Great Umbrian Villa!

Great place to stay while visiting the Umbrian valley. Peaceful, quiet and convenient for visiting surrounding hill towns. If you have the opportunity to have a meal prepared and served by the personal chef known to the villa owner you must do so, the meal was absolutely fabulous! One of the highlights of our trip.

Exceptional Property in a Beautiful Area

Quite simply one of the best homes we’ve ever rented in Italy. Lovely house in a beautiful setting with a fantastic pool just below a lovely village. Great communication from Andrea and both he and the house manager Massimo really helped us make the most of our week in Umbria. Don’t hesitate to book if your heading for this part of Italy!!

Stunning Location

Fantastic location with stunning views. Property located in spacious gardens with good sized swimming pool which was well maintained. Bathrooms were disappointing with showers that were barely big enough to get into. Kitchen very small and not very clean with inefficient fridge/freezer that had seen better days. The location was perfect so would properly consider staying again.

Enttäuscht

Wir waren enttäuscht. Das Haus ist im Stil der 80er Jahre eingerichtet, das man auch überall riecht, darin haben wir uns nicht wohl gefühlt. 2 von 4 Toiletten konnte man nicht benutzen, die Hälfte der Fenster hatte Fliegengitter, wovon die Hälfte nicht intakt war. Keine Klimaanlage. Geschirr noch dreckig von den Urlaubern vor uns. Der Pool, die Lage und das Haus von außen waren das Einzige, was uns gut gefallen hat. Wobei bei dem Pool auch nur zwei Sonnenschirme vorhanden sind und die Liegen auch teils schon ein paar Jahre hinter sich haben. Sehr schade für solch ein Haus mit so viel Potential.

Badeurlaub zum Entspannen

Zuerst einmal: der Garten und der Pool sind toll. Der Pool gepflegt und sauber. Von 8 Liegestühlen waren allerdings nur 4 zu gebrauchen, die anderen waren kaputt. Es konnten also von 8 Personen nur vier am Pool liegen. Das Haus war in einem ziemlich ungepflegten Zustand. Spinnweben überall, manche Moskitonetze zerrissen, Bäder und Fußboden kaum gereinigt. Die Duschen fließen schlecht ab. Den Wasserhahn in der Küche haben wir entkalkt, er funktioniert jetzt prima… Am dritten Tag ging die Kaffeemaschine kaputt. Im örtlichen Supermarkt konnten wir keine Filtermaschine finden. Es wurde uns eine neue Kaffeemaschine zugesagt, aber wir bekamen keine. Für 24 Stunden hatten wir kein Wasser , danach für 24 Stunden kein Warmwasser, weil die Technik versagt hatte. Die Besitzerin ist nett und bemüht, allerdings nicht vor Ort. Wir hatten Dank des wunderbaren Pools einen schönen Urlaub, auch unsere Hunde haben das große Grundstück genossen, aber für 450€ Servicekosten plus 150€ Reinigungsgebühr ließen Service und Sauberkeit doch schon zu wünschen übrig.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt

Das Haus hat seine Ecken und Kanten, aber das erwarten wir auch nicht anders bei den alten italienischen Häusern. Wir haben vor allem den Pool genossen. Bei Fragen oder Problemen wurde dich umgehend gekümmert und die Vermieter waren sehr gut erreichbar. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

A little piece of heaven…

This property was just wonderful. We had an absolute ball. We relaxed so much while we were there. Incredible views in every direction and the pool was big and very clean. Andrea was brilliant and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We would love to come back in the future. Thanks so much.

Amazing week in the heart of Perugia

We had an amazing stay in this house! We were two families with 4 kids in ages ranging between 8 and 11 and the pool was the true gem in this house! The super market was an easy 10-minute drive and there were several cute and very old villages close by that we visited. We spent every evening outside on the patio socializing with lit candles, music and food with a star-lit sky, warm winds and the coziest setting for the perfect evening. We can really recommend this house, the only feedback (that we’ve already given to the hosts) is that the kitchen needs some renovation. The hosts, and all the people who we could contact for any problems or questions were simply outstanding - so service minded! This week was amazing, thank you!!

Great location!!!

We had a wonderful week at this property. Location is private, quiet, and very relaxing. Exactly what we needed! The pool is the gem here. Big, clean and very refreshing we spent a vast amount of time in it. We were particularly pleased with how non-slippery the pool deck was because we have four children. The building is unique and gorgeous. Full of character. The views from it are spectacular! The owner and the property managers are very kind. If I were to mention any cons, I would say that the decor on the inside is a bit dated and so is the kitchen. There is no air-conditioning (which we knew) but it would have been nice in the bedrooms on some of the hotter days/nights. (The owner did kindly provide us with an extra fan.) Having said this, neither of these issues detracted from a very wonderful and relaxing week and I recommend a visit.

Empfehlenswertes Feriendomizil

Phantische Lage, sehr ruhig. Parkartiger Garten mit großem, gepflegten Pool. Frisches Obst aus dem Garten (Feigen, Pfirsiche). Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten Umbriens sind in maximal 1 Std. Autofahrt zu erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe. Wir 5 Erwachsenen haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wären gern noch länger geblieben.

Fantastic property, pool and location!

We were 2 families staying together for 2 weeks in August 2019. The farmhouse is fantastic with plenty of space for everyone to mix as a big group or break out into smaller groups. It’s location is brilliant, a 20 minute walk to the local village (Monte Castello di Vibio), a 7 minute drive to the supermarket near Todi and less than 15 minutes to Todi itself. Further afield Perugia and Assisi are only 45 minutes drive and Rome/Fiumicino is only 90 minutes. Back to the Farmhouse.... The terrace and BBQ were well used and there was not one day when we didn’t spend plenty of time in the pool. There were a few nights when we would have appreciated some Air Conditioning, but this is the only criticism and to be fair the weather spiked at 42 degrees C for a few days. The owner was very responsive to questions we raised before travelling out which was very much appreciated. Finally, the housekeeping team were really brilliant, they showed us where everything was, and were often there first thing in the morning making sure the pool was clean and ready to go for the day. We’ll definitely be back...

Lovely well equipped house

We loved this house and the nearby village of Castello Di vibio, which is a charming very traditional hill top town. We were perfectly located being no more than 50 minutes drive from umbria best towns.

A lovely house, beautiful gardens and surroundings fields, with a wonderful pool.

The house has been most successfully restored with lots of separate rooms in which to relax in the shade or sleep. The master bedroom and bathroom are particularly attractive. We used the barbeque most nights and ate outside for all meals, making use of trees or the shade cast by the house to rest in the heat of the day. The planting of the pool area is very pretty with the scent of lavender and rosemary wafting through the air as you swim. A great bonus was the care and attention provided by Francesca and Giancarlo, who not only met us at Montecastello di Vibio and led the the way to the house, but came to our aid after a major electrical storm resulted in a 12-hour power cut, even carried out a mid-week clean of the pool, and brought home grown vegetables. Grazie mille per tutto Francesca e Giancarlo! The location is excellent for exploring the hill towns of Umbria and we had day trips to Todi, Perugia, Assisi, Montefalco, and Spoleto - all stunning. Speriamo di tornare presto al questa casa bellissima e di rivedere Francesca e Giancarlo,

sehr schöner ort zum erholen und geniessen. wir waren begeistert vom pool. der umschwung ist sehr gut gepflegt. das haus ist für 8 personen gross genug und sehr geeignet. wer die ruhe sucht, ist hier goldrichtig! uns allen (4 erwachsene und 4 kinder) hat es sehr gut gefallen! die hausbetreuer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.0

La pace e la bellezza

Giorni di pace e riposo in una casa dal fascino antico circondata dalla dolcezza della campagna umbra. La casa è bella e comoda e la sua torre le dà un tocco di fascino e di mistero. Il giardino è ben tenuto, peccato non aver potuto usare la piscina. La signora Francesca ci ha accolto premurosamente ed è stata attenta e disponibile per tutto il nostro soggiorno. Pochi giorni sono bastati per farci sentire legati a questa casa, in cui speriamo di tornare presto. Grazie al signor Antonioli per la sua gentilezza e disponibilità.

Magnifica proprietà e splendida posizione

In questo ritiro confortevole, tranquillo e isolato abbiamo trascorso una settimana piacevole ed estremamente rilassante. Il casale gode di un'ottima posizione, circondato da un terreno vasto e ben curato. Gli ambienti interni sono spaziosi e ben arredati. Il proprietario è stato premuroso e gentile. Consigliato a chi, come noi, viaggia in compagnia di bambini, ragazzi e animali domestici, che qui troveranno il contesto adatto al loro sfogo.

Tolle Lage, schöner großer Pool

Das Haus ist am Plan nicht ganz richtig eingezeichnet, es befindet sich in der Via la Favette. Wunderschöne Lage, den großen Pool haben wir bei 40grad ausgiebig genützt! Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung ist funktionell und die Betreuung war ausgezeichnet und sehr freundlich. Es gibt 2 Badezimmer, wobei eines davon leider nur über ein Schlafzimmer zu erreichen ist, das zweite ist für alle ohne Störung der anderen begehbar. Der Außenbereich ist riesig, einige tausend m² Wiese und Felder.

Casale meraviglioso, con ogni confort, ben riscaldato ( siamo stati ospiti a cavallo di capodanno). A due passi il paese di Montecastello con tutti i servizi. Tutto curato e perfetto giardino compreso. Ottima accoglienza e disponibilità. Grazie davvero e alla prossima.

All elements that convinced us to make this property our home of dreams, hoping to ensure even guests unique emotions, as it was for us. Discovering an Italy suspended in time and unique territories.

We decided to buy this house by car traveling in the area. We had relatives in Umbria and turning among the most beautiful and unspoiled countryside we found this farmhouse to renovate. It took many years, a lot of passion (and also a lot of economic effort!), but it came out a structure that reconciles with the world. Far from the smog, from the incessant rhythms of production, from factories and from speeds, here we enter in another universe, in another order of values and feelings. The stone structure that takes you back to other times, the park outside among olive trees, oaks and fruit trees, which speaks of an authentic beauty. Finally, to crown the whole, the private pool, the comfort of the structure and the beautiful view of the surrounding countryside, among the most beautiful in Italy.
