui Property

This unit was perfect for our family (two adults and two teenage girls), especially with both bathrooms having double vanities. The back door was just steps away from the pool and ocean, but it wasn't too loud. As a matter of fact, we didn't hear our neighbors at all. There was ample parking and it was super easy to get to this unit from the garage. The property didn't seem overly crowded like several other nearby properties. It was also a bonus having Duke's so close. The only thing we could have asked for was a place to hang our wet suits and beach towels.

Great location!

This unit is perfectly located next to the pool, beach and onsite market and Duke's. It was great to have a ground floor unit so the kids could go out and play on the huge grass patch by the lobby easily. The unit was nicely appointed with everything we needed, beach chairs, cooler, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, etc. The other plus of the unit is not having to wait for the elevator, you are basically always right next to your room. I would stay here again next time we visit the Honua Kai.
