El condominio 1-102 en el Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club Resort está tan cerca como se puede llegar al océano en la Isla Grande de Hawai. La sección de condominios del Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club Resort se construyó cuando los permisos de construcción no requerían que los complejos se retiraran del océano como lo son hoy. Beautiful Oceanfront Property

Perfect location

This condo is situated in a beautifully landscaped complex with stunning views. It offered ample space for my husband, our two adult daughters, and me. The full kitchen was a wonderful convenience for our family. Despite its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, we were just a short distance from town.

Great Location and Views

The unit we stayed in needed some updating but was very comfortable and provided everything we needed for our 8 day stay! We enjoyed using the pool and pickleball courts. The landscape was well maintained and beautiful. We used the barbecuing area regularly. It was well maintained and clean. The unit is blocks away from a large grocery store in case you need extra food or snacks.

ALOHA! This place was absolutely amazing! The View from the Lanai was Gorgeous, the Condo was clean, and for the Price you CANNOT BEAT IT! We will be back next year and plan to rent the same Condo. Mike our host was very responsive when we needed him, and very polite to work with, I even left my headphones behind when we left and he mailed them to me. Great hospitality. If i could give 10 stars I would! I Highly Recommend staying here

The condo is well stocked for kitchen supplies and beach activity. I's very close to a shopping center with grocery store, drug store, movie theater & restaurants. And very close to Kahaluu beach which is an excellent place for swimming & snorkeling. The condo unit is very spacious, and the backyard ocean view is excellent.

Crashing waves are like fireworks show!

This is a very special location. Covenant to Kona town and a great grocery store KTA maybe 2 minutes! Also easy access to main Highway. Very well stocked. Everything you need. Views are the best! I loved the waves crashing against the lava rock. We saw dolphins, whales breaching, turtles, boat activity from the Lani! The condo overall is incredible ! Safe and beautiful. Only 2 negatives for me were there is no hot tub and the carpet really needs replaced. Don’t let that detour you from renting this amazing condo!

Great Location

The place was great. The view was perfect. Sunsets on the water every night. The kitchen was well stocked with almost everything we needed. Grocery store and restaurants were close by. Woke up every morning to the sound of waves.

Away from Kona

Loved the location. Close enough to Kona to take advantage of shopping and dining yet very private and quiet. Great ocean views from the lanai. A little warm late in the afternoon due to the setting sun. This property has all the amenities you would need for a great stay on the island.

Very Relaxing & Gorgeous Views

We took a last-minute trip from the PNW to meet up with some friends for 5 days who were located about 15 minutes south of this location. The images online accurately depict the unit. The ocean views & sounds, sunsets, dolphins, were just gorgeous! Coffee and breakfast on the lanai were lovely…views and location were perfect; it was very quiet! We would book again in the non-summer months. Things we loved: This place had literally everything we needed to make our trip effortless. There were beach towels, a beach umbrella, beach chairs, a cooler, ice packs prepared in the freezer, shampoo/conditioner/body wash/ feminine products, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, all sorts of cleaning supplies, safe in master, etc. The beds are firm, there are plenty of pillows, and the sheets are on the softer side. The kitchen was well stocked, and while we purchased all of our groceries, the only thing missing for our needs was scissors. Recycling was next to trash bin, which was about 7 parking spots down from the unit. Pool/volleyball/bbq were all conveniently located. Grocery store, book store, and drug store were a 10 min walk or 2 min drive…same with the nearest beach – 5 min drive or ~15 min walk. I feel like there is more to add here that I’m forgetting… Things of note: It was the first time we had been to HI in the summer, so while we did book it knowing there wasn’t any AC, we underestimated the benefit of having AC (we went from 60-degree weather to 80/85-degree weather). That was the primary thing I would've changed about this place. The ocean breeze helped make the temperature in the unit tolerable from about 8/9 pm to about 10:30/11 am. Although we didn't stay in the unit during the day, it was noticeably warm by the time we were leaving each day. The bedroom with the two twin beds was the warmest area, but the fans got the kids through the night. This was a learning experience for us. The secondary thing I would’ve changed is the functionality of the sliding glass and screen doors. They were tricky to open/close, and we had to learn how to open them…not hard, just a little irritating. The binder in the living room has conflicting information about rules, and some of the recommendations (e.g. restaurants, but the parks/beach information seemed relevant) are outdated.

Sunsets are beautiful Property is well manicured and peaceful Kitchen, rooms and space all around is great Nearby market and shopping center Kona restaurants//village 10-15 min drive Beach necessities provided 1st contact (M Machado) responds quickly-great customer service Okay things: A bit outdated furniture -still okay considering the beautiful view No A/C—usually okay 2nd floor guest can be a bit noisy Not so great: Screen door in living room doesn’t lock, this is crucial since there is no a/c and being on the first floor didn’t make it safe to sleep with the glass slider open. Fan in second room didn’t work properly Local contact slow to respond Carpet needs cleaning

Great condo

We stayed here with two kids 7,9. It was a hot and humid week. We've stayed in a lot of VRBO (and the other one that I'm not allowed to mention on here) places and this was the first I would ever consider going back to. The view of the ocean was spectacular and we never got bored of it. A lot of small birds and even the odd cat would show up daily. You can easily walk to shops and restaurants too including a major pharmacy brand. The condo was very well equipped and the beds clean and comfortable. The kitchen was the best equipped we'd ever seen, with spices etc There were plenty of beach supplies to borrow including boogie boards, snorkels and chairs. Beach towels too! The pool and facilities were good and the gate easy to use after the first go! The washer and dryer worked really well and the showers had huge water pressure. I hate weak showers. If I had to offer any criticism the place was a bit dated, and it had no AC so was hard to cool at night. The patio glass could also do with a label so people don't walk into them accidentally. There was also no clothes airer to drip dry swimming gear. A great place overall though.

Older suite but excellent location

This condo unit is big and spacious and the location can't be beat. The setting was tranquil and beautiful and the perfect viewing place to watch the gorgeous sunsets. The condo unit itself is old and could use some upgrades and TLC in so many areas: drawers don't close in bathroom and bedside tables so they always hang open; the slider screen doors squeak very loudly when opened/closed; the sink garbeurator really does not work - the food remains in the sink; the carpet throughout appeared vacuumed and relatively clean but extremely worn out; the linen closet door in the main bathroom does not close because of the stacking washer/dryer that has been installed. The cold water shut off in the bathroom was turned off when we arrived so there was only hot available. When we turned it on we noticed that the tap leaked like crazy so we turned it off again and alerted the property manager to it. He responded that yes, he did know about that and would look into it. We didn't hear from him again and so for 10 days so we had no cold water in the main bathroom. Also, when we told the property manager that the three kleenex boxes were empty on day 2 of our stay, he told us to go buy more. There were people in the suite upstairs for only 3 nights throughout our stay. There is very little sound-proofing in the ceiling and we found them very loud. However, despite all of this, would we stay again? Yes! The suite is spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable, there was a lot of storage space, there were beach supplies to use, and the kitchen was well equipped. The positives outweighed the negatives but people should expect an older condo in a beautiful location.

Feels like home

My husband and I really like this unit and have stayed there twice. It has a great ocean view, and you can hear the waves crashing on the lava in front. The unit is extremely well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen, including a huge array of spices. There are beach towels and chairs, etc. in the closet of the 2nd bedroom. It is obvious, though, that people have lived in the unit, and the carpet is badly stained. One of the sliding glass doors is hard to use. To us, these are not deal-breakers because it feels like a beach house. It feels like home.
